Chapter 84: Chapter 84

Cecilia let out a heavy sigh after she drank a glass of cold calamansi juice. It's look as same as the orange juice.

It tasted like combination of lemonade-limeade hybrid, but more tropical and aromatic. A perfect refreshment in hot weather or for wrath of man.

"Are you okay, Miss Lancia?" The Holy Priest smiling gently. He is the one who didn't drink it. "You shouldn't direct your anger to things around you."

"Yes, I understand." She nodded and keep her head as low as she can. "Please do forgive my rudeness."

"It's okay. As long as you regret it."

No one responded this time because everyone, except the priest, looks gloomy.

"Why did everyone seem dissatisfied? Should we reconnect to the other side of the world?"

Max shook his head. "I have already seen more than I need."

Duke Lancia silently staring at his empty glass.

Meanwhile, Cecilia trying to calm herself by breathing more slowly.

"Then, we should move into a next discussion about dragon's blessing. Your Highness acclaimed that Miss Lancia is the one who he destined to be with. Actually, there is one way to prove it. Please hold my hand again, Your Highness and you too, Miss Lancia."

The both of them doing what he said. After that, he demands them to closed their eyes.

Cecilia found herself in a wide green meadow along with Max and The Holy Priest.

The wind's breeze touch her cheek. She can smell the scent of the fresh grass. Her eyes fixed on the blue sky. Everything seems so real for her.

"This is dragon's lair." The old man said and walk first. "It was a long time since I came here. Yet, everything look the same."

Max raised his brows, "You know this place?"

"Of course, Your Highness. When I was a teenager, this place is my playground."

"Playground?" Now, Cecilia asked in disbelief.

"It's really bringing back the memories. Then, Your Highness, Miss Lancia, lets the trial begin."

Before the young couple can react, the ground was shaking and the sky getting darker. Green meadow turning into black, barren soil.

"What?!" Max snapped when he noticed the disappearance of the old man.

"Where is he?" She asked confusedly.

"Dammit! Take my hand, Chili. Let's get out of here."

Cecilia became a little hesitant before take his hand, and they started running, avoiding the crack of the soil that getting bigger.

"Ack!" Cecilia shouted when her feet stepped on the vines of thorn.

Max gulped when he saw that the plant growing bigger. Quickly, he holds her body into his arms and hugged her tightly.

"Max!" She's yelling when noticed that the vines were following them.

He smiled faintly, "Finally, you called my name."

Her brows frowned,"It's not the right time for joking around."

"I'm not." He jumped to the nearest tree, reaching the highest part of it and staring down at the vines which struggling to followed them.

Cecilia's tighten her grips to his neck. Wondering why did he can be standing on the skinny branch.

"You aren't a fan of height, are you?" He said when notice her pale face.

"K-kind of."

"Don't worry. I'm a good climber."

Cecilia gulped when she's staring down at the thorny vines in the ground, "I hope so. But, what is happening? Did Holy Priest… gone?"

"Who knows? Let's think about how we escaped from this."

Cecilia's purple eyes, nothing, something like a castle in the distance. "Look at that! Do you think it can help us?"

Max shrugged and hugged her more tightly, "Let's find out then."

"W-wait-- Aaaccck!" She almost bit her tongue when Max jumped to another tree without even look worried.

"Why did your heart beating so fast? Fall for me again?" He asked when he jumped to the sixth trees.

"Of course, no! I think I'm going to vomit."

But, he's grinning widely, "Just enjoy the scenery, Chili."

After the thirty-fourth's tree, they arrived at the entrance of the castle. Suddenly, everything was calmed and turned into normal.

The sky became blue, and the meadow is appeared again.

Cecilia's face became more serious. "It's seemed like they were doing this to guide us here. But, what is happening?"

Max threw his gaze to that old castle. It was built from gray stones and only have one wooden door. No windows can be found.

"First of all, can you put me down?"

Max walked and pretend that he didn't hear her complaint.

"I know you heard me, Max." She crossed her arms and pout.

"Please stop it. You look so cute, and I can't focus."

"Max!"

When they reached the door, he noticed that it was unlocked. His left leg, quickly kick the door.

Cecilia's eyes widen when she knew who was waiting behind the door.

"Auntie?"

"Who are you? Do I know you?" The red-headed woman look so confused. She has the same appearance with Kaleela.

Max cleared his throat, "We came for the trial."

That woman's eyes shining so brightly before smiling, "Ah, my father's blessing. For a dragon, he is too generous. Yeah, congratulation. Both of you was passed."

"Wait, but I don't understand what kind of the blessing we got?" Cecilia asked.

"It depends on from your power. Go and try to find by yourself. Good luck."

Max rolled his eyes, "Can you tell her that she is my destiny?"

"Huh? She didn't know that either? Oh, my. Truly, stupidity has no limit."

"What?"

"Yes, young girl. Both of you was destined to each other. No matter what you do, you will find each other. Even in this or on the next life. Okay, time's up. See you next time."

She clicked his finger and a second later, both of them teleported back to that room and sit on their chairs.

The Holy Priest holding his empty glass and smiling, "How did the journey come?"

Cecilia and Max was exchanging their gaze.

"It was weird." She said after noticing his proud smile. "I don't understand why."

"Yes, Miss. This world is full of mysteries."

"That's not what I meant, though. It' just--, Oh? Where is Fat, I mean Duke Lancia?"

The old man still smiling and give her a letter. "This is for you."

Cecilia quickly opened the letter and read those neatly handwritten.
