Chapter 422: Chapter 422
Moreover... moreover, Elias is actually so nervous and attentive to her, something I’ve never experienced in all the years I’ve known Elias Sinclair.
Just a simple mention that "she can’t be found" is enough to make Elias worry.
The smile on her face is starting to falter, jealousy and envy growing wildly in Melody Shepherd’s heart like unquenchable wildfire.
It’s truly the epitome of irony.
"I’ll help too, I’ll go search upstairs and the outer hall, and if anyone finds Miss Lowell, we should call each other to inform." She stumbled forward, her voice still tuneful and sweet under such anxious conditions, like a white lotus blooming in the dark night.
"Hmm, I’ll check the garden, pavilion, and rooftop outside, Cameron, you go to the back building." Elias Sinclair’s eyes are about to overflow with worry, he glanced out the window just as thunder roared.
Perhaps Quinn Lockwood is trapped somewhere by the heavy rain, he needs to find her quickly.
That woman dislikes this kind of weather the most. Whenever it rains, she curls up in a corner, staring dazedly out the window, looking like she’s been terribly wronged.
Thinking of this, Elias could no longer wait, his heart felt empty as if he couldn’t grasp anything at all.
Upon hearing Elias say he’s heading toward the rooftop, Melody’s eyes revealed a peculiar glint and she called out to the man about to turn away: "Elias, the staircase leading to the rooftop is indoors and the door has been locked for years. Miss Lowell likely isn’t up there."
"I think she might have drunk too much and is resting in some corner. We should pay more attention to concealed spots to be more efficient."
Melody’s expression was serious, logically analyzing where Quinn might be, making it seem as though she was genuinely concerned.
Elias glanced at Melody and nodded lightly, evidently agreeing with her.
Without wasting another second, the man swiftly strode outside.
Cameron quickly followed, searching in another direction.
Thus, the three of them set off in three directions.
After the two men left, Melody’s gaze changed rapidly, unlike her usual gentle and pure demeanor.
When Elias carried her away, she caught a glimpse of someone who looked remarkably like Quinn heading in that direction.
So... during the moment Elias went out to fetch water for her, she arranged a waiter to lock the rooftop door.
She wasn’t afraid Elias and Cameron would discover this because no one had gone up there in ages, and the lock was just a decorative piece hanging there.
As for why Melody arranged for the waiter to lock it, it was simply to prevent any precious young masters or misses from accidentally venturing onto the rooftop and encountering accidents.
Well, she did it for everyone’s safety at the party, who would’ve thought Quinn would go up there.
Even if someone finds her locked in there, it wouldn’t be Melody’s responsibility, blaming the brainless waiter for not checking above.
Melody looked towards the staircase leading to the rooftop, her eyes carrying a hint of satisfaction.
With such heavy rain outside, even someone with a delicate physique like hers might catch a cold or something.
Meanwhile, Elias was braving the pouring rain, searching every corner for Quinn.
He already checked the surveillance from the control room.
Quinn indeed hadn’t left the banquet area, her last appearance on the monitors was when Melody was taken to the lounge.
Elias saw her with a bottle of red wine, staggeringly heading toward the side door before she seemed to vanish into thin air.
The side door could lead to anywhere outside the main banquet building, but Elias had searched every corner of the garden without finding a trace of Quinn.
Suddenly, the man felt a pang of panic, a ridiculous thought washed over him, fearing Quinn might suddenly disappear into nowhere.
Elias’s hand, hanging by his side, clenched tightly, rain trickling down from his fringe, soaking his expensive tailored suit, sticking heavily to his frame.
An unprecedented feeling of tension and forlornness rose from his core, spreading like endless darkness, enclosing Elias, obscuring Quinn’s presence completely.
Cameron, maybe he found Quinn.
With this thought, Elias seemed to grasp a sliver of hope, promptly taking a deep breath and sprinting toward the main hall.
His polished shoes thudded heavily on the ground with his race, splashing rainwater onto Elias’s legs, specks of mud quickly staining his trousers.
Yet, this usually fastidious man, intolerant of any dirt on his person, seemed completely unfazed now.
Elias returned to the hall where the three agreed to rendezvous, just as Cameron came from another direction, his blue suit similarly drenched, a sight little better than Elias.
"Didn’t find her?" Seeing Cameron alone, Elias’s heart sank again.
Upon seeing Elias, Cameron’s heart also sank, he shook his head softly, his voice slightly hoarse: "No."
His hand tightly clenched Quinn’s phone, like guarding something precious.
His lips, pale like cherry blossoms, were pressed tightly together as though holding back some emotion.
"Elias Sinclair, Savannah wouldn’t just leave without a word, it’s entirely because of you."
"You better clarify your intentions, what exactly do you want? If you don’t love Savannah, then stop binding her with your identity." Google seaʀᴄh N0velFire.ɴet
"If anything happens to her today, I won’t let you off!"
The two incredibly handsome men stood facing each other, although their looks, temperament, and personalities differed without any similarity, their fierce, fiery gazes were equally matched.
Cameron had always projected a gentle, refined image, but having grown up amidst Mr. Lowell’s financial dealings, he had long developed a similar authoritative aura to Mr. Lowell’s younger days.
Normally, due to his personality, he concealed his inner sternness, now fully unleashed, his icy, threatening presence rivaling Elias’s who was perpetually in a position of power.
"I haven’t bound her with my identity."
"I absolutely won’t let Savannah Lowell leave The Sinclair Family, she’s my woman." Elias’s cool tone reverberated in the empty hall, carrying an unquestionable determination.
The man’s eyes were dark and deep, like a bottomless cold pool, his phoenix-like eyes slightly narrowed, looking at Cameron’s gaze shimmering with a dangerous glow.
At this moment, Melody descended the stairs from the second floor, coincidentally hearing their conversation.
Elias, he actually said Quinn Lockwood is his woman and vowed never to let her leave The Sinclair Family!
