Chapter 46: Chapter 46

Confused by the unexpected question that came out of his grandmother's lips, Cakra immediately racked his brains to find an excuse so that this slightly sensitive topic for him was immediately replaced. Luckily, his brain was willing to support him at the moment. He had a good idea.

"Grandma, I just got home from work. I'm really hungry, what are you cooking today?" Cakra asked his grandmother, really hoping that the previous topic would soon be buried. He looked at his grandmother, waiting for an answer.

Grandma's smile slowly appeared. "I've cooked vegetable soup. With fried food, there's chili too. Is that your favorite?"

In his heart, Cakra exclaimed happily because he managed to divert his grandmother's conversation. He glanced at Inez, who was beside his grandmother. Inez looked at Cakra as she smacked her lips, then her eyes rolled lazily. Cakra knew that Inez must have realized that he was trying to change the direction of the conversation. But he didn't care about that.

"That's really delicious, my favorite. Did you eat it?"

She shook her head. "Not yet, I'm waiting for you to come home first."

"Alright, let's eat together. Can I invite Inez?" asked Cakra.

Grandma glanced at Inez for a moment. "Yes, that's fine. I'd really like that. Come on, let's eat together."

Inez grimaced softly, feeling very bad. "Is it okay?" she asked in a soft accent. Inez grinned softly after that.

Grandma gently rubbed Inez's shoulder. "It's really okay, I'd be happy if you joins me and Cakra. Incidentally, I'm cooks a lot of fried food. Want some?"

There was no reason for Inez to refuse the offer. Her stomach had yet to be filled, and hearing the food mentioned by her grandmother just now made Inez swallow. It sounded really good. Inez had not tasted food like that for too long. It felt like her tongue had forgotten how the food tasted. Inez really wanted this.

"Well, I haven't eaten yet either. If you doesn't mind, I will eat too." Inez laughed softly at the end of her sentence.

"Don't be shy with me," said grandma while stroking Inez's long hair gently and carefully. "Let's eat now."

"Come on, Grandma!" Cakra exclaimed excitedly. He stood up from his seat first, followed by Inez. Seeing Grandma, who had a little trouble standing up, Inez immediately helped her.

Afterward, Inez was led to the kitchen by her grandmother. The kitchen was small and narrow. It was very different from Inez's luxurious kitchen. The girl looked around her. There was only one lamp, and it wasn't bright.

"Come on, Nez, sit down." Cakra tapped Inez on the shoulder after pulling out a chair. Inez nodded slowly, She sat right next to Cakra.

Immediately, the grandmother opened the serving hood in front of her. Instantly, the fragrant smell was overwhelming. Inez blinked her eyes. In front of her, there was food that really made her saliva almost spill. Inez couldn't stand it, she wanted to eat immediately.

"Cakra, get a plate and rice for Inez," his grandmother ordered in a low voice.

"Yes, Grandma," said Cakra. Immediately, the boy stood up from his seat and took three plates, then filled them with rice. After finishing, Cakra shared it with Inez and his grandmother. Also for himself.

"Is that less or more Nez?" Cakra sat more sideways, looking at Inez with one eyebrow raised. Waiting for an answer from Inez.

Inez smiled, then replied. "No, it's just right. If it's not enough, I can get it myself." Inez grinned widely as she whispered to Cakra.

He nodded slowly. "Okay."

"Come on, take the side dish. Don't be shy with me, take a lot. There's chili sauce too, you dosn't like chili sauce? Or don't you like spicy?"

"Spicy? Don't ask that. I'm the champion of eating spicy food. I love it, in fact, I very happy." Inez answered with great enthusiasm. Making grandma's smile even wider.

The three of them focused on their respective meals in the small kitchen. Inez did not expect that her grandmother Cakra's cooking was really delicious, not inferior to food in fancy restaurants. Even though it was only simple food, the flavor made Inez shake her head in amazement. Moreover, once fried food dipped with tomato chili sauce, once hit her mouth, Inez feels like floating. So delicious!

