Chapter 130: Chapter 130
JONEA
It seemed like Luke noticed something off about my body. He grinned widely and tossed Hunter to the ground like a rag doll. Then, in a swift move, he picked me up and laid me down on the marble altar.
Why? What’s happening to me? My chest felt tight, my whole body burning. I was so thirsty—desperately craving someone’s touch, someone to soothe me.
Without realizing it, I started moaning and gasping at the same time. Luke gently lowered me onto the altar, then climbed over me with a calculated ease.
“Union,” he whispered. “You’re breaking the seal. And when the crimson moon reaches its peak, your pure blood will be mine!”
I couldn’t control my body or my thoughts anymore. Pain surged through me as I let out a scream. My eyes flew open, my head tilting back to stare at the dome’s opening. The full crimson moon stared back.
“Ahhh!” I cried out as sharp fangs pushed out of my mouth, piercing my lips.
Luke leaned closer, his eyes glowing bright red—the eyes of a dragon. He kissed me, or rather, sucked the blood from my lips.
“Ahh... Jonea... your blood is so sweet.”
The pain was unbearable. Suddenly, the weight of Luke’s body vanished. Something lunged from the side and sent Luke crashing into the wall.
“Found you,” Aland murmured as he pulled me off the altar, holding me tightly while wrapping me in his coat.
When I looked into his eyes, I felt like I could finally rest. Relief washed over me as I saw him. But out of the corner of my eye, I caught sight of Luke Draken being attacked by a massive black lycan. Daran?
Behind them, figures I never expected to see appeared—Owen and Miller.
“We’re not leaving you alone, Jonea,” Owen said, pointing his sword at Luke.
Daran growled, his eyes blazing red. “We’ll end this together.” He unleashed his shadow magic, striking Luke.
Tears threatened to spill from my eyes, but I nodded weakly in Aland’s arms.
“Together,” I whispered before everything went black.

ALAND
I didn’t care about the chaos and battle around me. My focus was solely on Jonea. Something was wrong with her body. I clenched my fists tightly. I was too late.
When I turned my sharp gaze to Luke, he laughed mockingly. “Ha... my precious nephew, you’re late! That girl is already mine.”
Daran and the others froze. “What?” Daran hissed, glaring at me for confirmation.
“I’m sorry, King of the Lycans, but I need to take Jonea away immediately to purify her. I hope it’s not too late!”
But Luke laughed triumphantly. That bastard! The thing I hated most was the dragon blood coursing through me. I wasn’t fully werewolf but part dragon. Unfortunately, I inherited this from my mother—the woman I loved most in the world. And my mother was Luke Draken’s sister.
I carried Jonea’s unconscious body, preparing to fly away with my dragon.
“You don’t understand... what it’s like to live in isolation!” Luke roared as I tried to leave with Jonea. He unleashed his fire, aiming it at us.
“What the hell?” Miller muttered. “It was almost over.”
“Hey, the rest is up to you guys!” I shouted to Miller and the others before flying away with Jonea.
The battle raged fiercely, but this time, we had hope. Together, we broke Luke’s dominance.

“Jonea,” I whispered as I carried her. She tugged at my shirt, stopping me.
“Jonea?”
“Put me down.”
“But, Jonea...”
“There’s something I need to do!”
Barefoot and clad only in my coat, she returned to the battlefield. Daran was stunned to see her back. She gave him a brief glance before chasing after Luke Draken, who was fleeing with the help of his dragons.

MILLER
“Hey, why are you just standing there?” I snapped at Daran, watching him let Jonea go after Luke Draken.
Owen, still in his black wolf form, immediately followed Jonea without hesitation. Owen was Jonea’s loyal guardian. He would always be her shadow—that was his duty. But would Daran give up so easily?
“Why are you just standing there, you idiot? Go after her!” Hunter growled, struggling to stand despite his injuries while battling the dragon forces. “Are you going to lose her now that she’s so close?”
Realizing his mistake, Daran quickly pursued Jonea using his shadow magic.
Now it was just me, Arabel, Eve, and Hunter left to fend off the irritating dragon army.
“Hey, young lady, lend me your magic!” Eve demanded from Arabel.
Arabel hesitated. Without waiting, Eve performed a move, combining her fire magic with Arabel’s, and launched an attack at the dragons.

