I enjoyed my chat with Mrs. Liam on the way. She’s a fun person, like my mom, she has lots of topics for us to talk about without getting bored. When I arrived at the apartment where he lived, Mrs. Liam offered to let me in and I guess a quick stop at his place would be fine for me. I also want to know what he looks like when he’s at home. From the outside, this apartment looks ordinary, but the atmosphere inside is much better than what it looks like from the front.

“Mr Valentino suggested me this place, at first I wanted to refuse because it was too expensive, but he said he would pay for it.”

I drove my car to Eden’s cafe, I need a friend to share my story with. Sean’s attitude that can change quickly is still a little hard for me to accept, like today, he really is like a rollercoaster. Arriving at the cafe, Eden and Carmen greeted me, Carmen gave me a warm hug. We also sat at one of the tables located in the corner of this cafe with comfortable sofas.

“How are you??”

“Would you like something to eat, sweetheart?”

Carmen offered to order something before she left us. I said I wanted to eat cheesecake, and he with a smiling face walked away.

“Don’t worry him with your stubborn attitude Ana, there’s nothing wrong if you stay a little away from the problem at hand, it keeps you safe and out of danger.”

I pondered, it wasn’t the first time I’d been faced with a situation like this. Do I have control over my life as long as I marry her?? My Inner Goddess shrugged her shoulders with a sour face, while my senses looked up while taking a deep breath, the look on her face said ‘your life is in her hands now’ I sat for two hours with Eden in the cafe, talking about changing topics, after that I went home with half-lifted inner burden. I entered the apartment in silence, the living room light was still on, no one was there, it was 9 pm. Someone hugged my waist from behind, pushed my hair to my left shoulder and kissed my neck.

“I almost called the police if the tracker in your car didn’t work.”

I smiled weakly, luckily he didn’t do that.

“You can die young from worrying too much.”

There was a heavy laugh on my neck, his breath tickled the skin of my neck, my hands moved to grab a few strands of hair, then pulled his head back so that his face was away from mine, then I turned my body to face him, my hands intertwined behind his neck.

“At least I died worrying about my wife.”

“You didn’t ask where I was from?” I wonder, usually he asks about this.

“No, I already know where you are today, you want to eat something?” I nodded with a forced smile, I knew he was trying to distract me, but I promised I would get what I wanted from him even if I had to argue again, again, and again with him. Isn’t that our habit? My senses nodded in agreement. I sat at the bar, watching him cook something.

“How’s Oslo?”

My Inner Goddess peeked out of the Fifty Shades Gray novel she was reading with a wary look.

“Everything is fine.”

“Really? You wouldn’t have left in such a bad mood when things were settled.”

“No, honey, don’t lie, I know there’s something wrong with your office.”

I looked at him with his back to me while chopping vegetables. We were silent. Then, he was busy preparing boiling water for the vegetables he had cut earlier.

“Ariel stole some documents from Oslo and injured one of my employees.”

I twisted my fingers as fear ran like an electric shock through my body.

“How did he get in?”

“Disguised as a company technician, the incident happened a week ago.”

My brain is digesting the information quickly, the fire at my father-in-law’s company must be because of this. But, is this the only problem?? There must be another problem. The smell of the food distracts me from thinking about the matter. Sean served macaroni corn soup in front of me, then we ate together. Then Sam came to interrupt us, he was standing next to Sean carrying an ivory paper folder.

“Sir, the information about Ariel William is complete, he is from the same school as you, sir.”
