Chapter 18: Chapter 18
"Inez, someone is looking for you at the front."
The words of her classmate, who had just entered from outside the classroom, instantly stopped the movement of Inez, who was polishing her face with various makeup tools.
Inez's forehead frowned. She immediately looked at her classmate. Her mind somehow drifted to Rian. Who often sought her out in class if not the boy who was crazy about her?
"Who's Mel?" Inez asked lazily.
"You'll find out later, hurry up and get out there. He waiting for you," said Imel while pointing at the door with a gesture of her chin, before finally sitting herself down in her seat.
Sighing tiredly, she turned her face to the side, watching Ghea, who was focused on the background of her cellphone.
"Who do you think is looking for me?" asked Inez, asking her best friend for her opinion.
"I don't know, I'm not psychic," Ghea replied simply, without looking at Inez.
Chuckling, Inez finally stood up from her seat. Completely lazy, she dragged her feet to get out of the classroom, meeting whoever it was who had interrupted her to make up.
Once her body was outside the classroom, Inez's eyes rounded when she saw Cakra, not Rian like what she had in mind. It was completely out of Inez's expectations.
The corners of Inez's lips immediately pulled up, creating a very wide smile. "You?"
Cakra, who had not previously realized that Inez was standing next to him, immediately gave a small laugh. The boy turned his head while approaching Inez with clumsy and awkward movements.
"Why are you looking for me?" asked Inez while raising her eyebrows. Her hands were folded in front of her chest.
Cakra cleared his throat. "I want to talk about that."
"About what?" Inez asked quickly. She looked at Cakra, who looked nervous and misbehaved, several times the boy was caught avoiding eye contact with her and looked uneasy.
Actually, Inez understood the topic Cakra was currently discussing, it was just that Inez deliberately wanted to provoke him as well as linger alone with Cakra. Besides, this was also an empty hour because the teachers were having a meeting with the principal.
"Hey, why are you staring," Inez said again, waving her hand right in front of Cakra's face. Making the boy suddenly blink his eyes and clear his throat.
"I'm ...."
"Yes?" Inez felt impatient.
She closed her eyes and let out a long breath. "Well... I don't want to date you." He spoke downcast, too nervous at the moment. He doesn't know why that is. Maybe it was the current topic of conversation that made him uncomfortable.
Inez smiled wryly. "Try talking one more time while looking into my eyes."
Cakra hurriedly looked up. "Didn't you hear what I just said?"
"Yes, I didn't hear what you said," Inez lied. "Besides, you were never taught that when you talk to people, you have to look them in the eye?"
Cakra nodded in agreement. He already knew about that. It was just that he was nervous at the moment. His heart was repeatedly beating fast, even though he was trying to stay calm. His hands were also sweating.
Wetting his dry lips, Cakra braced himself. He took a deep breath and looked straight at Inez's face.
"I don't want to date you," he said firmly in one breath. Successfully, he had no problem saying the sentence. His feelings had improved a little. His nervousness also began to diminish, although at this time the throbbing still felt faster.
Inez oohs and ahhs for a split second as she nods in understanding. "That's it?"
"Yes, I just want to say that."
"Why?"
"Why?" Cakra asked back.
Inez snapped. "Yes, why don't you want to date me? There should be a logical reason."
"Is that so?" Cakra felt stupid himself. He thought for a moment as he walked back and forth with his head down.
Cakra's behavior, which Inez found very cute and a little adorable, made her hold back her smile. No wonder she had a crush, Cakra was really different from most boys. Even that boy had never been in a relationship, which made Inez unsure before.
But now that she believed it, he looked innocent and was still new to the whole romance thing. Challenging—that's what Inez has in mind right now.
"How? Did you find the reason?" Inez asked while chuckling softly.
Cakra looked over, then shook his head innocently. "Not yet, still thinking."
"Okay, I'll wait." Inez again held back her smile. The girl leaned her body on the door leaf. Her gaze did not leave the face of Cakra, who was seriously thinking. Inez's hands were clasped together.
Cakra suddenly looked at Inez. While Inez's eyebrows rose upwards. "Did you find the answer?"
"I have," said Cakra.
Inez wanted to hear that, very impatiently. "What?"
"I'm not ready to date," he said.
Inez smiled widely. "Then if I ask you to go out with me tomorrow, will you?"
"Err, not that," said Cakra while shaking his head. "I don't want to date you. I don't want to date you anymore."
"Why?"
"It's not important, it's a waste of time," Cakra replied.
"Whatever you want," Inez agreed. She gave a small nod. "I can't force you if you don't want to or aren't ready."
"Then we're breaking up, right?"
"Broke up?" Inez muttered. "Does that mean you thought it was dating before?"
Cakra thought for a moment, then shrugged. "No idea."
"What are you doing? You're giving me a headache."
"The point is, we're not dating," Cakra said lightly. "You can, right?"
"Okay, but there's one thing you have to hear from me." Inez focused her gaze right into Cakra's beautiful, dark brown eyes.
He didn't answer, and his forehead furrowed. He waited for Inez to say something.
Inez smiled wryly. "You can't prevent or forbid me from making you attracted to my charms. I assure you that you will fall in love with me and bend your knees before me. For now, I can understand you not being interested in me, but you'll rectify your words this time."
