DAHLIA:

It can’t be, right? That black wolf couldn’t possibly be my husband!

“What on earth did you do to Dahlia? Where did you take her,” his voice thundered.

“We just went for a stroll. She felt sick on the way back,” I heard Kaist said in response.

“Prince Kaist, I pray there won’t be a next time to this surprised excursions of yours, especially not after my wife comes home feeling dreadful like this!”

Tristan turned around. My head felt slightly dizzy again, and I closed my eyes.

“Dahlia, are you alright?...”

I opened my eyes in response to his voice. It was still my Tristan, but this time, the look in his face had already softened.

“T-Take me to the bathroom please…”

He nodded his head, and in a few minutes, he eased me down gently on the tiled bathroom floor.

I threw out the rest of whatever was in my stomach by the sink.

Tristan knelt beside me, holding up the strands of my hair that were obscuring my face as my stomach lurched and patting my back softly.

“Dahlly, what happened? Why didn’t you tell Lina and the others where you were going? Did you know how worried I was when I didn’t find you here?”

I was about to tell him the excuse that Kaist and I went hunting, but I was far too weak to speak.

To be precise, I felt frightened…

“M-Mate,” I said weakly, clasping Tristan by the shoulders. “Tell me truthfully… Your wolf… He’s a white one, right?... The one with a snowy-white form, right?...”

He held my hand. “Of course, Dahlly… Why are you asking?”

“You… Could you transform into another wolf? No, right?...”

These were very dangerous questions, but I can’t help it. I must know them! I must know the answers at all cost!

“Dahlly, why are you asking me these questions? Did you not see it for yourself the first time we met? You saw him, my wolf – Albus – he was the one who went with you down the cliff and the one who followed you on the cave when you ran away from us… Don’t you remember?”

I looked into his eyes. Was he telling me the truth? Can I still trust his words?

My hands and my whole body were still shaking uncontrollably, and my stomach still felt wobbly and unstable.

I opened the faucet and washed my face and rinsed the insides of my mouth several times with cold water.

“I… I need to take a bath,” I whispered to him.

He nodded. “Alright… I’ll prepare it for you.”

Tristan carried me back into the room and sat me by the sofa. He went back inside the bathroom, and I heard the water come out from the faucet.

I recollected the first time that I had ever met Tristan. I was astonished to see a wolf that was three times the size of a regular wolf. Even Kaist, who was to be the next alpha of my pack, was just half his size…

The black wolf was the same size and built as that wolf, and their eye color were strikingly identical. Only the rune on his head was missing…

Could that really be possible? On the day that Tristan had gone wild and made love to me in his wolf form, I could clearly remember a dark beast taking hold of my body, touching me fiercely, forcing himself on me…

Did I just have a faulty memory, or was it because of the trauma I had undergone at that time? Was it possible that Eve and I had been mistaken?

There was only one way to find out…

“Dahlly, your bath is ready. Let me help you undress now.”

I nodded towards him. I neither had the energy to undress myself nor to argue.

I looked down in embarrassment as Tristan removed my soiled dress. I felt completely mortified that both he and Kaist had to see me in such a state. Now, I was feeling more uncomfortable as my husband removed my undergarments one by one and discarded them in a pile on the floor.

“Alright now,” he said, “Hold on tight.”

I clung haplessly against his neck, my bare skin clinging close to his muscular body. He held me firmly and brought me down gently into the bathtub where the bubbly lukewarm water was reaching up to my knees.

“Is it warm enough, Dahlly?”

“Uh hmm,” I nodded. “Get inside too.”

This was my chance. I must see it with my own eyes. I must see whether or not he’s lying to me…

He stopped in his tracks as if thinking whether or not this was a good idea.

“Get in… I can’t take a bath alone,” I said, clinging closer against the collar of his shirt. We were so close that his red lips almost touched mine, but I resisted the urge to kiss them so. “Take a bath with me.”

Finally succumbing to my demands, he unbuttoned his already wet long-sleeved shirt and removed his pants and underwear, and he joined me inside the bathtub.

I moved closer towards him at the opposite side of the tub.

“Tristan,” I whispered his name softly. “My Tristan…”

This was the way he had loved it… He always wanted it when I called his name in a sultry voice.

“Dahlia, why are you being so bold today, hmm,” he asked as his lips grazed into the different areas of my neck. “Did something happen?”

“Tristan, I miss you…”

I began to wrap my hands around his neck too and kissed him playfully by the right ear, the way that he had done on our first night together.

“Dahlly, I missed you as well…”

We had not made love since that time that he had turned into a rabid wolf, but that would end today…

His mouth searched for mine, and he began to kiss me deeply while stroking my wet body all over.

My plan was succeeding… Just a little bit more…

“Tristan,” I whispered when I felt his member getting ready for mating, “Will you show it to me?”

“Show you what, my love?...”

“Show me your wolf… Let’s mate together in your wolf form.”
