Chapter 33: Chapter 33

Marietta P.O.V

"You can't stop death because it's already written in our fate and fate is what always decided by God. So, stop blaming yourself." Mike said, trying his very best to comfort me and stopped me from crying.

For the last thirty minutes, I was just crying my heart out.

"But it's all my fault. Because of me now they can enter the guardian town anytime. It's all my fault!" My voice was full of guilt. I added sobbing badly, "Look...what they have done!"

"Shh, It's not your fault. Don't cry..." Bell whispered, giving me a side hug.

"Of course, it is..." I sobbed as more tears trailed down my cheeks.

Bell, Mike, and Peter were trying their best to calm me. But all their struggle went into a black hole, nothing could calm me right now. How could I calm down? My head was spinning and aching at the same time. It was all my fault. Bell and Mike were sitting on both of my sides while Peter was standing near the window, looking at something outside.

"Are you feeling guilty?" Peter asked before looking at me. Bell glared at him while Mike said, "What kind of a question is that?"

Ignoring both of them Peter came towards me and bent down in front of me. "Then stop crying and made them pay for what they've done." He said and I focused on what he just said. Made them pay?

How? How could I?

Before I could ask, he added, "Make yourself enough stable that no one can break you. Life and death is the main part of this game. Throne always wants sacrifice and this is a sacrifice that won't go useless. If you have accepted your fate then play with it, don't let it play with you."

I wiped my tears with the back of my hands. He was right, if I had accepted my fate then I had to become strong. No matter what will happen next. I wouldn't let it break me. I would make them pay for everything.

"This throne only belongs to you. This is yours, Princess Marietta." Bell said with a sweet warm smile.

The door of the room opened and we all looked at it. Walter came inside and looked at me.

"How are you feeling now?" He asked, coming towards me.

"A bit better." I looked at everyone before replying. I made them so much worried.

"Good to hear. By the way, you're looking so beautiful." He winked and I slightly smiled. Then he looked at Peter and informed him, "Everything is ready."

I was no more wearing my night outfits. I had already change into a beautiful gown, a Princess wear. It was a dusty-pink off-shoulder gown with the upper part was designed in long stings with beads falling till the waist. I was always a princess of Amino but right now a real princess tiara was fixed on my head, a beautiful and elegant golden tiara.

The girl who never wanted to become even an heir of a family business now she was a major shareholder and ready to compete for the chair, that girl was wearing a crown of a world, where people's life depends on her. Now, that girl was an official princess of two worlds, heir of two worlds, and ready to fight whatever fate will bring to her.

'From now onwards, that crown belongs to me and I'm ready to bear the burden.'

I stood up from my seat and straighten my dress and crown. Couldn't say anything, that it was the power of that crown or something else that made an unexpected transformation in me. They said one moment was enough to change your life. My life changed the moment when I decided to accept my fate. When I saw the soul-less body covered in so many wounds lying on the floor in front of me.

We saved Mike but in our absence that vampire committed an awful sin which made the whole Crystal world shuttered once again. She proved that she wanted that throne and will get it, at any cost.

Old master, the only person who could resolve some of my mysteries, was dead because of me. Because I was the one who broke the spell under Annabella's hypnotism.

I didn't want to recall the moment when we arrived at the old master house and what happened next. It still made a shiver ran down my spine. Old master's face had so many bruises and so many wounds on his body. His eyes were completely blue and his jaw clenched tight with eyes closed.

It was very heart aching to saw Mike in that condition. When Mike got conscious, he leaned his head on the master's chest and cried like a child. He cried just like I did when I found about Allessandro's death. Then Bell told me that he was the grandson of the old master's.

But they all made their self-stable as there was another person, who was crying badly and they had to console her. That person was me.

They told me about old master and royal guardians, that they were governing the affairs of guardian town. Because they didn't have Queen for 20 years, as same as my age. When I asked them, why? They told me they will give me every single detail but foremost I had to reveal myself to the people of guardian town.

They were terrified because of vampire queen Annabella but telling them that their princess was back, will give enough hope to them to forget about recent accidents. That's the reason why I was wearing princess wear.

I came out of the room with all the royal guardians walking behind on both of my sides. I felt like a princess. Of course, I was a princess but that feeling was something different like having goosebumps and unknown shivers all over your body and heart in a race.

It was something different, a unique feeling to me which I couldn't explain in words.

Sun was shining with all glory at the bright sky. We came out of the castle on the balcony. Below, in front of me, there were so many people. I was standing at the edge of the balcony and looking at them while they all were looking at me.

By figures, they all had elf ears and dressed in long gowns, giving a hint of the Ottoman Empire state.

Peter cleared his throat and started loudly, "My dear people of guardian town! Our promising fortune has arrived at our world. As Old Master had told us, " he stopped and gestured his hand towards me, "20 years had already passed and our princess, the real heir of the crystal world is standing in front of us. Daughter of Queen Teresa and King William..."

My heart stopped pumping and my breath clutched inside me. Daughter of who???

