Chapter 225: Chapter 225
Quinn Lockwood was almost startled into sitting up, a person as high and mighty as him actually... bought her sanitary pads!!!
She truly couldn’t imagine how such a noble, aloof, and unrivaled man managed to go to the convenience store and ask the clerk for sanitary pads.
"Sir, the food has arrived." At this moment, a soft knock came from the door. Elias Sinclair gently lowered his eyes and then got up to open the door, bringing the meals inside.
Watching the man open the meal boxes one by one and glancing at that big bag of sanitary pads and warm stickers, her heart felt increasingly warm and touched.
Bathed in the incoming sunlight, his tall and graceful silhouette was surrounded, and his exquisite, handsome face became increasingly gentle and soothing.
Quinn Lockwood stared round-eyed at Elias Sinclair, feeling exceptionally alert at the moment, alert enough to have not a hint of sleepiness or dizziness, yet somehow a bit muddled, as if some strange feeling kept swirling in her mind.
"Get up and eat a bit, I just asked someone to pack and deliver the Snapper Soup and Mixed Congee." The man took off his jacket and hung it to the side, then gently helped Quinn Lockwood up.
"Thank you." Quinn Lockwood wanted to take the bowl and drink the congee by herself, but the man directly avoided her hand.
"Open your mouth." The man’s brows and eyes, as graceful as a painting, had already softened. He scooped up a spoonful of Mixed Congee, blew it lightly, then brought it to Quinn Lockwood’s lips.
After drinking the congee, Quinn Lockwood slightly raised her eyes to look at the man in front of her, their gazes met, and for a moment, she was surprisingly flustered, lowering her eyes in a hurry.
Inside, a soft and enchanting warmth quietly stirred.
Wade Lynch had been following Quinn Lockwood for the past two days, although he didn’t know what was happening in the hospital room at the moment. Judging from Elias Sinclair’s urgency as he carried Quinn Lockwood to the hospital and hurried downstairs to buy a big bag of female hygiene products, their relationship was certainly unusual.
What partnership, old family friendship—those sounded like tall tales to Wade Lynch!
It seemed Quinn Lockwood must have been dodging him the last time. Although both of their families indeed had that layer of relationship, the answer he most wanted wasn’t revealed to him.
Feeling increasingly unhappy deep down, he thought he had helped her many times, yet she refused to tell him even a single truth.
With a more serious gaze towards Quinn Lockwood’s hospital room, Wade Lynch decided to thoroughly investigate Quinn Lockwood’s identity and her relationship with Elias Sinclair.
Since Quinn Lockwood said her family and Sinclair Group were old family friends, it was certain that this woman’s family was not simple either.
Inside the hospital room, after Quinn Lockwood finished the meal and took a little nap, the nurse brought in the body-conditioning medicine prescribed by the doctor, along with stronger painkillers.
"The doctor said you can go home and rest, we’ll head back to The Sinclair Family soon." Elias Sinclair looked at the medicine list, spoke flatly to Quinn Lockwood.
"No, my... my scripts and things are still at home." Quinn Lockwood blinked unnaturally and shook her head to refuse.
"Grandpa is still waiting for me to bring you back home; he heard you left early this morning without having breakfast." Elias Sinclair slightly turned to look at Quinn Lockwood, seeing her less insistent in her refusal, the corner of his mouth curled slightly.
"Well... alright then." Quinn Lockwood pursed her lips, thinking she would be able to stay at The Lowell Family while conditioning, yet unexpectedly her plan fell through.
Ah well, for Grandpa Sinclair to recover quickly, back to The Sinclair Family it is!
After a brief tidy-up, Elias Sinclair took Quinn Lockwood to The Lowell Family to get her scripts.
As for clothes, daily necessities, and cosmetics, Elias Sinclair and Grandpa Sinclair had long filled Quinn Lockwood’s walk-in closet to the brim, Grandpa Sinclair almost moved his store over for Quinn Lockwood.
Seeing Elias Sinclair and Quinn Lockwood, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell were initially startled, then warmly pulled the pair to sit on the sofa.
"Dad, Mom, I’ll go upstairs to pack first, you guys chat." Quinn Lockwood shot Elias Sinclair a look hinting to keep her fainting incident secret, watching the man lower his eyes in response thereafter, she felt relieved to go upstairs to pack her scripts and some documents.
"Elias, have you and Savannah... reconciled?" Mrs. Lowell observed the little exchanges between the two, feeling increasingly delighted.
"I came specially to take Savannah back to The Sinclair Family this time." The man nodded slightly in response.
Mr. and Mrs. Lowell, hearing this, were so happy they nearly stood up to applaud, while Cameron Grant, on the side, paused slightly, his clear peach blossom eyes instantly dimmed.
After packing up, Elias Sinclair took Quinn Lockwood back to The Sinclair Residence.
"Hello sir, hello madam." A row of servants formally stood at the door welcoming Elias Sinclair and Quinn Lockwood, the scene was quite grand. Official source ıs NovєlFіre.net
"Thank you, you’ve worked hard." Quinn Lockwood nodded slightly in response to them, then followed Elias Sinclair upstairs.
"Oh my, did you hear? Madam just thanked us and said we’ve worked hard." A servant exclaimed in surprise after Quinn Lockwood left.
"I heard, I heard, she’s so gentle and elegant. If it weren’t for that same face, I’d suspect sir brought a new madam back," another maid quickly chimed in.
The head steward hearing this hurriedly stepped forward to scold, "No more nonsense, if sir or Grandpa Sinclair hears you, you’ll be in trouble."
As Elias Sinclair brought Quinn Lockwood to the room, as soon as the door opened a water-filled bottle was thrown over; Quinn Lockwood was just about to dodge when the man turned and sheltered her in his embrace.
"Thank you." Quinn Lockwood smiled at Elias Sinclair, then turned to survey her room, seeing lots of creepy portraits stuck on the walls, and several scary dolls with disheveled hair hanging from the windows.
After removing those dolls and placing them on the sofa, she noticed Elias Sinclair’s face had grown cold and serious, knowing in her heart that this prank was likely Nina Sinclair’s ’welcome gift’ for her.
"Well, I quite style, don’t go looking for Nina Sinclair, she was scolded by you only yesterday, she’s probably feeling upset now." Quinn Lockwood felt the painkiller’s effect seemed to have worn off, her abdomen started feeling slight pains.
Nina Sinclair was, after all, quite a few years younger, and had been indulged by Grandpa since childhood, so her actions inevitably reflected a childish temper, though at times quite annoying, Quinn Lockwood always considered her as a younger sister.
It’s just some photos and a few dolls, get someone to tidy it up soon, and it’ll be fine.
The man’s eyebrows slightly constricted while he stared at the photos on the wall, then turned coldly to leave. Shortly after, two servants knocked on the door and came in to deal with those photos and dolls.
"Madam, sir asked you to rest early, not to stay up late." A servant respectfully said while saluting Quinn Lockwood.
"Alright, thank you." Quinn Lockwood nodded, gave the two servants a polite smile.
