Chapter 137: Chapter 137

The image of Savannah Lowell drugging Elias Sinclair and climbing into his bed unintentionally flashed in her mind, making Quinn Lockwood feel awkward. It was embarrassing that such a beautiful and seductive ’goddess’ was thrown out of the room by him!

The man looked at the rich expressions on her face, raised an eyebrow unable to resist teasing, "What, you seem rather disappointed nothing happened?"

"I... I wasn’t..." Quinn Lockwood listened to his ambiguous and blunt words, her face turning red down to her neck. Coupled with her stiff posture, her waist was uncomfortably pressed against the edge of the table behind her. She then raised her head and moved her body a bit.

The tenderness on her lips made Elias Sinclair’s heart almost skip a beat, his throat tightened immediately, as if feathers were constantly scratching at the inside of his chest. His deep eyes lifted slightly, just meeting the woman’s astonished gaze.

Before Elias could react, Quinn Lockwood pushed him away.

"I’m... I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to." Quinn Lockwood kept her head down, not daring to look at Elias, her ears flushed red, her hands incessantly twisting behind her.

Stammering, not knowing what to say, she hurriedly covered her lips and whispered, "Thank you for today, I’ll be going now." Then she ran out in a flustered manner, almost as if escaping.

Elias stood in place, his eyes slightly flickering, not knowing what he was thinking about. Then he slowly put his fingers on his lips.

Due to Elias’s complete reorganization and admonishment of the whole crew, everyone was diligently responsible for their work.

Quinn Lockwood had finished all of Wendy Sherman’s courses and additionally researched the acting methods of many accomplished performers. Although she couldn’t be called skilled in acting now, she was one of the best among actresses of her level.

The scenes shot over several consecutive days were completed with excellent performance, and even when Ariana Lynch intentionally caused difficulties occasionally, she could try her utmost to avoid issues, striving to pass smoothly.

Seeing her repeated success, coupled with the director’s increasing favor towards Quinn Lockwood, Ariana Lynch was infuriated, holding a grudge without knowing when to let it out.

"Dylan’s here, what flowers today?"

"Wow! It’s baby’s breath in seven colors, so beautiful."

"So envious, I want one too."

As soon as Dylan Quinn entered the set, he was immediately surrounded by a bunch of girls.

Feeling remorseful after Quinn Lockwood was taken away by Elias Sinclair last time, Dylan found himself increasingly unable to let go of her afterward. Her image constantly surfaced in his mind, leading him to start a romantic pursuit of Quinn Lockwood.

He asked every woman in the crew what would touch their hearts the most if pursued, and the unanimous answer was flowers, all kinds of them. Hence, he carried a different bouquet every time he came to the set.

Reporters had already snapped photos of Dylan buying flowers. As for the gift delivery... Although they couldn’t enter the set, they still managed to capture Quinn holding the bouquet when Dylan saw her out. Chapters fırst released on novel✦fire.net

Once their photos were released online, there was an uproar again, along with Freya Caldwell’s previous incident. Dylan’s fans and other netizens expressed their disapproval of them being together.

"Savannah, today’s is baby’s breath. Wishing you smooth filming today." Dylan’s gaze was filled with unstoppable tenderness, making Quinn Lockwood dumbfounded.

This guy has been acting strangely lately. Although he didn’t take her to the hospital after bumping heads last time, there’s no need for such guilt.

Yet, seeing Dylan’s gaze on her, why does she feel a hint of... affection? As she thought of it, she quickly patted her head.

What am I thinking, they’re just great buddies.

"I mean, there’s no need to be this remorseful. Now everyone’s saying you’re pursuing me. If it spreads, wouldn’t that cost you followers?" Quinn Lockwood took the flowers and placed them in the vase on the table by the door.

Since it was a gift from a good friend, she couldn’t just discard it. Placing it by the door also made it convenient to take when leaving work.

"It’d be fine," Dylan shrugged, then pulled Quinn Lockwood to sit beside him and chat.

Ariana Lynch stood aside, watching the two with the bouquet of baby’s breath on the table. Her normally gentle appearance was somewhat disrupted by the cold resentment in her eyes.

But it was only fleeting. She soon replaced it with a look of envy and walked over, speaking sweetly.

"Wow, rainbow baby’s breath, how gorgeous, Savannah, can I have a look?" Ariana Lynch’s cautious request, with eyes filled with admiration, was hard to refuse.

Quinn Lockwood thought she simply wanted to join in; refusing would seem petty. She nodded in agreement.

As Ariana lifted the vase, she kept an eye on the pair’s movements out of the corner of her eye. Seeing they weren’t watching, she let a sinister flash cross her face and exclaimed as the vase slipped from her hand.

Ariana quickly bent to catch the flowers, only to bump into a black sleeve.

In came a tall and slim man in a suit, surrounded by a cold aura, who steadily caught the bouquet mid-air.

"Mr. Sinclair, thank you," Ariana forced a smile, intending to take the bouquet from Elias Sinclair, only to be intimidated into recoiling by his sharp gaze.

As Elias studied the flowers in his hands, his gaze darkened upon reading the card: ’From Dylan to Savannah’. His cold eyes lifted slightly, seeing the two sitting closely together. With a thud, he placed the vase forcefully back on the table.

Savannah! They must be quite close to be on a first-name basis.

"Huh?" Quinn Lockwood noticed his anger, found it strange, and wondered who upset this big boss again.

"You’re here," as he walked towards her, she quickly stood and waved a greeting.

Since the previous incident, Quinn Lockwood no longer saw Elias Sinclair as merely bossy and aloof. Though he claimed he helped merely for company interest, she knew he was just too proud to admit it.

Recalling his gentle voice calling her while she was unconscious, Quinn Lockwood beamed even more, realizing she had discovered a side of this stoic CEO that others hadn’t.

Watching her radiant smile, Elias’s gaze slid to the multicolored bouquet again. A strange look crossed his eyes, his expression turning more severe. Ignoring Quinn Lockwood’s enthusiastic greeting, he walked straight into the production office.

Seeing his demeanor, Quinn’s smile froze instantly, her lips twitching as her eyes followed him until he disappeared.

Come on? Quinn puzzledly touched her nose, feeling dumbfounded, thinking she hadn’t offended him, so why the sudden change in demeanor!

"What’s up, Savannah?" Dylan’s gentle voice pulled her back; she squinted her eyes and smiled.

"Nothing, nothing, go check the script. Our scene might be next."

Ariana glanced at their direction, a sly look passed through her eyes as she glanced at the baby’s breath beside her and slightly curled her lips.

After filming wrapped in the evening, Ariana called out to Dylan.

"I have something to discuss with you, about Savannah Lowell."
