Chapter 116: Chapter 116
"What are you doing here?" The man’s tone was not friendly.
"I just heard about this from Anna, so I came to see if there’s anything I can help with." Dylan wasn’t displeased by Elias Sinclair’s attitude, still smiling politely, but his expression seemed somewhat disappointed when he saw Quinn Lockwood in the other’s arms.
"Dylan, I’m fine, thank you." Quinn smiled awkwardly; she didn’t know how to explain her relationship with Elias Sinclair now, just hoping he wouldn’t misunderstand.
"I have a first-aid kit in the car; see if there’s anything you can use first." Elias glanced at Dylan and ignored him, instead putting Quinn into the car.
"Is Savannah injured?" Dylan asked, looking at her with some concern.
"No big deal, just twisted my ankle. I’ll just apply some medicine." Quinn explained while applying the medication.
Then she seemed to think of something, and said anxiously, "You should leave quickly, Dylan. There are a lot of reporters here, and I don’t want to get you involved. I’d feel guilty."
Dylan was slightly stunned, then gently smiled at Quinn, saying, "Seeing you’re okay, I’m relieved. I’ll head back now. Take care of yourself."
After Dylan left, Quinn looked around nervously, relieved when she saw no reporters, but she felt the man’s icy presence beside her, not knowing why.
"How is he angrier than before?" As Quinn wondered why Elias Sinclair was angry, she saw reporters in the distance still searching around.
"Let’s go, let’s go, the reporters are coming." Quinn quickly shrank down but accidentally knocked her foot, biting her lip tightly in pain.
Elias Sinclair hit the gas hard, taking Quinn back to the Lowell Family.
"Dr. Smith, come to the Lowell Family immediately with supplies for a sprain." Placing Quinn on the sofa, the man made a call as his first move.
"No need to trouble Dr. Smith; I applied the medication, and it’ll be fine by tomorrow," Quinn knew Dr. Smith was the Sinclair Family’s private doctor; she wasn’t seriously hurt and didn’t want to bother him.
"I don’t want this to delay your filming schedule." Elias laid his hand on the sofa, eyes lowered, looking at Quinn’s swollen ankle.
"Hehe." Quinn gave an awkward smile, feeling that although the man in front of her wasn’t good with words, he seemed to be worried about her.
"By the way, something seems off about this incident. The crowd blocking downstairs said they were my fans at first." Quinn suddenly straightened up, a serious expression on her face.
"What do you mean?" Elias raised his gaze to look at her.
"The first group of people claimed to be my fans, showing extreme enthusiasm towards me, but how could I have fans! Moreover, they kept pushing and pulling my clothes roughly." As Quinn spoke, her expression grew more serious, and her brows became more furrowed.
"Then the reporters swarmed in, hemming me in, pressing questions relentlessly..."
Hearing this, Elias Sinclair also frowned tightly, tapping his fingers gently, his expression changed subtly, but he didn’t respond to her.
Seeing no response from him, Quinn lowered her head, thinking silently, as she heard him softly reassuring her: "Don’t worry about these things for now; your health is most important. Otherwise, Dad and Mom will worry."
Although Quinn found it awkward for Elias Sinclair to say these words, her heart warmed, and she couldn’t help but smile at him, saying, "Thank you."
Elias, seeing her smile so warmly and brightly at him, felt his frown ease and an unusual sensation rose in his heart.
Then he stood up, glanced at his watch, and said to Quinn, "Dr. Smith should be here soon; I have to get back to the office now."
Back at the company, Elias saw Joyce Kramer waiting outside his office.
"President Sinclair, you’re back." Joyce looked at Elias, unable to hide the smile in her eyes.
"How are the procedures for the e-commerce product launch coming along?" The man glanced at Joyce and sat down in his chair, turning on the computer.
"They’re ready for official launch, scheduled for Wednesday." Joyce placed a stack of documents on the desk, her eyes lingering on Elias. Googlᴇ search n0velfire.net
"Hmm, anything else?" Noticing her gaze, Elias looked up at her and asked.
"Did you see today’s trending topic...?" Joyce asked, a subtle glint in her eyes.
"Yes, I saw it. I’ve already sent someone to handle it." Elias replied indifferently, focusing back on the computer screen.
"That Savannah Lowell, always causing trouble for you, President Sinclair. It’s one thing to attract negativity for herself, but she’s dragging you into it... And..." Joyce seemed to hesitate, biting her lip without finishing her sentence.
"And what?" Elias raised an eyebrow, appearing slightly displeased.
"And they’re saying she has ambiguous relationships not only with you but also with many directors, Dylan, and even Ethan..." Joyce took a deep breath, finally mustering the courage to speak.
"Who said this?" The man put down the mouse, his gaze causing Joyce to feel intimidated.
"President Sinclair, the reporters and people from the crew... That’s what they’re all saying." It was the first time Joyce wanted to escape quickly, feeling a bit precarious.
"So it’s all hearsay?"
To Joyce, Elias’s question sounded like confirmation, making her nod involuntarily. "Yes... It’s hearsay."
The man seemed somewhat satisfied, nodding slightly, and asked in his usual cold tone, "Anything else?"
"No, I’ll take my leave then, President Sinclair." Joyce walked out, exhaling a sigh of relief, glancing back at the office, pursing her lips with a thoughtful look...
Dr. Smith applied the medication for Quinn, leaving her with a pile of ice packs and some instructions before departing from the Lowell Family.
"I told you it’s nothing serious." She muttered, then lay on the sofa scrolling through her phone.
"Oh, my god!" She was startled again by several trending topics before she could get comfortable!
"Savannah Lowell dating Elias Sinclair and Dylan simultaneously"
"Elias Sinclair and Dylan fighting over Quinn Lockwood"
She rolled her eyes dramatically, these reporters were relentless. When she saw a photo of herself with Elias and Dylan, her expression was as dark as Elias’s had been.
