Chapter 26: Chapter 26

Quite a tiring journey, I thought. I got out of the car while Jazzlin quickly pushed her door to open. The other cars arrived right behind us, I walked over to Ronald who had just got out of his car.

"Young Master." He greeted me before opening the car door for his girlfriend for freaking five years. Incredibly enough, those five years were not a fast one. There would definitely be twists and turns in the relationship, but they never seemed to fight.

I could never commit to a relationship. The fear of losing the person I love had always controlled me. Sooner or later people would leave me, just like my mother.

"I was being told that Jake was treated in room 202." Ronald told me so I just nodded back in response.

My arms felt cramped after driving for so long. I'd never been driving that long, because my driver would always drove me to places that were quite far away.

"I'm gonna kill her!"

The voice of an angel was raging like a melody in my ears. My eyes had their own way, looking for her figure.

Jazzlin Ozza, a woman who had always caught my attention. Wherever she went, my eyes could never stop looking for her until she got into my arms again.

She was there, leaning against the door of the car in rage. Her cute face twitched with a swirling emotion over something.

I grinned every time I saw her face. She gave a different expression every time, but never failed to make me more adore her.

"Be patient." Elsa commented. I'd known Elsa for quite a while, and she was not good at making friends. Somehow I entrusted her to be Jazzlin's maid.

"Patient my ass!" Her tiny hands began to clench into fists, holding back her emotions.

"It could be seen she hates Moorah more than our hatred towards Haytham." Ronald said from behind. He was trying to be funny, huh.

I never knew what happened between Moorah and her. They had never got along as much as I knew. And, Moorah was not a woman who could be fooled so easily. Since yesterday, I tried to find out what she was like.

My mother had said that I shouldn't judge people by their cover, so I tried to find out their true character.

I should admit, she was really good at cooking, but still not as good as the fried rice made by Jazzlin. For the first time after years, Jazzlin made fried rice for me, and the taste was truly amazing. I didn't expect it.

"Seems like you have to go there before the third world war occurs." Ronald chuckled before meeting my other men.

My eyes fixed on the windshield, and found Moorah was still asleep. I walked over and opened the car door. A strong wind blew in, making Moorah's hair cover half of her face.

"Have we arrived?" She asked, pulling her hair aside. Her makeup was messy with drooling. I honestly wanted to laugh at that time.

"Yeah." I just said it as I started to jerking my feet in rhythm waiting for her to come out.

Her cheeks were flushed under my gaze, so I turned my gaze to my principessa. Her adorable face looked so annoyed. She was not aware of my gaze as she was watching Moorah's movement.

I followed her gaze and stopped right on Moorah, who was busy checking on her makeup.

"I'll go up first." My eyes immediately turned to her calmest dark blue eyes. Just like her eyes turned to me. I had a hard time thinking straight whenever our eyes locked. If only she knew how adorable she was...

Her acting was clear that she got jealous. My lips lifted one side at the thought of her getting jealous when I was just trying to be friendly to Moorah. She was nothing to me.

She walked hastily. Her shining hair flying away. Her curves looked so tempting the moment she walked her back to me. Just looking at her made my eyes stare with lust. I imagined my hands touching each of her sexy curves.

My body was hypnotized, I unconsciously closed the car door and ran slowly after her.

"Looks like you got lost." I said as I got close to her.

"Holy cats!" Her face twitched, she almost fell but she was managed to support her legs from the fall. She was so clumsy, she almost fell over a lot, "Why are you here?! Aren't you busy with your lover?"

Did she just say lover? She misunderstood. I never liked Moorah at all, I only respected her as a woman. That was all, but I didn't tell her, seeing her jealous really made me even more curious about her feelings for me.

I trapped my hands into my pants pockets, while the hospital cooler made them feel cold, "Do you know which room Jake's in?"

Her mouth opened, realizing what I just asked, she really had no idea which room Jake was taking care of.

The others caught up with us. She listened attentively to Ronald's explanation while I was busy watching her face, admiring her every move. The way her forehead frowned and her plump lips occasionally opened as if affirming whatever Ronald said then her head nodded slowly.

She was like the endless water I never stop needing and a fire that burning my heart's passion whenever I saw her.

I'd never been honest with my own feelings even though I knew how important she was for me.

All I knew was I really didn't deserve her.

Her soft dark blue eyes darted around, and they stopped right on the open lift door. Her thoughts were easy for me to guess. Before she launched the action from her head, my hands moved straight to hold her back.

Ronald chuckled, "We didn't need to jostle with other lift users. We took a special lift."

I let go of my grip and she looked back at me, her eyes shot into my eyes after hearing Ronald's words. I should've told her, but my bad, I forgot. So, I shrugged innocently.

I looked around, all the medical workers were working properly according to their oath. All patients were treated promptly. My father would be glad to know about this.

In the lift, I noticed Ronald. He was busy with his phone, until his face was looking for someone, but stopped right at me. There was a new information.

I nodded in understanding.

I had calculated that when we got there, it was impossible for all of us to be allowed into the room, so I took this opportunity to listen about the information from Ronald.

"Say it." I spoke when we got to the end of the quiet hallway.

"It's about Mr. Salvatore." Ronald looked nervous when he said his name.

That asshole. Huh, I was quite tired of dealing with him. My father introduced me to him at the beginning I held my position. It was not uncommon for me to meet someone like him. He was a money-hunger.

During those time, he used his daughter, Niki, to cover up his dark business. Niki's name was shining through in the modeling world, and she was also one of the biggest contributors to every charity event. This was her father's idea to cover up his family's ugliness.

Yeah, he was involved in human trafficking.

So, I made a pact with him when we wanted to enter a business relationship. The pact was that he had to get out of his dark world of business.

He agreed. With all things I was helping him develop his business again that was racing in the field of consumption. Sales of his chocolates shot up until they were dubbed as the most expensive chocolates in existence.

Sure enough, Haytham offered him something.

"He sent his men to spy on you, then informed Haytham about Alia's whereabouts." Ronald hissed.

So, he was behind yesterday's attack, huh? Hm, interesting.

"He's working with the Sanders family now."

I sighed. Betrayal was usually happened to me, but this time the problem was different. Haytham was always on my way. He tried everything he could to knock me down.

After he managed to put himself in second place, he turned to attack me. It was not just a business issue, but a physical one. I knew he joined a mafia against me. Trust me, it was not that easy to knock me down.

He was a prick for using Jazzlin as bait to hurt me.

I gritted my teeth, imagining what else he would do. Hurting Jazzlin and the people I care about would be a nightmare for him. I swore.

"Fuck, Jake even got seriously injured because of this traitor." Ronald said coldly.

"I don't care anymore, do whatever it takes to destroy his business world." I replied dangerously, "You know what you have to do."

Ronald nodded, "One more thing, regarding the letter of agreement between your father and Mr. Jeremy ... I haven't got the info yet."

I nodded silently.

Those agreement was still a puzzle that had been difficult for me to know for a long time. I could've asked my father, but I was not sure if he still remembered. Surely the agreement was so important, the letter was hidden in a special place when I stumbled across it.

"And there's the latest news ... it's about Jazzlin." Mentioning her name, immediately my eyes shot towards Ronald.

"Someone is blackmailing us using her." Ronald's voice shook unsteadily.
