Chapter 1356: Chapter 1356
"That’s right, the Luo Family’s children and grandchildren are all so accomplished now, the elderly couple is living a good life."
"Think about the days the Luo’s Elderly Couple used to live, and then look at their life now. Truly, fortune changes over thirty years; who would have thought the Luo Family would see such good days today."
"The Luo’s Elderly Couple has kind hearts; this is their well-deserved blessing."
"That’s really not wrong. If it weren’t for the elderly couple’s meticulous care, Xuyan and Xuyuan probably wouldn’t have recovered so quickly."
"I suppose this is fate."
"Haotian’s current wife is truly great. I met her once before; she’s clearly someone who knows how to handle things."

Luo Qiao originally planned to stay for dinner before heading back, but she received a call from the hospital. A multi-car accident had occurred on the Capital Suburb National Road, and many injured patients were sent to the hospital. She was asked to get there immediately.
After hanging up the phone, Luo Qiao hurriedly shouted, "Dad, Mom, I have an emergency and need to rush back to the hospital. I’ll leave the kids to you."
Gu Qianru set down what she was holding and quickly replied, "Don’t worry about the kids. Your dad and I will take them home. Drive carefully."
Luo Qiao nodded, "Alright. Yanyan, Yueyue, help your grandparents take care of your little brothers. Mommy might have to work overtime tonight, so you need to behave when you get home."
She grabbed her bag and dashed out of the courtyard, calling back, "Dad, Mom, why don’t you just rest in the suite tonight? Yichen probably won’t be done early either."
Luo Haotian quickly responded, "Alright, don’t worry about us. Drive carefully and stay safe."
Luo Qiao replied, "Got it."
Then, she ran out through the gate.
When she arrived at the hospital, medical staff came to meet her: "Director Luo, please change your clothes quickly; there’s a critical patient who needs you to perform surgery."
Luo Qiao nearly sprinted to the outside of the operating room, and without rest, began disinfecting, donning sterile garments, and entered the emergency surgery room.
This surgery was incredibly risky. Most doctors wouldn’t dare to take it on, and those capable of handling it were already busy with other surgeries. Everyone pinned their hopes on Luo Qiao.
Time ticked by, second by second, and the patient’s family anxiously waited outside the operating room.
The surgery continued well into the evening, even as night fell.
The patient’s mother couldn’t bear the stress and fainted on the spot. After emergency care, she stabilized and, upon waking, immediately grabbed a nurse’s hand: "Nurse, how is my son doing now?"
The nurse understood the emotions of a family member, especially a mother, at this moment: "Director Luo is giving her all to save him right now. There are very few doctors in this hospital capable of performing such a complex surgery, and Director Luo is one of them. Please don’t worry; he’ll be alright."
Hearing the nurse’s reassurance, the patient’s mother seemed to find her footing again. Gathering her strength, she returned to waiting outside the operating room. After four and a half hours of intense effort, the patient was finally pulled back from the brink of death.
Luo Qiao emerged from the operating room, surrounded by family members. Removing her mask, she said, "Rest assured, the surgery was very successful."
The patient’s mother broke into tears of joy, repeatedly saying, "Thank you, thank you."
Earlier, they’d overheard some of the doctors discussing—given the severity of the injuries, the chances of survival were slim. Hearing now that the surgery was a success, the mother immediately collapsed from relief.
Luo Qiao said, "The patient still needs some time before he can come out. Please take a seat over there and compose yourselves. The patient will need your care later, so don’t exhaust yourselves right now."
After saying this, she left.
There was another surgery waiting for her. The next patient was the last one rescued from this multi-car accident. His injuries were especially severe, requiring simultaneous surgeries on multiple areas.
The patient was still en route to the hospital, and Luo Qiao had ten minutes to rest. She took the opportunity to attend to her physiological needs, drink a glass of water, and then headed back toward the operating room.
Time meant life. She needed to prepare in advance so that she could immediately start as soon as the patient arrived.
Outside the operating room, she bumped into another doctor who had come to assist with the surgery. After exchanging greetings, they entered together to change clothes, disinfect, and begin pre-surgical preparations.
Five minutes later, the patient was wheeled into the operating room, and the surgical lights illuminated.