In fact, unexpectedly, Inez added another spoonful of rice. It made Cakra smile to see Inez eating so heartily. In fact, Cakra was quite unfocused on his own food because he kept watching Inez, who was busy with her own food.

"Grandma, it's really good!" Inez praised her as she held the fried food in her hand. "Especially the chili sauce, I really like it." Inez openly showed that she liked Cakra's grandmother's cooking.

Now, there was only one fritter left on the plate, so Inez grabbed it before Cakra moved quickly first. "For me?" Inez grinned again. Cakra just nodded. For some reason, Cakra likes Inez to be here, in his house, in his grandmother's house. She liked that Inez got to know her grandmother easily. And I liked that Inez wasn't shy or showing that she didn't feel at home here. One more thing, Cakra feels that Inez's presence in his house makes him even more convinced that she really likes him, without any conditions.

Thinking about it made him giggle, and he was attacked by his own embarrassment. His cheeks were red, and he shook his head slowly. Why is his mind suddenly wandering?

Cakra was actually still a little unsure about his feelings for Inez. Or maybe he was actually afraid himself? Afraid that Inez is just playing around and not serious. Cakra didn't know. Sometimes he felt Inez's presence beside him made him comfortable, but sometimes he was a little annoyed if Inez bothered him with her questions and bluntness.

"Do you like Grandma's cooking?"

"I really like it, Grandma! At home, I'm rarely eats like this. My mother rarely cooks," Inez answered the question that Cakra's grandmother asked.

Understandably, Grandma Inez is rich. Her house is really big," Cakra said later, which Inez immediately rewarded with a glint in her eye.

Feeling that there was nothing wrong with his words, Cakra then defended himself. "Why did you win? It's not wrong, right?"

"If that's the case, you must be uncomfortable here, right? I'm so sorry."

Inez became confused herself. Inez hurriedly shook her head firmly. No, Inez felt comfortable in this house. Inez did not feel disturbed. Inez even liked it more than anything, especially since she had just tasted her grandmother Cakra's cooking, which was so delicious.

Without thinking anymore, Inez immediately denied it. "No, Grandma, I like it here. I doen't mind. Moreover, I'm already eating here. I'm so comfortable. If I may, I will come here again sometime."

"I'm happy to hear that, and I'm grateful that you like my cooking. If you comes here again, I promise I'll cook something delicious for you."

"Then I will come often." Inez laughed softly, followed by a soft chuckle from her grandmother. Cakra just smiled.

"That's fine."

"Oh yeah, Nez, let's wash our hands. So we're leaving, right?" He asked.

Inez just remembered that her purpose in coming here was to ask Cakra out on a date. With a nod of her head as an answer, Inez complied. Until finally, now both of them are standing in front of the front door.

"Grandma, I want to take Inez for a walk, so I can take her home."

"Do you want to take Inez by bike?"

"No, Gran, Inez's car is at the restaurant. I'll just take her there."

Grandma nodded her head. "Be careful. Don't speed on the bike," she warned.

"Alright, I'll go first, Grandma." Cakra immediately shook his grandmother's hand, followed by Inez later.

Inez, go home first, grandma." While saying goodbye, Inez kissed Cakra's grandmother's palm. "I promise, I'll come here again sometime and talk to you. I also thanks you for troubling her earlier."

"What bothered you?"

"Just now, grandma." Inez gave a small grin.

"Well, it's not that much of a hassle. I'm actually happy."

After that, Cakra and Inez left the house and got on their bikes. Out for a walk, just like Inez wanted. For a few seconds, silence crept between them. Inez locked her mouth, staring at her surroundings. Meanwhile, Cakra himself, desperately thought about finding a topic of conversation so that the silence that ambushed him would soon disappear. It was not good to keep silent like this.

"Oh yeah, Nez, where do you want to go?" Cakra asked without looking at Inez, he focused on looking ahead, towards the streets that were minimally lit.