"She is our to be Queen and will protect us from Annabella. She comes here to protect us from the evil queen. Show your respect and welcome our princess, princess Marietta." Peter said loudly and authoritatively. They all bowed down their heads and touched their hearts with their fist of right hands in unison. While the beat of my heart increased rapidly.

"Touching heart with fists is a symbol that we are loyal to you with our soul and heart. Bowing our head down is a symbol that we respect you and can sacrifice our whole life to you." Walter explained. I didn't know how to respond so I nodded and slightly smiled.

While more questions bumped in my head. 'Who am I? What is my real identity? Who are my real parents? Most importantly, how am I going to stop Annabella and save them?'

********

I smiled at my reflection in the mirror. The aura of this room was always comforting to me. Of course, I spend my childhood here. It doesn't matter from where I belong or what my real identity was. This place was my house, my home.

I removed the crown from my head and hold it in my hands. Why life was so interesting yet so clumsy? Why sometimes it was hard to believe things?

I looked at the sky outside the window. There were sparks of lightning and the voice of thunder, indicating the coming rainstorm. About time so it was 9:00 pm.

I walked towards my walk-in closet and walked inside. After placing the crown behind some clothes I walked out. I was exhausted and tired. So, I turned off the light and stood in front of the window beside my bed. The only source of light was the lightning in the sky. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

Princess, Guardians, Vampires, and Immortals.

These words were spinning in my mind. Immortal... Immortals! Immortals describe who couldn't die...

Then how could old master die so easily?

I was so lost in my thoughts when the door of my room slammed open. Two figures came inside, switched the light on. I turned around and looked at them.

"God! Marie, what's on earth wrong with you? Why you always scare the shit out of me?" It was Veward who said each word with concern and worry dripping voice. I liked the way he cared for me but... What should I tell him? So I just smiled.

"Stop smiling. Where were you the whole day? Even your phone was powered off and..." He stopped and looked at me from head to toe. I followed his gaze and noticed that I was still in that gown. Thank God! I had already hidden the crown.

Bre pushed him aside and came forward, hugged me, and whispered in my ear, "Don't say anything. Let me have some fun." He pulled apart and winked at me. He must be going to do something stupid.

"Congratulations!" He said excitedly still facing me.

"Congratulations???" Veward asked confused.

"Yeah, she got married." He turned his face towards Veward.

"WHAT????" Veward screamed. For a moment, I thought that he might know about the Crystal world. I sighed.

"Yeah, wanna know with whom?" He said, stepping back to make a reasonable distance between him and Veward.

"Whom?" Veward constipated expressions were worthy of making anyone burst into laughter. I controlled my laugh hardly and looked at Bre to continue.

"The one and only DARREN WILSON..." He said and I choked the air, surprised by his choice of the person. But Veward face was showing so many expressions at a time. He looked at me and asked, "Really?"

Bre behind him shook his head to me so that I could say yes!!!

"Really," I said with an innocent face and tried to make my face as straight as I could. But looking at his next expression, Bre and I burst into laughter.

"You two..." Veward warned and Bre ran. They both ran like Tom and Jerry in my room. Veward threatened, "You want me to inefficient you for tomorrow's fight."

Tomorrow fight! Yeah, this world had its own issues. That blue-eyed guy. We had to find him plus I had to do some research on vampires and immortals. Maybe I could learn something from the ancient book of vampires and immortals.

Our library had an old and ancient-looking book, I never read it because I wasn't a fantasy reader so never read such kind of books. But now maybe... I found some useful pieces of work in that book.

***********

Annabella P.O.V

"You are totally insane," Isabella said and I raised my left eyebrow at her.

"Seriously?" I asked with less interest.

"Yes. You went to the guardian town and come back silently. You should have wiped them right away." She angrily stated unaware of my deeds and plans.

"Listen. Firstly, I'm in a good mood so I forgive you for calling me insane. Secondly, I went there to do some deeds." I smirked. "So wait till the consequence come out."

"Whatever!" She rolled her eyes.

Joseph came on right time and said smiling proudly, "Your highness! I've done my work." A huge smile appeared on my face and made my beauty more stunning.

"What?" A dumb asked dumbfounded.

"Mathew. He was the one who knew about everything. So..." I sipped my heaven. A creepy and victorious smile made its way on my lips.

"You killed their Old master, you killed their old master Mathew?" Isabella asked shockingly. I smirked.

But my smile disappeared when Tom came in a hurry and spilled nonsense, "Your highness! They have rescued him. I am so sorry but they had controlled my mind..."

And I knocked the glass on his face. Without listening to anything further I zeroed near him and clung my hand to his neck. He struggled but all in vain, just a few seconds were enough to end his game. His body touched the ground with a thug.

"How is this possible? As much as I know guardian can't control minds." Isabella said and I glared at her. A signal to shut her mouth if she ever loved her life.

Through she was right. Guardians couldn't control the mind. They couldn't control minds. Then how could it happen?

I screamed with anger and frustration, making the glass of the window shattered into pieces.
