Chapter 22: Chapter 22

As soon as I opened my eyes, morning had greeted me. I think I was exhausted yesterday because I slept so well, or because I cried too much.

Rubbing my eyes, my attention was diverted to the man who was still sleeping on the sofa. Instantly my memory returned to yesterday's scene.

"I desperately wanna take you there." I gasped knowing what he meant. All I thought about was dirty things he would do.

His voice was a little hoarse and heavy making my voice get stuck in my throat.

"But ..." He put his fingers right on my lips. "Now's not a right time. You're not ready for it." I brake for a moment he gently stroked my lips. His face was getting closer, I could feel his warm breath on my face. However, what I'd been waiting for never came.

"Go to sleep." He left me wanting more. Besides knowing how to get me piss off, he was also really good at making me want him even more.

I groaned in a little disappointment. He smiled proudly, managed to make me messed up.

I shook my head, remembering yesterday's incident. He didn't move the slightest, looked like a sleeping angel. I got off the bed towards him.

I looked at him before my finger gently touched his forehead to the tip of his nose then a hand caught them making me gasp.

His eyes still closed but, his lips tucked in showing his neatly arranged white teeth. "Take a picture, it'll last longer." He muttered just to make me realize that he was awake.

That's right, his clothes had changed. He even took a shower! Why didn't I notice?

"Cat got your tongue?" He chuckled.

I was embarrassed so I threw his face with the pillow next to him. I turned my body to run away for a moment he swiftly pulled my hand back. My body fell in a sitting position on his lap.

"Where do you think you're going? I'm not done yet." I was shaking as his lips landed on my skin. His hands were wrapped around my waist, holding me back from going anywhere. "You smell so good." He whispered between my shuddering skin.

"Good morning, my sister." Very nice! This beautiful-faced devil came at the wrong time. Without knocking or calling first, she immediately shook her feet into my room.

Shocked, I jumped up and took Barra's hands away from me.

"Oh, sorry. I didn't-" I put my hands up, "It's okay, what's wrong?" Slowly I nibbled my bottom lip as Barra laughed softly.

"Here I made you breakfast." She brought a plate of cookies. I swear I didn't mean to slander or anything, but I suspected that she might be pouring poison on it.

"Thanks." I took it just to make her attention shifted to the man who was sitting behind me.

"Hey, Barra. Give it a try, I made it for you too." She pulled back the plate that I was holding then approached Barra.

What a twat! I hated this woman so freaking much.

"Thank you." With a frustrated face I looked back just as Barra tasted it. All right, I didn't think she put poison on Barra.

"Is it good?" She gave off her demonic alluring smile. I couldn't help but asking myself, why do bad women always have pretty looks?

He hummed, "You'll know my rating when the irritated-woman over there gives her rating."

I smiled with satisfaction when Moorah's face fell, it had a look like Barra's answer didn't match her expectation. She walked back towards me again and then let me take one of the cookies, but I wasn't that stupid.

"I'm on my diet, not eating sweets like this."

She looked like she was about to explode like a bomb out of emotion, but she was a cunning girl and too good at covering up her emotions.

Turning her gaze to Barra, "You see? She doesn't even want to taste it." She sounded like ... whining. What the hell!

"Sorry, then I can't give them my rating." He smirked towards me.

Moorah looked uncomfortable with the situation she was in. I was sure she realized I was shouting my victory in my deepest heart.

"Oh yeah I forgot!" Typical of Moorah, she always had other ideas even when she was cornered, "Earlier, your man came here. What's his name?" She thought before naming a few names. "Ronald, and a woman, Elsa."

My eyes glow at the mention of Elsa's name, "Let's meet them." I told Barra as he nodded in unison.

I ignored Moorah. All I had in mind was Elsa. So glad she was finally back. After what had happened I was hoping she would be in her better state.

They were already sitting in the living room. Elsa's smile couldn't bear seeing me running towards her. She looked even more pretty, her aura was emitted, and most importantly she was fine.

Ronald also greeted Barra, making me I thinking about Jake's condition.

"I've got the information. Alia's kidnapper is none other than Haytham's men." Barra seemed to be digesting the information he just got, before his gaze sharpened with embers.

The information stopped myself from worrying, at least Alia was in the right hand. Not like what I assumed.

"Come with me." Barra ordered then walked towards outside the room. Ronald only nodded and then mouthing Elsa that he came out for a moment.

Elsa told me that she was finally get rid of the trauma. It wasn't an easy journey for her, but having Ronald by her side all the time made her bounce back and believe that she was still valuable in the eyes of the right people.

"That's so sweet." I was smiling as she got blushy.

"Yeah, he's just... perfect in every way." She claimed. "So? You and Barra?" She giggled.

"What? No!" I almost yelped.

"What a lie. Before Mr. Sumedh left, he said that you and Barra were sleeping in that room." She pointed to the hallway where my room was, "What I thought was right that you two in the same room and doing nasty things." She said that like it wasn't a big deal, but it was for me!

I covered my face in embarrassment, "It's not what you think!"

She raised her brows up and down, "Spill the tea!" She was acting bossy.

I was getting tired just to get this woman believe me, "There's nothing I can spill! We really didn't do anything." I groaned.

"Don't tell me you're irritating because you didn't get what your lust wants?" I glared at her as she kept giggling.

"Or because he-" I was trying to cover her mouth from naughty words she was ready to spat out.

We stopped joking around when Barra and Ronald returned. "What are you two doing?" Ronald and Barra's faces stared at us strangely.

Anyone would ask the same question when my position was above Elsa and she was under me, between my thighs and had difficulty breathing.

"Nothing." We answered in the same tone, making us shut up for a minute before finally roaring with laughter at the same time as well.

"Weirdos." Barra smirked at Ronald's comment.

"But you love me." Elsa confidently answered back for his statement.

Love. One word I was waiting to came out from the man's mouth who was now looking at me. I never thought of love. But, mentioning about it now I kept thinking about it.

Barra, himself said that he didn't want to have children, especially the thought of marriage was too far from his mind.

"I do." He rolled his eyes, "Remind me again why I fall in love with her in the first place."

"Because you found me attractive, pretty, and hot." Elsa replied his 'not a question' but a satire.

This couple kept on making me envy their sweet reactions to each other. Elsa could blush only remembering Ronald, and Ronald, he could never take his gaze away from Elsa's figure.

"Barra has agreed to visit Jake, do you guys want to come or stay here?" Ronald's question made us immediately rise from our first position.

"I'm coming with you guys." I answered without having second thoughts. Elsa just nodded.

"Alright then." Ronald nodded, "Get ready."

"I'll take shower first." I said before rushing back to my room, "Wait for me." I shouted.

I really couldn't wait to meet again with Jake. He was a funny and friendly man, but also annoying at times. Still, he was a good man.

I felt bad because when he got hurt I was acted like I didn't care. Trust me I really did care for him, but Alia got kidnapped and I was screwed up. Panic overtook me and only Alia's shadow controlled my mind.

I was imagining what had happened in Niki's engagement party. Jake was there with alacrity helping me when I was near Haytham. And how brave he was to challenge Haytham.

He really sounded dangerous even though his true-self didn't like that. Every time he gathered with us all, he was the funny one despite his quiet attitude.

I opened my room door when I heard vaguely.

Moorah was on a phone call.

"Yes mom, enjoy your vacation. Dad is fine with me here." Her sincere smile was different from the one she usually used, "He went out with Mr. Sumedh. I think they want to spend their time together just like when they were young."

Dad... I wish I could call him that too.