I ran, panting, but couldn’t catch up to Luke Draken. He was too fast. Yet I had to reclaim what he had taken from me. If not, I’d be bound to him forever.
As I ran with Owen beside me, a powerful gust of wind suddenly rushed past.
“Aland?”
He appeared in his blue dragon form, flying low and motioning for me to climb onto his back. With Owen’s help, we leaped onto Aland, soaring together to pursue Luke Draken.
I felt another presence. “Daran, you’re here?”
"Hmm!" Daran replied, his voice carried by the wind. He really was an incredible wizard. But I failed to keep my promise to give him my sacred blood. And now, the red full moon was about to end.
"I need your help, but you have to keep your promise to me!"
"Promise?" Daran, Owen, and Aland echoed together.
We landed on a steep cliff surrounded by thick mist. The place was dark and freezing cold. I could feel layers of magic shrouding it. This must be the red dragon's lair.
*
My footsteps echoed through the cold, dark cave tunnel. Jagged rocks hung overhead like the teeth of a giant beast ready to devour me at any moment. I knew I shouldn't be here, but I had no choice. Luke had taken something precious to me—the dragon’s tear pendant, which held the memories of the people I loved.
I paused, trying to steady my breath. The faint scent of blood lingered in the air, making my body tense. Luke was inside, waiting for me. He was injured, but that didn’t make me feel any safer. Even wounded, Luke was far more dangerous than any creature I had ever encountered.
"Jonea..."
The voice echoed in the corridor, deep and mocking. I stepped forward, and there he was, standing in the center of a massive cavern. His body was covered in wounds, but his eyes still blazed with power and arrogance.
"My fierce woman," he said with a slight smirk. "You actually came alone. How brave of you to offer yourself to me."
"I didn’t come to surrender myself," I replied, my voice trembling with anger. "I came to take back the pendant."
Luke chuckled softly, his laugh sparking fury within me. "This pendant?" He held it up in his hand. Its blue glow reflected on the cave walls, dancing like firelight.
"Why did you kill my parents?" I asked, struggling to contain the boiling rage inside me. "And Aland’s parents too? Wasn’t his mother your sister?"
Luke’s expression turned cold. "Because I don’t need weaklings ruining my plans!" he shouted, his voice reverberating through the cave. "They were just burdens. The Rawlings and the Hamiltons—traitors. And now, in front of your eyes, I will destroy them too—King Lycan and the Blue Dragon King—so you can truly be mine."
"I won’t let that happen!"
Luke smiled triumphantly. "There’s nothing you can do, Jonea. Now watch this."
He raised the pendant higher as if preparing to destroy it. I knew if the pendant shattered, all my memories before today would vanish. I’d become Luke’s puppet, a slave who loved him unconditionally.
Something stirred within me, something long hidden. The seal that had bound my true self broke at last. My body burned, pain coursing through me as I transformed.
Red fur enveloped my body, and majestic dragon wings unfurled from my back. I knew this was my true form—a red werewolf with dragon wings. With a roar of fury, I lunged at Luke, trying to snatch the pendant.
But he was too fast. With one swift motion, he deflected my attack and slammed me to the ground.
"So weak, even in your true form," he taunted.
I tried to rise, but my body felt too fragile. This premature transformation was draining me.
Suddenly, a figure leaped between Luke and me. It was Owen.
"Jonea, don’t worry!" he shouted.
Before I could stop him, Luke attacked. His claws pierced Owen’s abdomen, blood spilling onto the cave floor.
"No!" I screamed in despair, dragging my body toward him.
Owen gave me a weak smile. "You have to keep fighting, Jonea... You’re stronger than this..."
His body collapsed in front of me, shattering my heart.
Before Luke could strike again, two figures emerged from the shadows of the cave.
Daran, in his black lycan form, and Aland, his body glowing blue like a true blue dragon.
"We won’t let you finish this, Luke," Aland declared firmly.
Luke scoffed. "Oh, so you came to die with her? Perfect."
Daran and Aland exchanged glances. Without a word, they combined their powers. A massive burst of light filled the cavern, forming a magical entity of immense power—a fusion of blue dragon energy and lycan darkness.
What followed was a battle unlike anything I’d ever seen. Luke fought with everything he had, but he was slowly overwhelmed.
His dragon wings burned, his body staggered, blood spilling from his mouth as he fell to the ground.
Daran approached the barely-moving Luke and snatched the dragon’s tear pendant from his hand. Then, he knelt in front of me.
"This belongs to you," he said softly, his voice filled with emotion.
I took it with trembling hands. As I touched the pendant, lost memories flooded back into my mind. My parents, my friends, Aland, Daran, Owen—everyone who mattered to me returned.
Before I could say anything, Daran stood up.
"Our contract is over, Jonea," he said, avoiding my gaze.
"Daran, wait!" I tried to stop him.
He shook his head and turned away, carrying Owen’s wounded body with him. They vanished into the night’s darkness, leaving me with a deep sense of loss.
Aland approached, wrapping me in his arms to comfort me. "This was his vow to you... and mine too."
I shook my head. "This isn’t what I wanted. You... you tricked me!" I cried in Aland’s embrace, feeling both relief and devastation.
"Jonea," he said gently, "it’s time for us to lead the Sapphire Blue. Or... if you want, we can build a new place, together."
I looked into his eyes, seeing love and hope in them. For the first time in a long while, I felt like I had a choice.
That night, under the fading red moonlight, I felt free. And I knew I wasn’t alone.
