After Theo and Luke had buried Veronica's body later that night, I stood in the front on porch, staring at the moon. I couldn't help but feel uneasy about everything that has been happening. Theo had brought the mirror of mirrors home but we were taking a huge risk as it was. Theo could loose his soul--A soul which he possesses because he's half human. A shudder ran through me when I imagined the possibilities of Theo becoming soulless. He'll become an empty shell. Would he still love me even then? Would he forget me? Technically, I was his soulmate. What will become of us when his soul is lost? My heart gave a painful jolt when I imagined Theo with black soulless eyes. I can't let that happen to him; to us. We'll find a way. We have to.Strong arms circled my waist from behind me and I closed my eyes relaxing into his hold. "What's on your mind?" Theo asked."You, Us" I sighed."Things doesn't look too good for us, does it?" He said and I inhaled shakily."I wish things were different. I wish we didn't have to go through all these troubles" I said. "Me too, my love" he said, caressing my hair ever so gently. I slowly turned to face him, my hand resting on his sculptured chest. I could feel his heartbeat and somehow, it was comforting."I wish I could hide you from pain and keep you safe with me forever. Theo, you don't deserve every anguish you've gone through. And it makes my heart ache"

I looked into his golden eyes, my fingers brushing the circles under his eyes. He kissed my forehead. "The blood moon is in three days. And, I just want you to know that whatever happens, I'll always love you" he whispered.Tears filled my eyes."Theo, I won't let you become soulless. I can be your anchor" I said.He smiled, tears filling his eyes as he caressed my cheek. "You have always been my anchor, love. I've made several enquiries about the mirror of mirrors. It has strong dark magic, Dev. I won't forgive myself if you end up loosing your soul too" he said."But-"

"Devon, I love you so much and I can't bear to be responsible for you loosing your soul. I can't do that to you. When I call on the twin moons, I'm going to be doing it on my own" he said, his voice trembling.Tears crawled down my cheeks as I stared at him."I love you" I whispered, wiping away the tears on his face with my thumb. He kissed me passionately, tears still on his face. I wove my arms around his neck and kissed him just as passionately. We pulled apart for air, then he rested his forehead against mine. "You are the best thing that has ever happened to me" he rasped and once again, I felt my heart break into a million pieces. "After all this is over, I'll marry you the mundane way" he said and I grinned."Well, I can't wait"

"You should get some sleep, Dev. You look exhausted" he said and I nodded."Lay down with me?" I said and he took my hand and led me into his room. I entered the bathroom and splashed cool water on my face. Taking a deep breath, I loosened my hair. Tonight might be the last time Theo and I would be normal. I stepped out of the bathroom. Theo was standing by the window, his back facing me. I took off my robe and walked towards him. Quietly, I placed a hand on the small of his back. "I want you tonight" I whispered.He slowly turned to look at me, the moonlight reflecting on his beautiful face. His eyes were glowing brighter than usual. When he spoke, his voice came out in a low rasp. "Are you sure about this?" He asked."I'm sure" I said and he moved away from the window."Are you just doing this because-"

"I'm not doing this for anything else. I'm doing this for us. I love you and I've waited for this moment. I need you" I whispered, cupping the side of his face.He sighed when I leaned closer and kissed him slowly. His arms circled my waist and pulled me closer to him as his lips devoured mine.I moaned into our kiss and he groaned thickly. He lifted me into his arms, my legs wrapped around his waist. I closed my eyes, savouring every moment. We crashed together. We were both burning, shooting over the edge as we sank into each other. It was bliss.

Warm and sated. It was how I felt when I awoke the next morning in Theo's arms. I opened my eyes, my gaze resting on Theo's sleeping form. His eyes were closed, lips parted slightly. I noticed the hickeys on his neck and felt my face flush. Last night was simply amazing. Breathtaking even. A slow smile stretched my lips as I thought about it. Damn, Theo was good. Like really good. I leaned forward and brushed his hair away from his face. He stirred, his long eyelashes fluttering. I kissed his cheek and he smiled, his eyes fluttering open. "Morning, beautiful" he said and I grinned."Morning, gorgeous" I said.He kissed my forehead and let out a long sigh. There was a knock on the door and Theo immediately covered me with the blanket to my neckline. "I'm coming in!" Luke said and Theo rolled his eyes. The door opened.Luke walked in with a brow raised. "What have you two been up to? Your auras are merging" He said, wriggling his brows. Theo glared at Luke and launched a pillow at him. "You guys should get dressed and come to the sitting room. There's something you need to know" Luke said and started to head out of the room, winking at me.I got out of bed, brushed my teeth and showered with Theo. I got dressed in a pair of blue jeans and a black blouse. I went to the kitchen and prepared breakfast. "Morning, Dev" Liam said, winking at me and I blushed."Why are you winking at me?" I said. Luke and Liam laughed."We can smell him all over you, Dev" Liam said, smirking. I lowered my gaze, my hair hiding my face from view. I quietly dug into my omelette, my cheeks flushed.Theo joined us at the dinning table, shortly. His hair was in a ponytail and he was wearing black T-shirt and a pair of jeans. "So, when do we get to attend your wedding?" Liam asked Theo who rolled his eyes and started to eat. When we were done with breakfast, we went to the sitting room. "Karla called last night" Luke began."She told me that Amyra was in her head last night"I raised a brow."Please tell me Karla's alright" I said.Luke sighed."She's fine but quite shaken up. But, I'm afraid the damage has been done already" he said."What damage?" Theo asked."Yeah, what damage?" Liam asked. "Amyra forced Karla to go back in time to the day the first twin moons were called. There's a sword that can destroy the locket. It's called the sword of souls. Amyra has it now. She's going to use the sword to stop you from calling the twin moons, Theo" I exchanged bewildered glances with Theo. A soul sword. How was that even possible? I rubbed my forehead pensively. The sword was in the wrong hands. There's no telling what else Amyra plans to do with the soul sword. "Unfortunately that isn't all" Theo exhaled slowly."Spill" he said."We know Karla is a wanderer but at the moment, Amyra has another wanderer with her. He's doing her bidding because she's controlling him"I frowned. Another wanderer?"Do we know this person?" I asked.Luke's wary gaze met mine and I stiffened, knowing that his reply wouldn't be good."Your brother, Devon. Amyra is controlling Allen to do her bidding" My eyes widened and I let out a strained gasp. My brother?

Oh my God, she's going to kill him. "We have to get him away from that bitch. She's going to kill him!" I cried."That's only half of the problem, Devon. Switch on the TV" Luke said.I frowned and rose to my feet. I switched on the TV and turned to stare at Luke."According to the news, what's today's date?" He asked. I wanted to call him silly for talking about such thing but, I couldn't. Anything was possible.I'd learned that the hard way. I focused on the news, my heart sinking when I saw the date. 20th of April.

Only yesterday, the date had been 17th of April. Three days had been skipped just like that and it was no coincidence. Today was the blood moon. Amyra had figured out a way to use my brother to her advantage. Theo was pacing back and forth, his muscles tensed. Luke rose to his feet and let out a long sigh."Tonight we either win or we die" he said and my blood ran cold.
