Chapter 54: Chapter 54

It is just another ordinary hot days in South Island. Cecilia walked to the building site when several men are busy to painting the walls. The ranch resort is almost done.

Mary, who walked behind her, said, "It's like a magic. How come they can build those building in the very short time period?"

Cecilia nodded, "I thought so."

Of course, Grant is behind of this. When the nights came, he's doing his job to enhance the building time and matched it using the draft of her drawing. So just one week after the arrival of the builders, everything is almost done.

Sometime, without Cecilia acknowledge it, he helped to fasten the growth of their plants. Everyone on the Island thought that it must be because of the compost which Cecilia made.

Because of this, the citizens starting to idolized and respected her as the leader of this island.

"I heard the livestock you are ordered is on the way here, Miss."

"Great. Now, we can expand this farming business into the next level!" She looks so excited when said it.

"I'm glad everything is according to your plan, Miss."

Cecilia smiled, "Thank you, Mary. Then, let's go back. I need to do something to advertise our tourism spot."

"Advertise?"

"Yes, I want to let everyone knows about our wonderful island. You will see, Mary. This place is going to be hit!"

Mary smile proudly to her employer and never for a second, she ever doubted to this genius lady.

Both of them walk to get on the carriage and Cecilia seem in the deep thought. She didn't talk anything even they already arrived in the City Hall.

"Mary, I will go to the Library, and please don't disturb me until dinner time, okay."

"Yes, Young Miss."

But before that, she walks to her private kitchen to make some snack for herself.

A half of an hour later, she enters the Library and find Grant who read a book on the wooden chair.

"Oh, Niece! Is that food you bring here? Perfect timing! I'm so hungry."

Cecilia put a plate full of square shaped bread. "Gyeran-ppang or egg bread. Please be careful because it's still hot, Uncle."

Grant casually take one piece and eat it, "Wah! It's so delicious! Fluffy, savory, tasty and sweet, too."

Gyeran-ppang is one of the most popular street food in South Korean. Cecilia still remember it in her past, as if it was yesterday. Her favourite vendor who sell this bread was located in the main street near from her school.

The sweet scent and fresh bread draws any passerby’s attention. Cracked eggshells are piled high, and we can’t miss the steam and smoke.

The vendors wrap the hot bread in a little cardboard paper sleeve, so we can hold it when it’s still hot. It’s cheap and delicious and a simple snack to eat.

Cecilia smiles when she realizes that even the memories of the faces in the past was cloudy, but her knowledge, especially about foods, still fresh and lingering on her mind.

After eating one piece of bread, Cecilia takes a paper and start drawing a brochure.

"What is it, Niece?" Grant asked in curiosity.

"I want to send this to the newspaper. For advertise this island's resort."

He scratch his scalp, "You are exaggerating. It's just an inn which surrounding in ranch. Even a honeymoon couple wouldn't want to stay in that place!"

Although Cecilia thinks that their relationship is getting better, but his word still sharp and sarcastic like ever, "Eh? Wait, Uncle! I think I got an idea. Let's make an amusement park!"

Grant snort softly, "What is it? Another crazy idea?"

Cecilia draws in lightning speed before show it to her uncle, "Look! This is a great place to date for couples or just hanging around with family members."

"What the hell is this? Train in a floating rail?"

"It's roller coaster. We can enjoy the thrill since it running in very fast movement."

"And this wheels?"

"Ferris wheel. It just a rotating upright wheel with multiple passenger-carrying components, like... you know... a small room, which attached to the rim in such a way that as the wheel turn. The person in the room can see the spectacular views of this island."

Grant stares at her, "Where did you get this idea? Don't tell me it's come from the book?"

Cecilia gulped. Seem he didn't believe her favorite excuse, "Well, I dreamed of it."

Heavy silence hanging in the air before Grant said in a cold voice, "Then let it be staying in your dream."

"Uncle, didn't you want to break the stereotype of magician?"

"What do you mean?"

Cecilia stared at his rough drawing. With current technologies, it is impossible for her to make this ride.

But, magic make everything possible. "Why don't we tell people that magic isn't harmful? With this magical park, we can show them that magic is fun."

He sneered. "I can't wait to see your father's face if he heard this."

"Why? Magic is wonderful, right? Perhaps they will stop doing the witch hunting and everyone can accept their true self. I mean, they don't have to hide anymore."

Grant searching something in her eyes and what he found was sincere. It is not a secret that normal people afraid of the magician user.

In several places, the people who doing witchcraft ritual or even if they're having a tiny bit of mana (magic power), they will be executed.

That's why, so many witches or wizard living in secluded place far from human. They do have an association to help each others.

Grant is a magic user. But he just an ordinary human. He got the mana by learning magic and blessing from Hark The Dragon. Not by nature or bloodline.

Luckily, no one in Hagrav knows about it because Armano tried his best to cover it up. So, Grant still accepted by society or nobles.

But, not every one was lucky like him. Kaleela is one of the worst cases. She was born by magic stone and her human father abandoned her when she was ten, after his wife died by an accident. Kaleela then saved by a witch who made her became her apprentice.

Grant never has any interest in magic. But, he who was wonder struck by Kaleela's beauty, chose to learn it. And the rest is become a history.

Grant let out a heavy sigh. It's look like a gamble, but he never knows the end until he tried. After clicked his tongue, Grant asked, "So, what do you want me to do?"
