“What the crap? You did an MBA from a top university and had years of experience, but you want to be a clerk!! Are you out of mind?” She shouted in anger.

“It’s all I got from Nathalia. I want something on my own,” He said emotionlessly.

“Own! Don’t you got any better job than that!” She asked sarcastically.

“I know only about business,” He said in a stubborn tone.

“Hush!! think Enzo, you can find something best!” She encouraged him.

“Why can’t you join my business work for me if you like?“ She requested.

“I know teaching. Shall I join some school?” He asked them.

“No way!!” Mia shouted out in horror, which shocked both her father and him.

“What?”

“You first drop that idea!! I will never let you back to teaching. I will give any job but not that,” She said in a hurry which confused both.

Soon realization caught Enzo.

“You both carry on, I had some work.” Her dad made an excuse and left them alone.

“We are married,” He said with a smile.

“But girls talk a lot of things, you don’t know it. Ok fine, join as my Secretary!!” She suggested to him.

“No, I want something on my own,” He objected.

“Look, you said you will do anything and everything that night.” She pouted with fake tears sitting on the couch facing another side.

“Don’t cry Mia.” He sat beside her trying to convince.

“You lied again, you’re not listening!!” She yanked his hands with fake anger.

“Ok fine, I will join your firm.” He accepted her deal.

“Oh, really” She jumped on him with excitement. He was surprised seeing her reaction.

“So, you faked those tears!“ He asked with a pout.

“No, I really cried look my tears” She faked a sad pout.

“Not visible,” He said looking at her.

“Do you miss my tears!!” She again started her drama.

“Oh, God!!” He Murmured in disbelief.

Next day,

Enzo is staying very away from Mia. He started being alone in the room, thinking about his past.

“Your existence is only with me, you're nothing without me,” His mom’s words are echoing in his ears.

He woke up with a jerk. He cleared out his face and got ready to attend his first day of office as her assistant.

“Enzo, you're just Enzo, you're no more Ferdinan.” He said to himself, looking at the mirror.

He removed his blazer and dropped it on the bed.

“A normal assistant don’t need a suit,” He said himself and walked out in just normal pants ad formal shirt tucked in. She is surprised seeing him causal.

“Are you coming to office?” She asked with confusion.

“Yep, we will leave after breakfast,” He told her occupying his seat.

“Then your blazer?” She questioned.

“I was an assistant now, it’s not needed!!” He told her, having a bite from his breakfast.

“Your insane,” She scolded him.

“No, I’m human,” He chuckled, making her laugh.

They had breakfast and left to the office together after bidding a bye to Rio. Office, As they entered, Everyone wished them good morning. She reciprocated it with a smile.

“Where should I sit?” He asked her, walking behind her. She guided him to her cabin, and he followed her obediently.

“Your mine!!” She said in a possessive tone. He glared at her in surprise.

“I mean my assistant, you will stay in my cabin beside me and will assist me all whole day and night also.” She whispered in a low tone, blushing like a tomato.

“With you? Shall I ask a doubt mam?” He asked in a calm tone.

“What?”

“Are you taking revenge on me?” He asked doubtfully.

“Yes, of course, it’s just starting hubby,” She smirked.

“Ok, I deserve it!” He said forcing a smile.

“Awww..... I’m not that evil, my handsome hubby!! You’re my sweet devil and I want you only with me!!” She said in a possessive tone which made him smile.

“Work?” He asked her.

“Just a second!” She left towards the locker and got a file.

She placed it on the edge of the table for him.

“This file has all details of Tender, and your job is to estimate the value and submit it by Friday.” He allotted work and occupied her chair. Enzo felt happy and started working with full focus. 3 hours later, They are focused on their works respectively when it’s disturbed by a phone call. She responded. Caller: Miss. Mia, we have canceled your project!” They informed, making her shock.

“What!!” She shouted, getting up from her chair.

“We can’t work with you, sorry” The caller informed hanging up the call.

She took a minute to digest the fact.

“What happened?” He asked in confusion.

“Nothing!! Just some random call.” She lied to him and left out of the cabin.

