Chapter 1350: Chapter 1350: Are We Not Allowed to Speak Anymore?
Lu Yichen remembered Stone’s matter and was thinking about finding someone to stir up trouble for the Ning Family, so they wouldn’t have time to bother Stone for now.
At least let Stone settle down in the army, and then deal with it after college graduation and assignment.
After sending Stone away, Luo Qiao took their two daughters to bathe. Once the girls were settled, she finished her own shower and was drying her hair when Lu Yichen walked in.
Luo Qiao noticed his hair was still wet: "Why are you running around without drying your hair?"
Lu Yichen chuckled: "It’s fine. I just came to check if our daughters are asleep, and at the same time, I can escort you back to our room."
Luo Qiao rolled her eyes: "You’re acting like I’m so weak. Come over here, let me dry your hair."
Lu Yichen obediently squatted down, letting Luo Qiao mess around on his head with a towel, while he reached out to wrap his arms around her waist.
After his hair was mostly dry, she picked up the hairdryer to finish the job: "If you don’t take care of this now, you’ll pay for it with health problems when you’re older."
Lu Yichen held her tightly and wouldn’t let go: "Isn’t that why I have you? You wouldn’t bear to see me suffer, right?"
Luo Qiao replied: "What if I’m not by your side someday? Don’t always assume everything will be fine because I’m here."
Lu Yichen picked her up: "Let’s go back to the room. If you’re not by my side, where else would you go? With my wife by my side, I fear nothing."
Back in their room, Lu Yichen gently laid her down on the bed: "From now on, don’t say things that break my heart. Didn’t we agree before that we’d never be apart?"
Before she could retort, Lu Yichen extended his arm to turn off the light. He pulled her directly into his embrace: "Qiaoqiao, I’ll listen to whatever you say, but don’t say those kinds of things anymore."
Luo Qiao sighed helplessly: "I was joking, but you’re acting like it’s real. Can’t I say anything at all?"
Lu Yichen kissed her forehead softly: "You can joke about other things all you want, but not about this. I want us to be together forever, joyful and content."
Luo Qiao thought about the "seven-year itch" people often mentioned, but her husband seemed to be even more clingy.
Thinking of this, she couldn’t help but laugh in the dark.
Lu Yichen noticed her laughing: "I’m talking to you, but you’re laughing."
Saying that, he punished her by kissing her lips. The kiss stirred emotions in both of them, and Luo Qiao wrapped her arms around his neck: "Brother Chen, I love you."
Encouraged by this, Lu Yichen became unstoppable, proving his love through actions. The room didn’t quiet down for a long time.

The next day, as soon as Luo Qiao entered the school gate, she was intercepted by Miao Shuang, who was waiting there.
Luo Qiao lowered her car window: "Miao Shuang, what’s going on?"
Miao Shuang looked displeased: "You’d better head straight to the lab. You don’t have classes this morning anyway. Teacher Gao’s mother-in-law is here causing a scene again. She’s even been shouting for you.
She’s saying that regardless, your mom is her niece-in-law now, and accusing Teacher Gao of bullying people. She insists you can’t just ignore this. Right now, she’s causing a fuss in the office.
Teacher Gao wants to divorce her daughter. This time the old lady might really be desperate. You’d better steer clear."
Luo Qiao nodded: "Alright, thanks. You’d better head back; don’t be late for class."
After delivering her message, Miao Shuang felt relieved. Since she had her first class coming up, she nodded: "Alright, I’ll head back."
After Miao Shuang left, Luo Qiao changed her route and headed toward the lab instead. She took out her phone and called Lu Yichen: "Brother Chen, that Old Madam Qian—He Qiuping’s aunt—is at the school again, causing trouble. I heard Teacher Gao wants to divorce her family’s third daughter.
The old lady started involving me, too, saying my mom is her niece-in-law and that I can’t just stand by. I didn’t go to the office building; I headed straight for the lab. You handle it."
Lu Yichen frowned deeply as he listened: "Alright, don’t worry about it. I’ll take care of it."
Luo Qiao busied herself in the lab for a while before receiving a call from Miao Shuang: "Qiaoqiao, after my first class, I saw Old Madam Qian leaving the office. She said she was going to find the leadership."
Luo Qiao laughed: "Well, isn’t that better? At least things will quiet down for everyone."
Because of the previous incident, Lu Yichen specifically had someone investigate He Qiuping’s relatives and confirmed that Old Madam Qian was indeed his biological aunt. He immediately called He Qiuping and got the number for Old Madam Qian’s son’s workplace.
He straightforwardly told the son that if he didn’t want to lose his job, he’d better make his mother stop making trouble immediately, explaining the situation thoroughly before hanging up.
When her son realized who Luo Qiao was, he quickly took leave and rushed to the school. After whispering to his mother for a while, the old lady realized her son might get implicated. Weighing the pros and cons, she left the office.
She then went to find the school leadership, but since it was a family matter, the leaders were all eloquent and managed to send her away within a short time.
A few days later, Teacher Gao somehow managed to get a divorce from Old Madam Qian’s third daughter. The next day, he even got registered with Teacher Huang.
Although Luo Qiao disdained their methods, it wasn’t her place to comment. After all, she wasn’t the one involved. Other people’s joys and sorrows were something she couldn’t fully comprehend, so she chose not to judge.
Time quickly passed, and by the twenty-second day of the twelfth lunar month, the residential compound held a big communal meal the night before. They set up two large pots outside the gate, prepared a few small cold dishes, stir-fried both vegetarian and meat toppings, and made a broth.
There was no formal banquet; everyone brought their own bowls to the pots to serve themselves noodles, adding toppings and cold dishes. The aroma was absolutely mouthwatering.
