Chapter 182: Chapter 182

After pressing the door close button, the elevator didn’t close. A tall figure in black held the door open with one hand and then slowly walked in, directly snatching the lunchbox from Quinn Lockwood’s hand.

"What are you doing?" The woman glared indignantly at Elias Sinclair, thinking that if the elevator door hadn’t already closed, she would definitely have left immediately!

Elias Sinclair slightly curled his lips, raising the lunchbox and examining it carefully: "I went downstairs to handle some matters and haven’t had lunch yet. Fortunately, you have something ready here."

"It’s not for you, give it back to me." Quinn Lockwood pouted, rolling her eyes expressively, and raised her hand to grab the lunchbox from the man’s hand. But with a backward step, the man held the lunchbox high above his head.

Quinn missed the signal and bumped directly into the man’s embrace.

"If it’s not for me, then who are you bringing it for?" With his other hand, Elias gently patted Quinn’s head. A glimmer of amusement appeared in his deep-set eyes as he slightly smiled, his tone carrying a hint of teasing.

Joyce Kramer saw Quinn Lockwood openly flirting with Elias Sinclair, and she almost crushed the folder in her hand.

As soon as the elevator door opened, Quinn walked out without a backward glance, and Elias ignored Joyce entirely, as if she didn’t exist at all.

Joyce’s eyes seemed to ignite with jealousy, and her sharp gaze was as if it could kill.

Savannah Lowell, she would never let her threaten her position again and again.

After leaving the company, Quinn noticed Elias following her and found it odd, but then again, maybe he had some errands to run.

Not wanting to dwell on anything involving Elias, Quinn directly unlocked her car, got in, and was about to start the car. Unexpectedly, Elias knocked on the window and then sat in the passenger seat.

"What are you doing?" Quinn was very surprised to see him, thinking Elias might want her to drive him to work instead.

"Get out, I’m not a chauffeur."

Elias fastened his seatbelt, adjusted the seat height, and then leaned back comfortably, looking at Quinn with ease: "You’re so clumsy and just threw a tantrum, I can’t trust you to go out alone."

Then, with his phoenix-like eyes glanced at Quinn, he slightly closed his eyes for a rest.

Quinn glanced side-eye at the man beside her but chose not to engage with him.

What on earth did Elias eat wrong today?

Starting the car, Quinn slammed the gas pedal, speeding up to one hundred and eighty miles per hour.

If he dared to sit in her car, then she’d show Elias what thrill and the Akina downhill racing legend felt like.

"What are you doing?" Elias saw Quinn planning to turn the sports car into a plane, and immediately his eyebrows furrowed, pupils suddenly enlarged: "Are you crazy? Slow down immediately."

Seeing Elias’ shocked expression, a smile appeared on Quinn’s lips, feeling quite pleased.

"Don’t worry about my skills, I’m a professional driver."

She drove directly back to the Lowell Family’s house, stepped on the brake to a halt, almost throwing herself out of the seat.

"Is that your so-called driving skill?" The man looked slightly displeased at the woman in front of him but seeing her seemingly in a good mood, he decided to let it go.

Anyway, Quinn was the worst driver he had ever seen.

Upon entering the house, they saw Cameron Grant coming down the stairs.

"Brother." Quinn Lockwood greeted Cameron warmly while changing her shoes.

"Back so early, Savannah?" Cameron quickly took two steps forward, just about to pat Quinn on the head, when he saw Elias walk in through the door.

"Elias, you’re here too, did something happen?" Glancing between Quinn and Elias, Cameron couldn’t help but furrow his brow, thinking something unpleasant might have occurred.

"No big deal, have you finished with company matters? How about going out for a drink later?" Elias asked while sitting on the sofa nearby, appearing in a good mood.

Not wanting to dampen Elias’ spirits, and realizing the two of them hadn’t had a proper chat in a while, Cameron nodded in agreement.

"Brother, his wound just healed; he can’t drink!" Quinn blurted out before she realized, instinctively grabbing Cameron’s sleeve.

Seeing Cameron pause slightly, Quinn realized she might have overreacted. For more chapters visıt noveⅼfire.net

How could she have such an immediate response without thinking?

She glanced up furtively at Elias and noticed him with an amused smile looking at her, which embarrassed her greatly. She kept fidgeting with her fingers, her face red with an awkward blush.

"I-I’m going upstairs to rest." Keeping her head down, Quinn turned and hurried upstairs, her steps slightly hurried and flustered.

The man watched Quinn’s figure disappear and felt a faint trace of joy inside.

When Elias Sinclair returned to the company, he received a phone call.

"Sir, the management of the agency has secretly arranged another large payment over there, and now Warren Thornton has been bailed out."

"When did this happen?" In the man’s eyes was a coldness.

"I’m sorry sir, I just found out about this too." The voice on the other end of the line faltered, instantly shrinking back in fear.

"Useless!" He directly ended the call, throwing the folder on the table in a flash of anger.

Speeding like Quinn drove, Elias went straight to the agency, kicked open the office door, and looked down at the board members, scaring them into a tremble. They hurriedly stood up from their chairs, their hands trembling slightly on the table’s edge.

"Hand Warren Thornton over to me right now." Elias strolled leisurely, his fair fingers gently caressing his chin, his dark eyes narrowing dangerously as the atmosphere became charged with impending storm.

The board members exchanged secretive glances, none daring to speak.

Actually, they couldn’t afford to offend Elias either, but their hands were tied as Warren held plenty of dirt and financial reports on the company. If these were exposed, they wouldn’t survive it.

The money alone to bail Warren out was enough to take them down. Besides them using their own money, the company also had to fork out a considerable amount.

"Oh? Looks like you board members need a good meeting to discuss." Elias paused at the main desk, fingers lightly tapping on the table, his long phoenix eyes sweeping oppressively across the room, sending chills down everyone’s spine with the frosty and ominous aura.
