Chapter 170: Chapter 170
"Yeah, yeah, Savannah is so lucky, having such a handsome and gentle guy. If it were me, I would’ve said yes long ago!" Naomi nodded in strong agreement, eyes full of envy, jealousy, and hatred.
And the news of Quinn Lockwood being pursued by a gentle male deity quickly reached Sylvia Lawson’s ears, who used the excuse of discussing the script to visit Quinn Lockwood’s floor.
Seeing several assistants gathered, eyes full of hearts, looking towards the direction of the lounge, Sylvia guessed that the two of them must be in the lounge right now and gracefully walked over.
"Savannah, are you in there? It’s Sylvia." She knocked on the lounge door and, seeing no one responding, was about to press the handle when the door opened.
Raising her eyes, she was met with a charming and gentle pair of peach blossom eyes.
Sylvia’s heart skipped a beat. Such porcelain-like delicate skin, distinct and elegantly handsome features—how could this man be so good-looking?
With a polite nod to Sylvia, Cameron Grant turned back to look at Quinn Lockwood, his slightly deep yet clear voice incredibly pleasant: "See you later, Savannah. Let me know when you’re off work, and I’ll pick you up."
Watching Cameron Grant’s departing figure, Sylvia found him strangely familiar.
"Do you need something?" Quinn Lockwood didn’t really believe that Sylvia Lawson had any legitimate reason to be looking for her, thinking she was likely snooping for gossip.
"Oh, I suddenly remembered that I forgot to take the script. I’ll ask you later." A mysterious gleam flashed in Sylvia’s eyes, and she hurried upstairs.
Who exactly is that handsome man?
Dressed in a suit with extravagant taste from head to toe, aside from Mr. Sinclair, she hadn’t seen another man with such presence.
Mr. Sinclair, The Lowell...
This man is Cameron Grant, the CEO of The Lowell Group!
It was like a bolt from the blue.
Sylvia thought of that handsome, delicate face and how he spoke gently to Quinn Lockwood, her eyes shooting sharp daggers.
Dylan Quinn, Elias Sinclair, Cameron Grant, why are these god-like men all revolving around Quinn Lockwood!
Gnashing her teeth, Sylvia was consumed by a fiery jealousy.
The next day, Elias Sinclair came to the agency to find Quinn Lockwood just in time to see Cameron Grant tenderly looking at her, both sharing laughter in conversation.
"Haha, uh! Cough cough!" Quinn Lockwood took a sip of water but before she could swallow, a wave of laughter overcame her, causing her to choke directly.
Cameron Grant immediately got up to pat her back, his face full of concern.
"Cough cough, okay, okay, I’m fine." Quinn coughed forcefully once more to expel the water from her throat, her cheeks flushed from a lack of oxygen.
Seeing tears glistening at the corners of her eyes, Cameron tenderly cupped her face to wipe them away, the coolness of his hands comforting her heated cheeks.
Although Cameron Grant was Quinn’s brother, seeing the two so affectionate and close, Elias Sinclair’s heart filled with a mix of emotions, his face darkening.
"What are you doing here?" With a sullen face, Elias walked over, his gaze towards Cameron unusually cold.
Slightly taken aback, Cameron stood up, smiling warmly at Elias: "I’m here to see Savannah."
"Let’s go, we’re leaving." With a cursory glance at Cameron, Elias pulled Quinn from her seat, heading straight for the door.
"Hey, hey, I haven’t finished work yet." Quinn almost had to jog to keep up with his strides, her heels clacking determinedly on the floor before Elias realized he was walking too fast.
"When I say work’s over, it’s over." Elias, lightly frowning, held her wrist without letting go.
"Then I... I’ll inform my manager." Thinking he urgently needed her elsewhere, Quinn tried to break free but was again pulled into Elias’s arms as her heel slipped.
"Does anyone dare disobey my order?"
Without giving Quinn a chance to reply, Elias led her out of the company.
Sylvia, watching from upstairs, saw Elias and Quinn hand in hand heading towards the car, her grip tightening until her nails dug into her palm.
A director of a well-crafted epic drama about palace intrigue reached out to Quinn Lockwood, hoping she’d play the lead female role, along with another actress signing on as the second female lead.
Given the reality show collaboration between Quinn and Sylvia Lawson, and the company’s intent to promote Sylvia, it was naturally decided to cast her as the second female lead.
When Sylvia learned about this, joy was the last thing she felt. Why should she be overshadowed by Quinn Lockwood? She had no interest in playing second fiddle.
Recognizing her company’s intention to have her become a star, she arranged a dinner with the person in charge that evening.
Dressing provocatively and drinking until her cheeks were flushed, Sylvia repeatedly brushed her foot against the company’s representative under the table, her gaze seductive and alluring.
"Oh, Lewis, slower, slower." In the hotel room, a woman’s enticing moans could faintly be heard...
The next day, the company announced Sylvia as the drama’s lead actress, while Quinn Lockwood was demoted to the second female lead.
Anna naturally was unhappy. Clearly, the director had chosen their artist originally. How could they just switch roles like that? The reason given was that Sylvia was more fitting for the lead’s character and appearance.
"I scoff!" Back in the studio, Anna was displeased, openly cursing Sylvia without reservation: "Where does anyone see that little tramp fitting the lead role? She probably just let that old man have his way for a night just to get it!"
For Quinn Lockwood, the role whether first or second didn’t matter, as long as she had the chance to learn and improve her acting skills. But hearing Anna’s words, suspicions grew in her mind.

She doubted Sylvia would sacrifice so much just to take her role.
As soon as Sylvia got the script, she was eager to flaunt it, even heading to Quinn’s floor.
"Savannah, did you get the script? I wonder what the second female lead’s personality is like." With a superior air, she looked at Quinn, then glanced at the script on the table, clicking her tongue.
"Well, isn’t this just a naïve character, truly annoying." She then curled her lip disdainfully, proudly waving her own script.
Quinn was surprised at Sylvia’s audacity. She hadn’t even approached her with grievances, yet Sylvia was already here boasting provocatively.
Did she really think Quinn Lockwood was a pushover?
Taking Sylvia’s lead script, Quinn casually flipped through it, similarly clicking her tongue, and looked at her with disdain: "Oh, I thought this was some great role. The lead lines are too stupid, I wouldn’t take it even if offered for free. I know, Sylvia darling, you haven’t acted in many films, but surely you don’t have to act so uncultured."