She made a call to her business personals and ordered them to find a reason. By the end of the day, she lost 8 of her top projects and it’s wiped off her profit by 50%. She got a clear report that it’s all because of Nathalia Ferdinan. She kept this away from Enzo. Enzo completed that tender in the day and filed it with a lot of hope.

“Can we get it, Mia?“ He asked with a tensed tone.

“Of course, you own billions, and this is just 20millions one,” She said proudly.

But their hopes went in veins as she got the news that they lost tender. Because of Nathalia, he lost that tender. She understood very well that she can’t survive in the business world. It’s just a few days left for her destruction.

“What are you thinking?” He asked her.

As always, she cut it off.

“We lost this also?” He asked her a straight question.

“What? no nothing like that?” She tried to lie again.

He grabbed her laptop and opened her mails.

“Then this?” He asked, showing her mails.

“That!! That..” She stammered, finding some words to reply to him but nothing coming out as she was caught with proofs.

“Answer!!” He demanded.

She remained silent, gulping down her lumps in the throat.

“Why you started lying to me? Why? I know because of me all this happened!! I’m incapable!!” He blamed himself.

“What? Just stop blaming yourself!!” She yelled in anger, trying to calm him. He was broken totally.

“It’s not right, because of me your career is getting disturbed!! Because of me!!” He cried, falling on his knees.

“Stop it, Enzo!! Just stop it,” She shouted, making him stand.

“Then say why this will happen?” He asked sobbing like a baby.

“Yes, it’s all because of your mother. So, what you will do?” She scowled in anger being upset seeing him weak.

“I will leave!” He said expressionlessly.

She gifted him a tight slap on his cheek, making him wince in pain. It’s harder than all the slaps he got before.

“I just hate you!! I just hate this Enzo, who is behaving like a crowd!! Who is feeling himself incapable!!” She shouted in tears.

“Then what shall I do, Mia!!” He asked hopelessly.

“Can you live without me?” She asked, looking into his eyes.

“Hmm, I don’t want you to fail because of me!!” He added, lowering his eyes.

“I asked, can you live without me?” She asked, raising his chin to face her.

“It’s not a point!!” He snapped, turning another side.

She grabbed him by his shirt collar and sealed her lips with his, making him shock. He left unresponded by her sudden move. She kissed him furiously, pouring out her all feelings on him. She nipped his lower lip between hers, pulling him closer fisting his hair which turned him on badly. He started responding to her with equal passion. She has broken the kiss intentionally and pushed him away.

“Now your free go!!” She said panting.

“What?” He asked breathing heavily.

“Yes, you wanted to leave, and I gave a goodbye kiss!“ She chuckled with a smirk.

“You can’t do it!!” He complained like a kid.

“What I did? It’s you who wanted to leave, and I accepted!!” She asked faking innocence.

“Hmmm, please.” He pleaded.

“Please what?” She asked with a smirk.

“I want you, I go stay away from you” He confessed.

“Late reputation hubby, I fixed already. You should leave hubby,” She said in a seducing tone.

“Why are you forcing me, I said, I will not leave!!” He shouted like a stubborn kid.

“No, you decided, right? Even I came on that conclusion. Go enjoy your single life,” She teased him more.

“Please” He pouted.

“What you want now?” She asked, folding her hands close to her chest.

“You!” He said with a cute smile.

“Really, then you should solve one small problem and make a promise.” She demanded which he obeyed.

“What promise?”

“Promise me that you will never be like this, I want my monster Enzo who used to scare others, not this stupid who cries!!” She asked him.

“Ok, but the problem?”

“Problem!! Hmm, come sit I will explain.” She said gesturing the couch.

She sat next to him, holding his hand.

“Enzo, the problem is someone is trying to destroying you, in this case, if you are my Enzo he used to deal it very great and teach the best lesson. But here I have some new one!! You say what you want to do!!! Runaway or fight back?” She explained, which made him think.

“Do you have any idea?” He asked her.

“Idea for running away or fighting back?” She gave a pace.
