Chapter 544: Chapter 544

Three people, either because they were happy to have finally found a direction to strive towards temporarily or due to some other vexing matters, sipped their beers one gulp at a time, indulging in their aspiration for the future.

"For this fucked up life, cheers!"

"To us three being able to work together, bottoms up!"

"I am so happy today!" Jiang Lingling shouted, downing a bottle.

"I’m not happy, I’m frustrated, all men are bastards!" Mai Qiqi grumbled, taking a big gulp.

"From now on, no more being foolish. We shall lead a carefree life!" Wan Chu’er made a wish and tilted her head back to chug.

In the end, they were all completely drunk.

Wan Chu’er was still slightly sober and struggled to get her phone out of her bag. With her bleary eyes, she looked at it for quite a while without seeing any name she liked. Finally, she randomly dialed and ended up calling Mai Qiqi’s number.

Mai Qiqi, groggy, answered the phone and with eyes rolling back, said, "Why is Wan Chu’er calling me? I’m not answering." She hung up and once again collapsed on the table.

Wan Chu’er couldn’t help but laugh at Qiqi’s silliness, "And you say I’m the fool... Clearly, you’re the big dummy."

She continued to search for contacts and dialed again, finally getting through to Jiang Kechu.

"Jiang Kechu? You’re also a bastard." Wan Chu’er muttered in a muddled voice.

On the other end of the line, Jiang Kechu’s expression hardened as he detected Wan Chu’er’s drunkenness and immediately asked, "What’s wrong with you? Where are you drinking?"

Instead of typing at home, she had gone out to drink, and to drink so much, and with whom? Jiang Kechu tensed up immediately, stood up, and prepared to head outside.

Wan Chu’er proudly said, "Jiang Kechu, I won’t tell you. Aren’t you smart? You guess!" And with that, she actually hung up the call.

After hanging up, she shook her dizzy head, feeling something was off. Before she could figure it out, the phone rang again.

Jiang Kechu urgently asked again, "Wan Chu’er, where exactly are you?"

Wan Chu’er with rolling eyes: "Jiang Kechu, you dare to scold me?! You really are a big big bad guy, you not only deceived me, but you also dare to scold me, I’m not talking to you!" And with that, she hung up the phone forcefully again.

Jiang Kechu was speechless and had no choice but to call Li Shan to help locate Wan Chu’er.

Forty minutes later, Jiang Kechu finally arrived at the scene. As soon as he entered, he was hit with a strong smell of alcohol and then saw three women sprawled on the sofa.

After identifying them one by one, Jiang Kechu sighed with relief, looking helplessly at the three unconscious people, and decided to call Chen Ke to take care of Mai Qiqi.

He himself would take Wan Chu’er and Jiang Lingling. First, he went to support Wan Chu’er. Wan Chu’er opened her blurry eyes and looked at Jiang Kechu, then suddenly grinned and said:

"Hey, handsome guy, you really have charm, too bad you look a bit like Jiang Kechu, I hate Jiang Kechu right now."

Jiang Kechu didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, wishing he could catch Wan Chu’er and spank her hard for daring to compliment another man as handsome, even though this man was himself.

"Don’t move, come home with me." Jiang Kechu said solemnly.

Wan Chu’er thought sluggishly and pushed Jiang Kechu away: "No, I have a home, I have to go back to find Jiang Kechu."

Hearing this, Jiang Kechu couldn’t help laughing, thinking to himself that at least she had some conscience, and the beating could be spared. But just as he thought this, Wan Chu’er added two more words: "Settle scores."

Jiang Kechu gritted his teeth; this time he used strength, hugged her tightly, and freed his other hand to pull Jiang Lingling who, luckily, was docile in her drunken state and followed every command without fuss.

They needed a good lesson from Third Uncle Jiang and Third Aunt Jiang. Not only not learning good things himself, but also leading his sister-in-law astray to drink.

He carried one and pulled the other outside, where he bumped into Chen Ke rushing over.

"Captain Jiang." Chen Ke hurriedly greeted and asked, "Where is Mai Qiqi?"

