Chapter 1602: Chapter 1602

Quick Hare felt as though she were falling through endless darkness. In just over a day, many events had unfolded in her life. It all began when she met Maria, and slowly, the truth about the world she thought was perfect started to unravel. One revelation followed another. The idols she admired turned out to be frauds, the world she believed to be great was built on lies, and the monsters she considered enemies were her leader's greatest allies.

Worse still, the people she cared for and served all this time were merely being raised as food for these monsters. The idea of a war, of fighting for their future, of protecting their homeland—it was all a fabricated lie. Battles were orchestrated, people died because their deaths were planned to feed the Hive, and those who survived did so only because their God King allowed it.

If she had never met Maria and her family, what would have become of her? What kind of life would Quick Hare have led? As she drifted through this abyss of darkness in her sleep, she couldn't help but ponder this repeatedly.

She would likely have perished against the Hive Drone chasing her, she realized now. She felt pathetic yet, at the same time, wanted to smile.

She longed to laugh at herself for being so foolish, so gullible, so utterly naive. To trust someone so blindly, to follow their every command, and to believe in them even after they insulted her to her face and sent her to her death.

Although she hated Drakogon most, the second person she despised was herself.

Quick Hare loathed her weakness, her emotions, her frustrating lack of experience. She was tired of it all…

And somehow, without realizing it, she mirrored Drakogon's past more than anyone.

However, while Drakogon chose to betray his brother and friends for the glory they denied him due to his youth and inexperience, Quick Hare was now forging a different path.

She yearned to avenge those who were deceived, to do everything in her power to bring Drakogon to his demise as painfully as possible, all while exposing the truth about his lies to the world.

Yet, in the end, she was too weak. Oxetron alone could have killed her if she hadn't been fortunate enough to defeat him, and now, she wasn't even sure what had happened to her.

Was this truly a dream? Was she sleeping?

Or was this the afterlife? An endless void where her soul would drift eternally?

"…Gallotron, where are you?"

Amid this, Quick Hare remembered Gallotron, whom she hadn't seen since the war. She had initially assumed he was elsewhere, but now, she began to worry.

"I shouldn't have talked to Vyperion like that…" Newest update provıded by novelꜰire.net

Regret struck her as she recalled how she had spoken to Vyperion. Overwhelmed by emotions at the time, her reaction had clouded her judgment.

But now, with her judgment restored and a sense of calm, she couldn't help but regret her actions and how she treated the Zodiacron who was essentially her father figure.

"I screwed up. I shouldn't have acted the way I did… I must have hurt you… I'm sorry…"

As she closed her eyes, drifting alone through the void…

Something heard her words of regret.

A brilliant golden light appeared in the distance, Quick Hare noticing it rapidly approaching, resembling a ray of sunlight.

As it drew closer, she realized it wasn't mere light but a figure—a small creature traversing the dark void, crafted from radiant golden light.

She was speechless, unable to comprehend what was happening, but the small creature was indeed a rabbit, leaping through the black void until it reached her.

"My youngest child, but also my most important."

"In you lies the key to save your kind and protect your world."

"Don't falter, and don't hesitate. Keep moving toward your dream."

"We are watching over you, my child."

The rabbit pierced her chest. Quick Hare's eyes widened as she awoke, finding herself resting on the broad back of a scaled creature—a massive white dragon.

"Oh, you're awake. You've been asleep for an hour," Maria greeted her, looking at her from the side. "I did my best to repair your entire body with my Skill, but I'm still wondering if I missed a spot. How do you feel?"

"Huh?" Quick Hare glanced around. "I…"

She touched her chest, feeling as though something should be there, but found only the empty socket for a special core, one she had never received.

"No… I'm fine," she muttered. "Thank you, Maria… I owe you one."

"Ah, don't worry," Maria said, smiling. "That was pretty intense, huh?"

"Yeah… a lot happened and… ugh, my head still hurts a little," she sighed. "But I don't think it hurts because it was injured, no… I don't know why."

"Well, you fought nearly to death," Vyperion said.

"I can't believe you fought all those foes on your own and even won… I am impressed, Quick Hare," another voice echoed behind her.

"Vyperion, I wanted to talk to you about—Ah? Huh?!" Quick Hare's eyes widened as she noticed a tall Horse Zodiacron sitting beside Vyperion. "G-Gallotron?!"

"Yes, in the metal," Gallotron nodded, striking his chest with a loud clank. "How have you been, Quick Hare?"

"Where were you this entire time? I was so worried!" Quick Hare cried, smiling happily.

"We found him underground, beneath the spaceship," Maria explained.

"He and several other Zodiacrons were being held captive. They were to be eaten later because they kept rejecting the parasitizing insectoids in their bodies," Emeraldine said.

"We barely managed to find them while they were still alive, clinging to life however they could. I used my skill to heal them and fed them a lot of other metals I had," Maria added.

"W-What?" Quick Hare looked around, noticing about ten more Zodiacrons with them, some on the back of Lucifer, others on Nyx's back. "So many! I'm so glad you survived! But… what happened? Who brought you there?"

"It was during the battle, when the Corrupted Zodiacrons attacked you and Vyperion," Gallotron said. "My squad and I tried to assist you, but we were suddenly attacked by a Tiger Zodiacron, Stryphex… I couldn't believe it myself, but he was too fast and strong. He knocked us out before we could fight back, and when we woke up… well, we were there."

"Stryphex… so it wasn't just Drakogon… of course, his right and left hands…" muttered Quick Hare, growing furious. "They've been working with him this entire time…!"

"Gallotron and the other Zodiacrons here, I assume you no longer blindly trust Drakogon after what happened to you, right?" Maria asked, glancing at the Zodiacrons, whose expressions shifted, revealing concern.
