2 Days Later

Marietta P.O.V

"I'm ready. Where are you?" I asked and looked at myself in the mirror. My wavy black hairs were falling on one shoulder and my face was looking nice with light makeup. I had worn a white sequin dress with multiple layers of umbrella sleeves.

"I'm standing outside of your house. So come quickly!" He said with excitement rushing in his voice but I could tell, it was fake.

I left my phone on the bed and trudged outside towards the car. He stood there with a smile on his lips as always. His deep-dark blue eyes were giving me chills in a very bad manner. He was wearing a royal blue tuxedo and his brown hair was messily falling over his forehead, giving him a devilish handsome look but trust me when I said, the devil.

"Hey! You're looking stunning as always." He complimented and it irked me. I remained silent and just passed him a nod. He opened the door of his range over for me and I slid on the passenger seat.

"I have a surprise for you." He said and passed a wide smile which I reflected as I said, "Same here! And........ I'm sure you are going to die for it."

"I'd love to die for you." He winked and I cringed. He revived the engine and our car started to move away from the Amino mansion.

'And I'd love to kill you by my own bare hands.' I thought and looked outside the window where everything was running.

*1 Day Ago*

I was wrapping up all work and about to leave home when Bre stormed inside the cabin with a loud shout of the door. He thrashed a file in front of me on the table. I switched my eyes between the file and his angry face with confusion.

"What is this?" I asked confused and stood up.

"Why don't you see by yourself!" He said and gestured his hand towards the file. I picked it up. I stared at the property paper of Amnio's property inside it confused.

"Bre?" I looked at him confused.

"That house is under Amino property." He snapped with a clenched fist.

"Which house?" I asked shocked by his behavior. What's wrong with him?

"From where that anonymous blue-eyed guy sent you emails! That house #24 at street #76 road****!" He again snapped and punched hard on the table that I jerked.

Email.....House..... Under Amino property! That meant masked savior was right, someone neared me! I looked at him.

"Bre, listen to m......." He cut me off and growled in anger. "No!!! You listen to me. I have check all the property details and....... Caro, Alessandro, and Mia no one has any connection with that house. I went there and check out and I was surprised to see the things over there."

He stopped and glared at me, "I spot your things over there. I never believed what I saw there because I trust you but........just one answer. Where were you on the night of the accident?" His eyes fixed on my face and I felt lost of words and a friend.

"I can't tell you!" I screamed and fought with the tears not to fall on my face.

"Why?" He asked and I looked away. There was pure silence for 5 minutes when he spoke again, "Why my Mom, Marie? She loved you as her own daughter. Why?" He asked and I felt like someone pushed me into a dark never-ending hole.

"Is my soul too dark for you?" I whispered and without looking away from the floor, I ran outside. I only stopped to unlock the car and slid inside and drove towards God know where? I just wanted to go somewhere where nobody knows my name.

I stopped when my car breaks down. It stopped on its own and I stared at the sky. I was in the middle of a forest which happened near our mansion. The sky was dark just like my life. I wanted to scream, I wanted to burst into tears, I wanted to kill myself but all I could do was stare at the sky in silence.

"Does it hurt?" A voice put me out of my trance and I looked at the passenger seat. She was sitting there with the same look as always. Black from head to toe, face covered in a black mask and hoodie, just revealing her green eyes.

"When your love ones called you a traitor." She again spoke and completed her sentence.

"Yes, a lot indeed," I spot my hand on my heart which was beating very slowly, "It felt like someone is stabbing you with a knife right over here."

"It means I'm going to suffer more." She exhaled loudly and I felt unable to discovered her meaning.

"Well, I can't do anything about myself but yes........I can give you relief from your pain." She looked at me and her eyes sparkled. I looked at her confused. She was telling me something about her but not clearly.

"It's against my rules but I can give you a clue about the real murderer. One from three, the main role of the play. Your blue-eyed guy, his name is........"

"Here we are!" Darren's voice snatched me back into reality. He stood with the door opened and his hand expanded towards me.

"My lady!" He smiled.

I took his hand and climbed out. We were standing in front of a building. I took a few steps, stared carefully, and finally recognized it. It was the sealed building of Darren's father's company.

"Having scary vibes?" He whispered from the back too close to my ear that I jumped forwards and immediately turned around. He started to laugh.

Veward P.O.V

Marie was just ignoring me for the past two days no matter how hard I was trying to talk to her. This was not going to work like that! She has to listen to me. I couldn't handle it anymore.

When Walter told me about the crystal and vampire world and about her real identity. For a moment, I was stunned and I felt numb but as minutes passed and I became more aware of the facts. I felt bad because she had to suffer a lot and that too alone.

She should have told me about it, she should have shared it with me, she should have trusted me.

But No problem! Now that she has been ignoring me. She must get a high punishment for this that explained why I was midway from Amino mansion. It was almost off timing and she was supposed to be in the house.

