Chapter 130: Chapter 130

Since Freya Caldwell wants to act, then she’ll play along.

"You..." Freya covered one side of her face, and immediately rushed to tear at Quinn Lockwood. The staff nearby saw this and hurriedly intervened to stop them. Ariana Lynch watched the two with great interest, paused for a moment, then got up to pull Freya back.

"Let go, all of you. Savannah Lowell, what right do you have to hit me?" Right now, Freya Caldwell was utterly furious. She had only slapped Savannah Lowell once and never thought the other would have the guts to hit back, and on her face!

"Isn’t that part of the act?" Quinn Lockwood looked at her, appearing conflicted, but a gleam flashed in her eyes.

"Alright, alright, Faye, calm down," Ariana Lynch said in an affectionate tone, calling Freya Caldwell sweetly while smoothing her back, only to be shrugged off to the side.

"This is clearly bullying! How am I supposed to act ?" Freya covered both sides of her face, trying hard to suppress the anger inside, looking extremely aggrieved.

"What’s going on? Savannah Lowell, what have you done? Who told you to slap her?" The director, seeing them deliberately causing trouble, was really annoyed but couldn’t vent his anger on Freya Caldwell.

"Ice pack, ice pack, assistant, quickly get an ice pack for Miss Caldwell." Ariana Lynch’s lips curved subtly, then she quickly put on a very worried expression.

"Freya added this bit suddenly, I had no choice but to follow along. My character is the vicious supporting actress; I can’t possibly beg her for mercy, can I?"

Quinn Lockwood frowned in displeasure; she knew Freya Caldwell intentionally wanted to make things difficult, but the director’s attitude really angered her.

"Alright, alright, everyone quickly prepare for the next scene!" The director waved impatiently, now only worried whether Freya could smoothly proceed with the next shoot.

Freya Caldwell returned to the nanny car, carefully inspecting her face in the mirror. She bit her teeth hard, her eyes filled with resentment. She lightly touched the slightly red fingerprint, tossed the ice pack aside, then stared into the wind until tears came, before returning to the set.

"I can continue shooting, director," Freya announced, then glanced with reddened eyes towards Quinn Lockwood.

The director saw the red fingerprint on her face, and her emotions not recovered, hesitantly spoke: "Miss Caldwell, maybe you should touch up your makeup, and rest for a bit?"

Freya nodded at his words, a hint of malice flashing across her face.

In the makeup room, only she and the makeup artist were present. Freya claimed she was unused to the crew’s foundation and sent the makeup artist to fetch her makeup bag from the car.

After the makeup artist left, she scanned the room, seeing costumes sent over not long ago hanging on a rack.

Her almond eyes flashed; she pondered for a moment, swiftly approached, found a dark green vintage skirt, and after closely inspecting the tags and name cards on the clothing, she slightly loosened the garment’s tie and took out a small pin, inserting it at the back.

After everything was done, a strange smirk appeared at her lips.

Upon exiting the makeup room, she saw the man who haunted her dreams.

"Elias, you came, are you here to stand up for Faye?" Seeing Elias Sinclair standing there gloomily, Freya hurriedly clutched her face, walking over with grievance.

"Elias, Savannah Lowell slapped me twice fiercely, you must hold her accountable for me," she said, choking back tears ready to burst.

"Didn’t you make the first move?" Elias Sinclair lowered his eyes, their color gradually turning icy.

"The script... the script is written that way," Freya Caldwell glanced at his expression, inexplicably apprehensive, her gaze wandering, but she tried hard to steady herself.

"Mr. Sinclair, this matter is just a misunderstanding, I’ve been advising Faye not to target Savannah, to humbly learn from her."

Ariana Lynch saw Elias Sinclair from afar and quickly approached, deliberately saying as she noticed Freya behind him, "Faye lacks acting experience, hence couldn’t control her emotions, leading to misunderstanding the script’s intention."

Hearing this, Elias paused briefly but merely glanced at Ariana, without even a cold syllable in response.

Freya gratefully shot Ariana a look, gaining much confidence, then followed up with her statement: "Yes, I lack experience, but Savannah has acted in so many dramas, how could she possibly not understand the plot? She intentionally hit me!"

Quinn Lockwood emerged from the makeup room, seeing Freya’s aggressive demeanor.

A surge of anger inexplicably rose in her chest.

Freya Caldwell’s repeated antics were simply excessive! Does she truly take Quinn Lockwood for a pushover?

Since she’s accused her of hitting intentionally, why not show Freya real intention?

She coldly watched Freya, then, before anyone could react, suddenly stepped forward raising her hand to strike again.

Freya closed her eyes tightly, shrieking, but just when it seemed it would touch her cheek, Quinn Lockwood changed direction suddenly, not hitting her.

"Why are you screaming, I didn’t even touch you!" Quinn Lockwood scoffed coldly, curling her lips in a mocking sneer at her.

"I just saw you don’t quite understand what intentional means, so I came over to teach you," she said, shrugging casually, as if teaching her yet being blamed.

"You, don’t bully others too much!" Freya Caldwell yelled angrily, stomped forcefully, and wanted to say more but was interrupted by Elias Sinclair’s voice filled with anger.

"Get her out of here immediately! Creating such a noisy scene is disgraceful!" Elias furrowed his brows, looking quite dissatisfied at the conflicted director.

The director gave Elias a flattering smile, took a contract from the table, and nervously said, "Mr. Sinclair, we can’t; we’ve already signed a contract with Miss Caldwell, she’s supposed to star in this drama."

Elias raised his eyebrows, grabbing the contract, his eyes lingering on their signatures, his gaze instantly cooling, he then tossed the contract onto the table, saying coldly: "What about signing, don’t forget, I’m the investor of this show, get her out immediately."

Quinn Lockwood hearing this stayed somewhat dazed in place, Elias Sinclair at this moment seemed to radiate a golden glow, contrasting the director’s foul power, he resembled a justice-embodied messenger providing Quinn vast reassurance. Thıs content belongs to novel★fire.net

"Mr. Sinclair, this..." The director was momentarily perplexed.

Quinn Lockwood regained her composure, appearing entirely composed, she took a step forward, looking at Elias Sinai, saying: "It’s okay, the filming can proceed, I don’t mind cooperating with Miss Caldwell."

Elias Sinclair’s expression softened slightly, he looked at the woman before him without responding.

"Speaking of which, I have some matters regarding an advertisement endorsement to discuss with you. How about we move aside for a chat?" Quinn Lockwood smiled at him

and made a ’please’ gesture.
