Chapter 36: Chapter 36
"If look can kill, I must be died by now." Kaleela smiles and sit on the chairs.
They are in a small beautiful garden full of colorful flowers. There was a small round pink table with two pairs of white of wooden chairs.
The witch flicked her finger and the two cups of black tea is appears on the table and ready to drink.
"You shouldn't have hurt him!" Cecilia look annoyed and shook her head.
"It's okay. Your masked boyfriend is not that weak. He was just clumsy. Please be my guest." Kaleela sipped her tea with an innocent look.
"He is not my boyfriend." Cecilia took a seat in front of the witch. But, she doesn't touch the tea.
The witch's eyebrows raised. "Oh, so it is only him… Poor boy, I should've being gentle to him."
"Miss Kaleela, let's just go back to your home. Max would be worried."
But the red-headed woman raised her right hand, "Just one minute. I'd like to ask you several questions. You are from Lancia's, right?"
"Yes."
"From which one?"
"Eh?"
Kaleela rolled her eyes when saw her confusion, "Armano or Grant?"
"You know my father?" Cecilia's eyes widen, and she looked so shocked with that fact.
"It depends on your answer."
"Armano is my father's name."
"Ah, is that so? And how about… your uncle?"
Cecilia uncomfortably shifted her legs, "I don't know. I just… don't like him."
"Yeah, he can be so annoying sometimes."
Cecilia shook her head when remember their last encounter, "And possessive too."
"That's his charm point." Kaleela hid her smiles by drink her tea.
"You have weird taste,"
"At least I am not dating with a mysterious overprotective masked man."
"Just like I said before, we are not dating."
Kaleela put her cup on the table, "Yes, yes. So, let's go back to our business. What are you doing in my house? Really."
Cecilia gulped so hard. "I need advice."
"From me? I mean, you are going to ask me advice?" She can't help but grinned widely.
"I'm sorry for disturbing your busy time, but yes. I need something to enhance the fertilizer or pesticide."
Kaleela wrinkled her nose, "Never heard any of potions."
"Can we just go back to Max? I'm feeling anxious."
The witch sneered. Dragon's blessing for a couple can protect her from (several) magic attack and make them able to feel each other emotions.
Too bad that they aren't couples, she thought. They looks good together.
Then she snapped her finger and come back to her house. They saw that Max was still kneeled with a tightening fist.
"Max! Are you okay?" Cecilia shouted to him.
Max sighed in relief when he saw that purple eyes. "Chili!"
She stretch out her hand to helps him stand. "I'm sorry to make you wait."
"Did she do something to you?" Max hold her hands tightly and refuse to let it go.
"No, we were just talking about--,"
"Ahem!" Kaleela cleared her throat and throw a playful smile. "I'm still here, lovebirds. So tell me more about your potions, Miss Lancia."
"Just Cecilia, please."
"Ok, noted. Just Cecilia, then." The witch sits on the nearest chair and see her guests with full attention. "Tell me about those ferti-something."
Cecilia exchanging glance to Max, which makes Kaleela snickered since they are still holding hands, "Fertilizer is used to enhance the quality of crops. But, I still didn't find the right formula, so I'm doing compost method instead. Thus, they can harvest crops with better qualities. It is still in preparation, though. We made it by burying the rotten crops."
"Huh? Is it possible?"
"Yes. We apply layers of dry leaves, weed, twigs and soil upon them. Once or twice a day, we rake it and keep them moisture. After several weeks, they will become a nutritious vitamin for the soils."
"Hmm. And how about the other?"
"Pesticide is a potion to repel the pest. You can make it by diluting the vinegar in warm water. Or crush the garlic, chilies before adding some warm water. After a day, strain them, and it is ready to use."
Kaleela nodded and failed to hiding her amazement, "Wow, I never thought you can be this smart."
"That's Chili for you!" Max snorted and look like a proud father.
"I read it from a book." She smile shyly before added, "But, honestly, I didn't think it's enough. This morning, I already gave them samples of pesticide. Here, I bought one for you. Please tell me about your opinion."
The Young Miss put a small glass bottle in the witch's hand.
"Well, okay then. Please come back next weeks. I need to check something."
Cecilia smiles so brightly, "Wah! Thank you so much, Miss Kaleela!"
"No. I'm the one who thanked you, since I have nothing to do."
"You are so kind." Then she bends the knees outward, sweeping one foot behind her and bowing her head to the witch. "As a representative from Lancia and South Island, I want to thank you about everything you have done."
Kaleela's lips twitched and found nothing to say. This is the first time she got a perfect bow from a nobles.
To be exact, it is the first time for her receiving any appreciation from her action.
But, she doesn't know why a sweet girl like her, born from Lancia? It is not match with the cold-heartless man like Armano or spoiled brat like Grant. It must be from her mother, she thought.
Max gently elbowed Cecilia as a sign for her to straightening her body.
"It is nothing, Just Cecilia. You don't have to do that." But, Kaleela can't stop smiling.
Max sneered." Then, we have to go now. Bye witch!"
"Eh. Wait--,"
Kaleela never know what is Cecilia trying to say since Max used the teleportation before she finished her words.
"It is so nice to be young." Her smile fading when she takes a look at the small bottle given by Cecilia.
The main reason Kaleela hiding on this island was to start a new life and enhance her knowledge about magic.
Never crossed in her mind to met by another Lancia. The same family who bring nothing but drama to her life.
She used to loved Grant with all of her heart. But, the differences between them was so big, and she chose to ran away from them.
"Perhaps, Grant already married to another woman." She whispered to herself and put the bottle on the table.
"Come on, Kal. Don't be stupid like this." The witch exhaling noisily through her pursed lips. She closed her eyes and began thinking about the past.