Inez spontaneously answered, too quickly. "Wherever you want to take me, I'll just follow."

"Seriously, is it up to me, Nez?" Cakra confirmed.

"Yes, just relax. "I'll follow you," Inez said from behind, making Cakra nod his head.

"I liked how you got along with Nez's grandma, I thought you'd be uncomfortable at grandma's house."

"Why would I be uncomfortable? Well, your house isn't big, but it's comfortable. In fact, I'm very relaxed. Moreover, your grandmother is nice, she seems really happy to talk to me, especially when it's about you."

Cakra glared widely. "That's right! Then I was right that you two were talking about me while I was in the shower. What were you talking about? Must be something bad, huh?"

Inez chuckled softly, slowly pinching Cakra's waist. "No need to ask, let it be my secret with your grandmother. And you don't have to be afraid, what I talk about with your grandmother is not something bad about you. Did I talk about your badness in front of your own grandmother? How crazy am I?" Inez laughed softly.

"Well, who knows?" Cakra shrugged his shoulders. He then looked back slightly. "But honestly, I really enjoy seeing my grandmother smile and laugh when I'm with you. Why don't you come home sometime?"

Inez tightened her hug on Cakra's stomach, then she pressed her cheek on Cakra's broad back. Inez gave Cakra a big smile and nodded. "I'm happy too, talking to your grandmother makes me comfortable. Especially when she calls me beautiful, it makes my heart blossom." Inez chuckled softly and said, "I'd like to stop by your house again sometime. Didn't I already tell your grandmother about this? I promised."

"I like you more and more." Cakra spoke in a low voice. A second later, he realized what his lips had just said. He held his breath as he blinked his eyes. What had he just said?

He swallowed, hoping that Inez didn't hear what he just said. He was ashamed and embarrassed. His cheeks suddenly felt hot.

"What did you just say?" Inez provoked Cakra, she slightly moved her face forward, hoping to see the look on Cakra's face right now. Inez's soft laughter filled the air. Obviously, she really heard what Cakra said just now. But, Inez just wanted to make sure.

"No!" Cakra denied it as he shook his head firmly. "I didn't say anything, you heard me wrong!"

"Really?"

"Yes, you heard me wrong. I didn't say anything."

Cakra denied it again. For a moment he felt calmer because Inez didn't seem to hear what he said, but the next second Cakra felt like drowning himself in a wide and deep sea, Inez tightened her embrace, and then what did the girl say, to be precise, her boyfriend. Perhaps Cakra was now not ashamed to call Inez his girlfriend, making Cakra attacked by extensive embarrassment. ordinary.

"Same, I also like you more. I'm happy with you, I love being alone with you like this. Thanks, right?"

"Nez..."

"Don't be ashamed of me. You're already my boyfriend, right? I'll always be there for you, and vice versa. You're different, you're not like other boys. I feel ... Lucky to have you. I'm sure that you already feel for me, but you're too shy to reveal everything. You're too proud. Or maybe the words prestige and shame are not quite right, you just can't express your feelings. Am I right?"

Cakra's body shivered slightly at what Inez had just said. He wanted to deny it, but he couldn't. What Inez said just now did not miss at all. It was so precise, making Cakra's heart immediately flutter. He swallowed, choosing the words in his brain to say.

"I'm ...." Cakra was confused about what to say, his lips felt so stiff. The sentences he had compiled in his skull immediately broke up. He couldn't, he had never felt anything like this before. Inez was Cakra's first girlfriend. In fact, dating was something that Cakra had never thought about.

"I don't want to lose you, Nez." And that was the sentence that came out of his lips, he felt very embarrassed afterwards. His cheeks felt hot again.

"I'm the same, I don't want to lose such a rare boy. You're not romantic, but I'm comfortable with you. Promise you won't leave me?"

Inez's hand stretched forward, asking him to link his little finger. With a pounding heart, Cakra finally did what Inez asked. His lips said softly, "I promise Nez."
