"So you're engaged" his hand was in his pocket his eyes never left hers.

She already told them, just him and Carla as Cam already knew about her engagement. They continue to chat more catching up for the last 2 years life update. Suddenly Carla has to use the rest room while Cameron was upstairs tugging Clyde in to bed.

Cameron was right when he says the Dante she knew before no longer there. He was all changed he look tired and restless. On top of that he seems to be cold as if the darkness has won him over completely. Her wolf starts to whimper at his side scolding her that their mate is hurt.

She ignores her wolf while holding his gaze "yeah and you?" he rubs the back of his head "guess we both are."

She couldn't tell whether he was nervous or not.

"Yeah I guess we are" she repeated his words.

"Is he treating you well?" Daniella furrow her brow "much better than someone I know of" she defensively retorted. "I was just asking" he raise up his hand in defense. "Whatever, I guess everything has change except for your jerk like attitude" she mumbles as she walk past him. Dante held her hand back igniting the sparks between them. Daniella felt her breath hitch, she seriously want to turn around forget everything and pounce on him. She saw his eyes constantly changing as if his wolf was about to come out.

"Dante" Carla came from the bathroom and Daniella wonders what took her so long. Dante immediately let go of her hand and both of them trying to calm down.

"Hey I'm sorry but can we go home now" she held on to his elbow "what's wrong?" he pulls her close kissing her on the lips as if Daniella wasn't even there.

"Something came up at home, Allen needs me to be home now"

"can't it wait" she giggle in his arms. "Nope but we'll have ours during the ride back" this made Daniella cough out loudly sounded more like a growl.

"We're sorry for our behaviour but can you please let Cameron know that we're leaving. I'm really sorry but it's urgent at home"

"it's alright I'll let him know then" she half smile hiding a little bit of rage thar starts to boil within her from what she just witness. She bid their guest goodbye before going up upstairs to check on Cameron and Clyde who already fell asleep on the bed. She pull up a blanket to cover them both then turn off the lights.

Daniella change in to her pajamas before jumping on her bed. She felt like she's been watch again, the same feeling she got the night when she was fire from her first job. As much as she wanted to confirm her anxiety but her eyes were too hard to be open again, drifting her off to sleep.

The loud ringtone of her phone awaken her, lazily she grabs it from the night stand and answer it.

"Hello" she yawn "Daniella" the annoying voice made her want up throw her phone how could she forget her voice. The great aunt of Kiev or should she say the evil aunt in law. "I want you to meet me at Charlie's Pastry," she rushed her words without giving any chance to Daniella to speak or see if she was available or not.

"Don't wear heels as we have a lot to do today and don't forget to be here on time. I'll be waiting" she ended in a high note as if she's singing a song. Daniella threw her phone across when Evelyn cut off the line. 'How rude' she quickly took a shower and change then head down to find Cameron, Judy and Clyde.

She skip over kissing Clyde on the forehead "Morning" she beams. "Morning" both Cameron and Judy replies to her. She borrowed Cameron's car keys and explained where she was going and Cameron's face was enough to know that he was still disappointed with her decisions. Then she head out to meet the evil aunt in law who was probably dissing her at the pastry.

"Finally you arrived, it almost took you forever"

"well I'm here now"

Evelyn roll her eyes before going around inside the pastry pointing from here to there as if she owns it. Daniella saw the looks on the employees faces eyeing her skeptically and she tries to avoid it following Evelyn who tastes the cake sample and had that gross look on her face then she snap her finger to another one.

The whole week with her was tortuous and she only see little of Kiev around. It's like she was going to married his aunty instead of him. The attitude his aunty has was nerve wrecking and Daniella tries to be patience even though Hani her wolf almost on the brink of breaking her bones.

When everything was settled and organised she was finally going to get a good sleep on her bed. Yet when she thought on Evelyn telling her that the invitation went out today she groan with frustration even more. Then suddenly she remembered she has to talk to Dante before the invitation got there.

She abruptly jump up from her bed biting on her nails contemplating whether to call him or not. When she was sure she run to ask Cameron for his number before dialling it down. He answer after one ringtone

"Alpha Dante speaking" his voice never fails to clenched her insides and send shivers to her body.

"Dante, can we talk please"
