Chapter 8: Chapter 8
Cakra couldn't remember what his biological father looked like. His grandmother said that his father was a kind and generous person, who lived a simple life and did not like excessive things. But unfortunately, Cakra couldn't rely on his memory. His father died eleven years ago, when he was only six years old, due to an accident. He really doesn't have any memory of his father.
What he did remember was when his mother remarried a rich man when he was in the second grade of elementary school. He remembers that day very well. The day he got a new father and brother. It was fun at first, but not after his mother died of brain cancer.
Since then, his life has changed drastically, especially when his stepfather left with his son without him. Cakra was pushed aside, like an item that was no longer needed. His stepfather handed him over to his grandmother.
And today Cakra did not expect that he would be reunited with his half-brother in the school parking lot earlier after not seeing each other for about a ... He doesn't know, Cakra doesn't remember the last time he met his half-brother. But certainly, it was a very long time ago.
Cakra's relationship with his half-brother could not be said to be good. They had been enemies for a long time.
"Hey, you've been daydreaming." A voice followed by a fairly hard pat on the shoulder made Cakra laugh. Blinking slowly, Cakra turned to Zidan, who was looking at him confused.
"What?"
"Why are you daydreaming? Are you thinking about the fight you had with your senior in the parking lot this morning?" Zidan asked.
Cakra let out a long breath, then nodded slowly. Lying was pointless at the moment. Cakra was indeed thinking about it.
"Eat it, you're dead!"
He widened his eyes.
"What are you fighting with him for anyway? Do you want to be the hero here? Fight in the boxing ring instead."
Cakra had no intention of replying to Zidan's words. He was too lazy to explain something. The boy chose to stand up from his seat, then walked out of the class with hasty steps. Cakra wanted to calm down wherever it was, as long as no one else disturbed him. And the library was the first place that popped into his head.

Ghea's words made Inez choke on the meatball soup. She coughed for a while, then quickly took a sip of her orange juice.
"What did you say?" Inez asked again, making sure that her ears were still functioning properly. She focused on Ghea, who was swallowing her meatball.
"Rian got into a fight with that new boy," Ghea answered honestly.
Inez glared, surprised by the information. "How did you know that? When was the fight?"
"There's a lot of talk about this," Ghea said, stuffing another meatball into her mouth. The girl with glasses spoke again. "They said it was in the parking lot, but I don't know. I didn't see what happened."
Suddenly, Inez had no appetite for meatballs. She looked down while imagining Cakra fighting with his seniors. Inez knew very well what kind of person Rian was. Vindictive and powerful. Rian was the most feared person here.
Inez was once shot by Rian, but Inez flatly refused. She didn't like that boy. Even though his looks were okay and his style was cool. But that didn't guarantee that Inez would melt. Even today, Rian is still approaching her openly. And actually, there was another reason behind it all, but Inez chose to keep quiet and would discuss it at the right time.
"What made them fight?" Inez asked quietly, returning her attention to Ghea, who knew that her soup bowl was gone, unlike Inez's, which was still full.
"I don't know about that." Ghea shrugged her shoulders indifferently. "But they said that the new boy started hitting Rian's stomach first. Then Rian got angry, but the new boy just left. I don't know if that information is true."
Inez nodded in understanding. "There's no way he would hit if there was no reason."
Ghea looked around, then began to bring her face closer to Inez's. She whispered softly, "Do you have a crush on that new boy?"
To Ghea, Inez never covered anything up. She would speak as honestly as her heart would tell her. Inez trusted Ghea. That's why she would tell her best friend anything.
"Yes, I've liked her since we first met," Inez said honestly.
"Wow!" Ghea opened her mouth while looking at Inez in disbelief. "Seriously Nez, do you already like him? Where do you want to go with Rian?"
"I don't like him!" Inez glared and gritted her teeth in annoyance. She rolled her eyes.
"Just tell me if you don't like Rian," Ghea joked with a chuckle.
But Inez took it seriously. "Just pick it up, I don't need it."
"Rian is really handsome and cool, but you'll regret it later. Rian seems to have a big crush on you. You can imagine for yourself that Rian's struggle for you has never waned. He's never tired of trying to win your heart. What girl wouldn't want that?"
"I don't want to," Inez replied sarcastically.
"Just once in a while, Nez, think about it carefully, or at least open your heart a little for Rian. If you feel like it's a good fit, keep going. If it's not suitable, just ask for a breakup. How about my suggestion? You can try it."
"No!"
Ghea's lips twitched. "Whatever you want, I'm dizzy. By the way, why don't you eat your soup?"
Inez lowered her gaze, staring at the soup, which still had plenty left. She took a rough breath. "I'm not interested anymore, do you want some?"
"For me?" Ghea's eyes lit up.
"Yes, just finish it."
"Here, I'm still hungry."
According to what her best friend said, Inez moved her bowl of soup to Ghea.
Ghea looked happy. Meanwhile, Inez immediately looked at Ghea in amazement. How could Ghea's stomach fit two bowls of soup? Inez shook her head, unable to think.
"Nez?"
"Hmm."
"What do you like about the new boy?" While munching on her baccarat again, Ghea watched Inez, who was thinking.
"I don't know, I just like it."
"That's not it! There's no reason."
"I'm still confused myself, but somehow I'm sure that my feelings for him are in my heart. When I first saw him, I already had a feeling that I was compatible with him."
"It's perfect, he's handsome, you're beautiful too. But are you sure you fell in love that quickly? You just met him for the first time."
"Just ask my heart why I can like this boy so fast. And you have to know, Ghe, this is not the love stage yet, just like it. For me, this boy is .... Interesting."
"Interesting?" Ghea looked at Inez while squinting her eyes. "Explain what part of him attracts you?"
"Even though I don't know him well, I'm sure he's a good person. Anyway, you wouldn't understand."
"Do you know his name?"
Inez nodded firmly with a big smile. "Cakra."
