Chapter 26: Chapter 26

I looked at him. His face is straight, with no emotion at all. He came near me; I straighten my back.

"I heard you, Aliyah. Why are you always saying that? If you don't want me, say it in front of me, in my face. Do you want me to believe what Sonia saying against you?" He was so frustrated.

I will feed him again with my lies, I don't want to, but I need to. This must stop, whatever is going on between us is very wrong.

"Believe to her, then. No one stopping you, in fact, that's what I wanted," I said.

He looked confused now. "What? Aliyah, what are you talking about?"

I looked him in his eyes. "I want you to hate me, I want you to be mad at me. I want to be bad in your eyes, I don't want you looking at me with love and kindness. I want you to look at me with hatred and disgust. Do you understand me, Henry? Hate me please, just hate me. Walk away from me from now on," I said then turned my back to him.

I am the one who walked away from him, I never heard him spoke, I thought he was going to approach me, but he didn't do it. I am crying while walking, so this is what forbidden love feels like, it hurts so much.

I stopped mid-way; I poured all the tears of pain. Why does this need to happen? Why God let me experience this? Why is He is doing this to me? Am I a bad person? What did I do to Him to this to me?

I calmed myself many times, I am wiping my tears every time there's a new one. I continue walking to Sonia's mansion. I hope it will solve everything.

I breathe before I knock on their big gate. A maid opened it and when I said my agenda, she let me in. She called said she was going to call Sonia who was in her room. I am just lucky enough to not face her parents today, I am not ready yet. I stood up when I saw her walking on the stairs of the mansion. She was grinning ear to ear when she faced me. I feel a little irritation, she knew she is holding me in the neck.

"Good evening, what's brought you here? Do you want something to drink or eat?" Now, she is smiling that I know it was fake.

I shook and smile, gently. "You already knew why I was here, let's get to that. I don't want to stay longer. I just want to tell you something."

She raised her brow. "What is it?" She sat on the sofa.

"Stop bothering the Dela Fuente. Whatever your problem with me, exclude them. They didn't know anything about it. Let me suffer alone, don't include. Please," I pleaded. I saw how the grin formed on his lips.

"You know what I want, Aliyah. You knew it in the first place," she said.

I nodded. "Yes, and I already did it. Before I go here, I ended what's between me and Henry. I promise not to go near to him again. I will not entertain him; I will ignore him. Don't worry, I will do all of that, I promise. Just stop what you are planning to do with the Dela Fuente, they don't know anything. Spare them, please." I am almost kneeling in front of her. I don't want to do it, but if this can help to convince her, then I will do it.

"Promise me that you will not engage yourself to Henry, anymore." She was serious now.

I nodded. "Yes, I promise. I will do everything to avoid him. In the first place, I truly believe that you and Henry are really for each other. Please."

She breathes. "Okay, if you broke your promise, you know what will happen. Don't try, Aliyah because you will never enjoy the price."

Then, I remembered my second agenda here. To warn her about the mistake she is about to do. I stood up and sat beside her. I looked at her, eye to eye.

"I just want you to do me a favor, it is for you and your family. Don't you ever think of killing someone, don't let anger eats you. Do you understand me?" I held her shoulders.

She pushed me. "What made you think that I can kill a person? I am more educated than you. I will never let my name and my family be dirty as you."

I ignored her insults. "Just make sure you will never kill someone," I said.

And if you will, I will make sure suffer in your late life. You can never escape, Sonia.

"Of course, leave now." She was freaked out of me. She may now think that I am weird and insane. What more if I say that I am from the future.

When I am almost at Dela Fuente's mansion, I saw Cristel running toward me, I was surprised and stopped walking. She hugged me when she reached me.

"I thought you leave me, permanently. What took you so long? It's almost midnight, Papa and Mama are worried too." She hugged me tightly.

I sighed and hugged her back. "I will never leave like that. I will say goodbye first before I leave." Forever...

She smiled. "Okay, your dinner is on the table. Papa and Mama are asleep already. I am very sure you are hungry now." She pulled me inside the mansion.

I bitterly smile while she was excited to prepare my food. I don't know but every day, every hour and minute that I am staying here, it gets harder and harder for me to leave. I feel like they are playing a big part in my life that I cannot just turn my back on them. I am a nurse in my time, but I feel like I was living the life that society wants me to be with.

I laughed at myself. Just a moment later, I was blaming God for putting me here but now, I don't want Him to send me back. I want to be here more.

"Cristel," I called her. She was preparing to sleep. It's midnight already.

"Why? Do you need anything?" She smiled.

I entered her room then locked the doors. I signaled her to seat on her bed. She obeyed me; confusion is evident on her face. I sat beside her.

"I want to tell you something but promise me first that you won't tell anyone about it. I trust you," I said.

"I promise, you are making me nervous, Aliyah." She laughed.

I am nervous, too. I don't know how I will explain this to her. I don't know too if she will believe me.

"Cristel, does it make you think that whatever you are asking me about my recent life or my family, I sometimes not sure what I was talking about?" I started.

She nodded. "Y-Yes, and it made me think and feel that you are hiding something that you don't want to talk about. But I respect that."

I sighed. "I am truly hiding something. Something unbelievable, something that it was so hard to explain." I gave her the diary.

She looked at me with confusion but then, she flipped the pages. She read the text written thoroughly. I heard her gasped after reading some of it.

"Aliyah, tell me you are kidding," she said when she got what's the secret I want to tell her.

"I'm not. I know, it is hard to believe. I, too, didn't believe it at first but when the moment I woke up in this place, in this time, I proved it." I bit my lower lip.

She continues reading the diary.

"You are from the future that's why you keep saying that you will one day. I understand now why you cannot be with Henry." She looked at me with those teary eyes.

"Thank you for believing," I said then hugged her.

She hugged me back and tapped my shoulder. "Tell me when you are feeling that you are about to go. But please, not too soon." She cried on my shoulder.
