Mama looked at me with a melancholy state, I rolled my eyes when she came over and hugged me, she has been like this since my wedding started this morning, I feel her eyes are puffy and her nose is red. I can’t hide my sadness either, she’s the only person who will stay with me when everyone leaves me. Mama unwrapped her arms and looked at me with teary eyes, we smiled goofy as we stared at each other. Caroline came to interrupt us, she was confused by our situation, then she came over to me and I moved to hug her.

“We will always be with you, no matter where Sean takes you, Home is always home baby.” Caroline smiled and my tears didn’t stop, like a broken faucet. Rani came closer so we were like a girl group, they all embraced me.

“We’re a family now, I’m happy about that.” Rani sincerely said it and once again mama cried, we all laughed because we saw how crybaby my mama was, oh! My mama is a crybaby, but very caring and independent.

“Mam, already, don’t cry, this is not a funeral, this is a wedding, home is always home and I always be your daughter,” I said trying to stop her melancholy state which I thought was too much. Rani and Caroline helped undo my hairdo, took off my tiara and tulle, then they took off my hairdo.

“Have you seen Sean? He seems to be enjoying his chat with a woman.” Caroline spoke up, oh no! Don’t talk about Sean and his damn ex-girlfriend, I’m trying to anticipate the attacks of what I’m going to hear and feel when I’m about to talk about this. Rani snorted, it was obvious that she really didn’t like the woman named Atika.

“That bitch is his ex-girlfriend.” Rani said that with a very clear tone of hostility, so I wanted to know how bad the consequences for this woman were due to what she did to Sean.

“What?? His ex-girlfriend?? But he still seems very interested.” Caroline removed one of my hairpins.

My heart seemed to break into pieces when I heard Caroline’s assumption. I stared blankly at my reflection in the mirror, my Inner Goddess lost her balance and fell to her knees as she tripped over her dress at the bottom, while my senses hid under the thick blanket.

“I’ll skin him if he wants to get back with that woman.” Rani is like an evil witch who likes to torture humans sadly, sounds terrible when she is angry. My mind is paralyzed, I can’t think of the pain any further or think of anything positive that can motivate me. I don’t know how long I sat like a dead man, Rani’s shock on my body brought me back from the middle of nowhere I had just visited.

“Are you okay? Don’t worry dear, if Sean dares to hurt you physically or mentally, I will make his life hell for the rest of his life.”

I look at Rani through the mirror, I’m happy that everyone wants to protect me from the betrayal that Sean can do to me at any time, I try to smile, but my face feels stiff. This feeling is new to me, so this is how it feels when someone we love betrays us??

Wait, did I just say someone we love?? Have I fallen in love with him??

My Inner Goddess looked at me with disdain, then she got up and sat on her red soft sofa. I bite my lip, it’s so fast, but can love come this fast?? Is this love, or am I just afraid of losing him and afraid of being alone again?? Caroline and Rani finished with my hair, they told me to stand up, Rani stood behind me to unzip my dress, at the same time Sean came in, we all looked at him, the atmosphere was silent for a while, until my mom’s cell phone broke the silence, mom went out to take a phone call.

“Done with that woman? I thought you’d go and spend some time with her.” Rani waved her war flag, turned my face so as not to stare at Sean, there was a small stab in my heart, my Inner Goddess jumped from her sofa.

“I want to be alone with my wife, and keep your hands off her dress, I’ll get her out of it myself.”

Calm, controlled, cold and intimidating, the atmosphere turned tense in this room.

“So now you remember your wife? Where have you been for the past two hours??” Rani snapped. My throat seemed to have a very large lump from resisting the onslaught of emotions that were trying to escape.

“I don’t want you to interfere with my household too, Rani, leave us alone or I will drag Ariana with my own hands.”

A frightening threat, Sean could have killed someone with his words and the way he spoke. Caroline and Rani gave up, they took turns hugging me before leaving, my eyes followed the two women out until they disappeared behind the door.

