Chapter 403: Chapter 403
Dylan then realized something was wrong with Quinn and instantly understood what had happened to her.
Jonah Hansen, that beast!
Dylan cursed fiercely in his heart, wanting to take Quinn to the hospital immediately. But when he raised his head, he saw Xenia Monroe looking towards him from the corridor entrance.
She had come over after receiving an unfinished message from Quinn.
But why, why did she have to witness such a scene?
Xenia’s lips were tightly pressed together, and she felt an overwhelming tightness in her chest.
She... she indeed knew Dylan’s feelings for Quinn.
But ever since she knew Dylan, she hadn’t seen him have any overly intimate interactions with Quinn, so she didn’t feel uncomfortable about it.
Why did she feel uncomfortable?
Thinking about her own feelings every time she met Dylan, Xenia’s lips curled into a bitter smile.
She used to say Quinn was a fool, but it looked like she was the real fool for not even realizing she liked someone. Newest update provıded by NoveI-Fire.ɴet
A flood of bitterness welled up in Xenia’s heart, and she bit her lip until it bled, with tears nearly welling up in her eyes. She turned around quickly, wanting to escape the scene.
"Sierra, don’t go, come over and help." Dylan noticed and quickly called out to Xenia.
Quinn’s condition seemed to worsen. She struggled to control herself, not letting her body draw closer to Dylan, but her hands involuntarily started pulling harder at her collar.
"Hospital." Quinn’s voice turned hoarse due to suppressed emotions. She released Dylan’s arm and crouched to ease her extreme dizziness.
Xenia then noticed Quinn’s unusual state and rushed over, crouching next to her. Seeing the seductive aura emanating from Quinn made her very concerned.
"Savannah, please hold on. I’ll call Mr. Sinclair right now." Xenia quickly searched for Quinn’s phone to call Elias Sinclair.
Because Xenia’s touch stirred Quinn, the heat she was trying hard to suppress surged up again.
"Jonah Hansen, that scumbag. It’s a good thing I knew his true colors and joined this crew, or today..."
"I’d love to give him a beating." Dylan clenched his fists, watching Quinn crouch on the ground, painfully trying to restrain herself, and felt an uncontrollable surge of anger.
He was glad he went against his manager’s wishes and joined the ’Illusion’ crew. If no one had discovered Quinn’s condition today, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
Who knows if the person who drugged her had any further plans? If this got out, Quinn’s life would be ruined.
After informing Elias about the hotel’s name and the floor she was on, Xenia quickly ended the call.
She overheard Dylan muttering his resentful words.
He really still liked Quinn.
So all along, he only considered her a friend, an equally passionate friend who he could talk to.
"Mr. Sinclair says he’ll be here soon. If there’s nothing else, I’ll go now." Xenia felt downhearted. Unlike before, she didn’t join Dylan in cursing Jonah Hansen, the jerk, nor did she wait to go home with Dylan.
"Sierra." Dylan didn’t understand why Xenia suddenly seemed so cold towards him, and instinctively grabbed her wrist.
Xenia’s body stiffened slightly, and she pulled a faint smile, turning to speak coldly to Dylan: "I have something to do, so I can’t hang out with you lately."
With that, Xenia pulled away from Dylan’s hand and left without looking back.
Watching Xenia’s departing figure, Dylan’s heart suddenly tightened, as an unexplainable feeling quietly spread from his heart.
Elias Sinclair hurried down from the presidential suite on the top floor upon receiving Quinn’s call.
He hadn’t returned to the Sinclair Family estate because he needed to handle some business via video conference and was staying with Kevin at this hotel overnight.
When Xenia called him earlier, he was in the middle of the video conference.
The man instructed Kevin to delegate the tasks to other responsible parties before rushing downstairs.
When he saw Quinn crouching on the floor, flushed cheeks and eyes hazy, Elias’s face darkened completely.
"Mr. Sinclair, over here," Dylan quickly stood up to wave at Elias upon his arrival.
The man nodded slightly at Dylan, maintaining a cool demeanor, as he crouched to lift Quinn.
"Elias..." Seeing Elias made Quinn suddenly feel relieved. She wanted to stand and go with him, yet she was too weak and sat back down.
Elias quickly supported her, kneeling on one knee to hold Quinn around the waist as it was inconvenient to lift her.
"Thank you." The man said, carrying Quinn gently in his arms, his gaze resting on Dylan, his voice as calm as ever.
If Kevin heard this, he would probably be utterly jealous of Dylan.
Kevin had worked hard for so many years but never heard a single word of thanks from Elias.
Dylan just took care of the lady for a short while but was acknowledged by Elias with appreciation!
Dylan was a bit surprised too.
After all, someone like Elias, perched atop the social ladder, never deigned to express gratitude to those below him.
Apparently, Quinn was truly important to Mr. Sinclair.
With this assurance, Dylan felt at ease.
As Elias and Quinn’s figures disappeared, Dylan recalled Xenia’s cold attitude when she left, and his heart grew a little heavier.
He furrowed his brow slightly, still wanting to ask Xenia what was wrong.
Meanwhile, Elias swiftly and smoothly placed Quinn inside the car.
Fortunately, Elias hadn’t driven himself today but had brought a designated driver.
"Hospital, speed up." Elias knocked on the divider, his voice low and seemingly with a trace of restraint.
He instructed the driver.
The driver, having received the destination, raised the partition between the front and back seats.
"Elias... I really want, really want to pounce on you." Quinn’s voice was teasingly seductive, and her eyes were filled with alluring charm. Her small hand circled around Elias’s neck, boldly climbing onto his lap, straddling him.
Elias’s expression remained indifferent and aloof. He wrapped an arm around Quinn’s waist, preventing her from accidentally slipping or bumping into anything.
