Chapter 1608: Chapter 1608
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Countless explosions reverberated through the skies of Zodiacron Prime. The final war between the Zodiacrons and the Hive raged, with shards of metal flying everywhere, the agonized cries of insectoids echoing, and blood from both sides spilling as each faction took lives mercilessly.
After Drakogon's lies and schemes were exposed, the Zodiacrons, defying his expectations, allied with Maria and Quick Hare. Led by them to pursue the truth, and with the Hive Queen, her eldest daughter, and their two spaceships bringing their entire colonies into the skies, the ongoing battle would determine the fate of this planet.
Drakogon clashed with Quick Hare, the Zodiacrons watching the intense duel while defending against swarms of Hive Insectoids, desperately clinging to life.
Although Quick Hare was strong enough to face Drakogon, it seemed impossible for all the Zodiacrons to survive this war, especially with the Hive attacking from every angle, targeting their lives mercilessly, led by their Queen and her Daughter.
The Hive was relentless, their sharp jaws biting through the Zodiacrons' defenses. Shields and armor rapidly crumbled into pieces.
Warriors stood on the frontlines, fighting to protect the weaker civilians, who had been persuaded by Drakogon to join the battle for truth, now trapped and barely able to contribute.
While the Zodiacrons numbered just over a thousand, most were untrained civilians, not warriors, making them easy prey for the insectoids. Telepathically controlled by their Queen, the insectoids evaded attacks and slipped through defenses to target the smaller, vulnerable Zodiacrons.
"Don't bother with the larger warriors. Distract them and sneak inside. Aim for the untrained citizens. They'll be easy prey! Kill! Kill as many as you can!"
The Queen's voice commanded their minds and souls. Warrior and Flying-type Hive Insectoids dominated the skies, while Drones roamed the ground, pursuing Zodiacrons attempting to flee.
The battlefield was utterly chaotic, and the war had only begun thirty seconds ago. However, the tide quickly shifted.
Bright blue light enveloped hundreds of Zodiacrons per second, even those underground, as their wounds rapidly healed. The Hive was stunned, especially as thousands of ghostly hands slapped them away, weakening them severely.
"My wounds are healed!"
"How is this possible?"
"The Hive is acting strangely!"
"Is this someone else's doing—no, it's her?!"
"Quick Hare's friend!"
The Zodiacrons quickly realized Maria's hand was pointing downward. She wasn't even looking at them, focused on a battle of Auras against the Hive Queen and her Daughter
Yet she still had the power to aid them so significantly.
"Everyone, I can handle these two alone. Please help the Zodiacrons. There are too many, and even with my aid, I cannot fully ensure their safety."
Her words echoed through the souls of her family, familiars, and undead, who nodded in response. Her Shadow Realm opened, revealing an Abyssal World from which thousands of Nightmare Undead surged, attacking the tens of thousands of insectoids from the two Hive Colonies above.
The Hive was caught off-guard. The stronger Nightmare Undead easily seized and tore them apart. Most of Maria's Undead Army consisted of Nightmare Beasts from Azure Star, accompanied by dozens of Kaiju-sized creatures, each matching the massive Hive Titans and overwhelming them with powerful breath attacks or magic.
Maria didn't stop there. Her Outer Goddess form shifted slightly, gaining a golden and black helmet shaped like a jackal's head, while her body donned golden and black Anubis armor, stacking the power of her transformations.
"{Divine Death Beast Transformation: Guardian of the Underworld, Anubis}!"
An explosion of power surged from her body as Maria unleashed nearly her full strength from the outset. Her Anubis transformation, layered over her [Shub-Eryndra, Abyssal Mourner of the Starless Deep] true form, didn't make her anthropomorphic. Instead, it formed an armor of Anubis' power, covering her dress and veil, primarily composed of her black tears.
Though her sorrowful expression remained unchanged, her eyebrows furrowed. The helmet concealed most of her face, revealing only the glowing crystal eyes of Anubis within.
Her Dream Weapons absorbed the transformation's power, taking the form of black and golden sands. Her sword and halberd fused into Anubis' Scythes, which she wielded in her right hand, while her left hand held a golden balance that materialized instantly.
Maria's Aura of Death and Void intensified, as golden and black sands merged with it, creating a sandstorm of nether, phantasmal energies, and pure black void. A dark fog emanated from her Aura, spawning more transformed Undead, now clad in golden Egyptian armor and mummy wraps, wielding golden and black scythes as their primary weapons.
These abilities stemmed from her Anubis Transformation, which empowered her Undead into "Tomb Guardians," boosting their stats by over 300%. The black fog allowed them to recover endlessly at the cost of her Mana, rendering them nearly immortal.
"What powers is she using, Mother?! She's holding her own against our Psychic Domains and the Psycho Waves they endlessly produce! Not even a God King like Drakogon could stand against us!" the Hive Queen's eldest daughter gasped in disbelief.
"She's not from this world," the Hive Queen said. "Who are you?! Why are you interfering in my battle? This world and its people have nothing to do with you!" The rıghtful source is novel(ꜰ)ire.net
"Perhaps they don't," Maria replied. "But Quick Hare was kind to me from the start, and Drakogon angered me, so here we are."
"You'd risk your life and your family's for that alone?!" the Hive Queen demanded angrily, urging Maria and her army to abandon this world.
"There's more to it," Maria said. "I aim to destroy the tower, but I need as many allies across its worlds as possible. That's the gist of it."
"Nonsense! If you want to pursue such a reckless goal, do it alone. Don't drag everyone else into your grand scheme!" the Hive Queen roared, her psychic powers coalescing into dozens of pink light spheres, bombarding Maria from all angles.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
"That's rich coming from someone trying to drive this world's people to extinction by feeding on them," Maria retorted. "Your words only apply to others, not yourself? As long as you desire, everyone else gets entangled in your schemes, right? I'm not sure if your vocabulary includes this word but let me teach you what it means."
Maria swung her scythe upward, unleashing a massive black hole of darkness, phantasmal flames, and black void that exploded before the Hive Queen and her daughter's barrier.
"It's called hypocrisy."