Jiang Kechu spared a glance at him, and then imperceptibly pointed upstairs to a private room number.

"Then I’ll go up first," said Chen Ke.

"Sure, go ahead. Take Mai Qiqi back home. You know where she lives, right?"

Jiang Kechu then stuffed Wan Chu’er and Jiang Lingling into the car and drove away.

First, he went to Third Uncle Jiang’s house, dropped off Jiang Lingling, and as he left, he said, "Lingling idles her days away. You should discipline her and find something for her to do."

Then, ignoring whatever expressions Third Uncle Jiang and Third Aunt Jiang made, he left. On his way, he turned to look at the blushing Wan Chu’er and made a call to the old mansion.

"Chuchu and I have something to deal with; we won’t be coming back tonight."

The car drove all the way to Jinse Garden, where Jiang Kechu carried Wan Chu’er out of the car, into the room, and placed her on the bed, before going out to the kitchen to pour a glass of water and returning.

He coaxed her to drink the water bit by bit, but alas, Wan Chu’er was too deeply intoxicated, and most of the water spilled. Jiang Kechu’s eyes flickered, and he took all the water into his mouth, then leaned down to Wan Chu’er’s lips and slowly passed it to her.

After being fed a cup of water, Wan Chu’er sobered up a bit from her drunkenness. She opened her blurry eyes, looking at Jiang Kechu in confusion.

"Jiang Kechu, why are you here? Get down. You sleep on the floor. No, you can’t even have the floor now. Get out."

Jiang Kechu’s lips curled into a smile, sitting unmoved as a mountain, he asked, "Why can’t I sleep on the floor now?"

Wan Chu’er "hmmphed" and said in a daze and intermittently, "Because you’re a big liar."

"How have I lied to you?" Jiang Kechu reached out to brush the hair from Wan Chu’er’s face behind her ear, revealing her flushed cheeks, and couldn’t help but lean down to kiss her. ʀᴇᴀᴅ ʟᴀᴛᴇsᴛ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀᴛ 𝔫𝔬𝔳𝔢𝔩·𝔣𝔦𝔯𝔢·𝔫𝔢𝔱

Wan Chu’er mumbled a protest and weakly tried to hit him but missed.

Jiang Kechu prompted again, slowly, "Hmm? How did I lie to you?" He patted Wan Chu’er’s face, trying to make her more alert.

Wan Chu’er mumbled confusedly, "You did lie to me, you... tricked me into useless things. I’m not falling for your tricks anymore. From now on, you go your way, and I’ll go mine."

"That won’t do," said Jiang Kechu decisively. Then feeling as if he was talking to a wall, he leaned down again and whispered in her ear.

"Don’t you love me anymore? Didn’t you say I was handsome? If you don’t want me, you won’t see me anymore."

Wan Chu’er was somewhat muddled and replied subconsciously, "Mmm, you are indeed handsome. When I see you, I just want to pounce on you and then kiss you, hehe."

Jiang Kechu laughed, stretched out his long arms to flip her over, lying down on the bed, and allowed Wan Chu’er to lie on his chest.

"Okay, now you’ve pinned me down, you can kiss me."

"Ah?" Wan Chu’er was a bit slow to react, dully staring at the face in front of her. Just as Jiang Kechu couldn’t wait any longer, she finally let out a sly chuckle, bent down, and bit at the corner of Jiang Kechu’s mouth.

Dissatisfied, Jiang Kechu moved her face to one side with his hand, extended his tongue, turning passivity into assertiveness, and Wan Chu’er was kissed until she was even more dazed.

After kissing for quite a while, Jiang Kechu forcefully controlled his burning desire and stopped, asking Wan Chu’er once more:

"Do you like me kissing you?"

"I do." She was very honest at that moment, so honest that Jiang Kechu found her irresistible.

"Where do you like me to kiss you?"

Wan Chu’er giggled, pointing her finger at her own face, nose, mouth, eyes, neck, ... Following the movement of her finger, Jiang Kechu’s eyes became increasingly intense.