Silence was created between us for a few seconds before Sean exhaled heavily and then came over to me, our eyes locked with each other, I felt a very clear wave of feelings created between us. Sean stood right in front of me without a distance, then grabbed my chin and kissed me. As he deepens the kiss I wrap my arms around his neck, the next second my defenses falter.

Not! Not now! Don’t cry now, Ariana.

I cast the spell to keep away the emotions that would come out through these tears. When our kiss ended, Sean’s golden net seemed to glow and sent magical vibrations deep into my soul.

He pressed his forehead to mine and closed his eyes, and so did I.

“Sorry,” he said quietly, and I felt sorry was not enough, I wanted an explanation. Sean exhaled through his mouth, I could smell a sweet aroma, it seemed, he had finished a few sips of Wine, I don’t know how much he drank, the smell bothered my sense of smell.

“I got carried away, I promise it won’t happen again.”

I can’t say a single word, can I believe it? What if later I was in a state of need, but instead he was with Atika? Will he choose and put me first?? Caroline’s assumption replayed in my mind, it was very disturbing.

“Does she mean much to you?” My Inner Goddess gave me a glaring look at that question, then her gaze turned contemptuous at me, I was like stabbing a knife into my own heart. Sean slightly moved his face away from mine, we looked at each other, he looked confused as could be seen from his slightly furrowed brow.

“What?” I asked not understanding. What’s this? He doesn’t understand how he feels about her or what?

“The answer to your question is very difficult,” he said, and I was struck by surprise, then flustered. This was beyond my expectations, my Inner Goddess was lying lazily on her soft sofa, while my senses stared at me with an incomprehensible look.

“I’ll answer your question later because I haven’t gotten the right answer yet.”

“Not yet??” I said quickly, I couldn’t hold back my curious tongue and common sense, My Inner Goddess changed her lying position facing forward, like she was watching a Korean drama movie. I backed away slowly with small steps, Sean looked at me with a scratched look.

“You just have to say yes or no, it’s not a difficult question,” I said starting to get angry. His gaze changed, softened a bit, he put both hands in his pants pockets, his shoulders dropped as he exhaled heavily.

“Our relationship was complicated after we ended up in a romantic relationship.”

“Complicated?” I’m getting frustrated now, I roll my eyes because I’m tired of this debate but also angry at the answer.

“She’s your ex-girlfriend, and you’re saying your relationship with him is complicated? What kind of complicated relationship exists between ex-girlfriends??” My voice went up an octave, I walked over to the bed and sat on the edge, then furiously tried to take off the higheels that were still on my feet, but unfortunately I lost concentration in trying to take them off, damn it! These higheels, my mind is messed up I’m like a storm ready to rage.

“Curse! These highels!” The curse finally came out, a pair of hands helped me, the movement of the hands on my higheels stopped, I looked at Sean who helped remove this cursed object from my feet. Straightening my body, then folding my arms in front of my chest, I turned my face so that it was in line with my right shoulder.

“Ariana, look at me.”

I ignored his orders, I wanted to debate this matter with him.

“You have beautiful feet,” he complimented, I felt him gently caress my feet and send sensations throughout my body. My gaze quickly turned to him. Sean lifted his face, and looked at me with a smile full of mystery, but seductive, his golden eyes slowly darkening, my heart responded to the gaze. My Inner Goddess bit her lower lip sexyly, then she ran her touch to my calf slowly. I gasped with desire that suddenly came like lightning. Sean stopped then stood up, I automatically looked up at him then he bent down and locked me with his sturdy arms by my side in a bent position, his face level with mine.

“Make love to me, Ariana.”

Those words were like the devil’s whisper to Eve as she was about to eat the forbidden fruit in heaven, sounding sweet and full of sensual promise. That desire quickly awakened within me. I was surprised when Sean wrapped one of his arms around my waist, bringing me closer to him. An unexpected attack came upon me, another hot kiss craved from him, my senses fainted in its place, while my Inner Goddess was snoring on the sofa fast asleep, one thing will happen, I will make love to Sean now, here and surrender myself completely.