For me, It didn't matter who and what she was! Whether she was human or something else, I just know one thing that she was my kingdom and I was the only king. I pushed the accelerator and increased speed.

After reaching the mansion, I hopped out of the car and trudged inside the mansion straight towards her room. I climbed up the stairs and pushed the door open but my eyes met with the empty room. I looked at the time and it was 7 pm.

Why was she not home yet?

I pulled my phone out and dialed her number but it rang somewhere near me. I looked around suspiciously and spotted it on the bed.

Did it mean she is home?

I waited for more than 5 minutes and when she didn't come I thought that she might be in the crystal world. Giving one last look at her room, I came out of her room when two creatures from both sides tried their very best to make me deaf.

"WHERE IS MARIE? SHE IS IN DANGER!!!" Two voices screamed in unison then look at each other probably confused. Then they both pushed me aside and went inside her room.

"Guys! I'm not deaf but what's wrong with Marie?" I asked and looked at Bre and Walter. They both were looking worried.

"She is in problem, a very big problem," Bre said.

"Where is she?" His eyes were wide open and he looked pale. Marie's phone vibrated in my hand and I cut the call.

"Here it is!" I said to Walter and showed them her phone which I found on the bed.

"Shit!!! I shouldn't have left her alone." Walter said while Bre looked panicked as he was moving like a pendulum of a clock.

"Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! It's all my fault." Bre screamed with frustration and knocked a punch on the wall.

"What happened?" I asked, looking at both of their states.

"Are you both talking about the same dangerous thing?" I asked with my heart suddenly started to jump inside my chest. Then they both again looked at each other.

"I guess no! What is with you?" I asked Walter.

"She doesn't have Neogenesis." He said with a pale face and worried expressions.

"WHAT!?!?" Bre and I shouted together.

"Nothing." He said and caging his head on his hands, he closed his eyes. As if, trying to do focus on something.

"And with you?" I turned towards Bre unable to comprehend Walter's definition of danger.

"It's Darren." He said and gestured with his hands towards the stairs where a girl was standing.

"Darren is the blue-eyed guy and he wanted to kill all of us, especially Aminos."

"WHAT???" Walter and I shouted and look at that girl who was staring at us nervously. She had blonde hair and Chinese features and hazel eyes. She looked scared.

"I told you, I know that guy is creepy. But you guys never listened to me," I growled but looked at that girl confused. "Who is she? Don't tell me she is your girlfriend."

"Don't joke right now!" He glared at me and ran downstairs.

"Dinner!" I was about to run behind him when Walter screamed and ran with the fastest speed after Bre. Looking at them with confusion and anger I followed their move.

"Can you drive a little slow? Because if he wanted to kill her then no one can save her. He is psycho after his revenge." That girl started and I looked at her.

"Shut up! Just shut your little mouth before I'll do something to you!" I glared at her and turned my face towards Bre, "Why is she coming with us?" I pressured the word 'She' and asked Bre who was flying our car on the road. I was already having all kinds of bad thoughts and that girl's presence was bothering me more because he still didn't tell us who was she?

"Because we need to protect our only evidence," Bre said and increased the speed.

"I can't reach her. She has blocked me." Walter said and looked at us. "We need to find her as soon as possible." His voice was concerned in a brotherly manner.

"Just 10 more minutes," Bre said as he increased the acceleration more. The only thing we know almost 3 hours ago was she went to dinner with him. That jerk was the blue-eyed guy and only the thought of Marie with him was making me boil in anger.

If he tried to do anything with Marie then he won't be able to take his next breath alive. We were still thinking of a way to find her when suddenly my phone buzzed. I looked at it and found a voice note from Darren.

I clicked on the play button and his creepy voice echoed in the car, 'Catch me if you can! And... Save her if you can!' He said with a deep chuckle at the end.

As the note finished, I immediately traced his number and searched for his location. That place was somewhere near his father's sealed company. I gave the address to Bre and without wasting any second we were on our way.

Cops were also following us. Uncle Max was in one of those cop's cars. Different questions were swimming in my mind and why was Darren doing all of this was still a mystery for me. But deep down in my guts, I had a feeling that Uncle Max knew something about it.

My heart was somersaulting inside my chest and my stomach was feeling sick. I couldn't even bear the thought of losing her. Our car stopped with a screeching noise and without waiting for anyone, I jumped down the car and ran towards the only building in front of me.

I was on my way towards that old nasty building when a loud bamp echoed in the silent atmosphere. I stopped on my tracks and with wide eyes and heart near to burst out loud, when another bamp echoed, then another and one more and one more than the whole atmosphere fell silent.

My legs lost their strength and my knees touched the ground. I felt like my heart stopped beating. My brain was numb when I heard voices of some dogs barking at a distance and the sirens of cops' cars echoing in the air. I watched Walter ran inside and Bre after him. With the absent and present mental condition, I stood up and find myself ahead of them.

"Please, don't leave me alone!" I barely whispered to myself as a lone tear escaped my eyes.