"Okay, good luck." Cakra's hand was extended to Inez with a smile.
Inez didn't shake it, but the girl just laughed discordantly. "Sooner or later, you'll like and fall in love with me, Cakra. You'll see."
"Hmmm."
"You'll be my boyfriend."
Cakra was silent.
"I'm sure you'll regret saying you don't want to date me." Inez paused her speech. She looked at Cakra, who was watching her seriously. Good! The boy in front of her was listening well to her words.
"Do you know that I've rejected more than twenty boys who wanted to be my boyfriend?"
"An achievement?" asked Cakra.
Inez let out a long sigh. She had no answer to his sharp words.
Inez immediately replied again after a few moments of silence. "And you, the first person I offered to be my boyfriend. But unfortunately, you rejected me."
"Because I don't like you, and I don't want to date. That's the reason. I'm not another boy either."
"I've rejected Rian more than three times. I like you, not him."
"So what?"
"Just wait for what I'll do to you, you'll be crazy about me."
"Do you want to use pellets?" asked Cakra.
Inez growled in annoyance, her feet stomping irritably on the floor. She looked at Cakra with annoyance. "I'm tired of talking to you. I'll go in first, bye!"
***
"Hurry up, you can use my car." Inez handed over the car keys to Ghea a second after her best friend told her that her mom had asked to be picked up at the hospital.
Ghea's mother was visiting her best friend, who was being treated there along with other mothers, but because she had an urgent need that could not be left unattended, she said goodbye first and immediately called Ghea.
"Sure, Nez, how are you doing?" asked Ghea. "What do you want to do if I take the car home?"
"Walk!" said Inez absurdly.
Ghea's eyeballs widened. "Seriously!"
"Let's hurry up and pick up your mother," urged Inez. "I'm easy, the intention was to go home with Cakra this time."
"Does he want to go home with you?" Ghea looked at Inez straight in the eye, her eyebrows almost coming together.
"I forced him to."
Ghea didn't care about that, she nodded and hugged Inez briefly. "Okay, Nez, I'll go first, okay? Thank you so much for letting me borrow your car," she said, feeling very happy. Going to school today, Ghea didn't bring her motorcycle as usual because the tire was leaking.
"Just relax with me," Inez said without objecting. Her nosy smile suddenly appeared. "But remember, don't forget to give me a cheat on the test. Deal, right?"
"Easy then!" Ghea waved her hand in front of her face. "I'll go first, bye, Inez!" Waving her hand, Ghea darted away while running a little.
Inez waved back at Ghea, and then she started to check under her desk for anything that might have been left behind. After making sure nothing was left behind, Inez quickly left the classroom, walking down the steps to move to the next building, the one where Cakra's class was located.
Inez climbed the stairs again because class at Cakra was indeed on the second floor. The corridor was already quite quiet, even Inez suddenly felt scared if Cakra was no longer in class. After running a little, Inez finally arrived at her destination.
True to her guess, Cakra's class was almost empty. Inez almost sighed in disappointment, but when she saw a boy sitting in his seat with his eyes out the window, Inez's smile grew.
Cakra apparently hadn't gone home yet. He was still here, alone in the classroom. Inez intended to step in and surprise him with something that would make him jump in surprise. But on second thought, Inez shook her head. Obviously, Cakra would get angry, and that would be fatal. He might not want to go home with her.
From the doorway of the classroom, Inez noticed Cakra's face, which was indeed handsome—even more handsome than Rian. His skin was pure white, his eyeballs were beautiful, his nose was also sharp, his eyebrows were thick, and it was perfected with his long eyelashes, even Inez's eyelashes were not that long. Inez was a bit jealous, actually. And most importantly, Inez liked Cakra's lips, which she wanted to bite.
That boy was really perfect. At least according to Inez from a physical point of view. His body was not ideal, tall and skinny. But according to Inez, Cakra's body is really huggable.
For almost fifteen minutes, Inez stood in the doorway, her gaze not moving from Cakra. Why didn't that boy move at all? What was he thinking at the moment? Cakra's gaze also looked blank.
Inez intended to barge in to wake Cakra up from his reverie, because she was afraid of mystical things happening here, such as trance. She doesn't know, Inez suddenly thought in that direction.
However, Inez's steps stopped when Cakra suddenly turned around with a confused look. Inez stuttered to herself. Previously, Inez would feel confident when approaching a boy. But why is it always like this with Cakra?
Cakra approached Inez with wide strides. He exhaled a long breath, then looked at Inez quite sharply.
"I already told you that I'm not ready to date," said Cakra.
Inez shook her head stiffly. "I'm not here to discuss that," she said sharply, then looked up at Cakra because they were quite far apart in height. "So don't be a smart ass!"
Cakra nodded in understanding. Then he swept his gaze across the classroom. His forehead crinkled in confusion. "Who are you looking for? There's no one else here but us."
Inez let out a long sigh. "I want to find you, but I don't want to talk about dating."
"Me?" Cakra pointed at himself.
"Yes, you," Inez said quickly. She grabbed his hand and led him out of the classroom. "Hurry up!"
"Where are you taking me?"
Ignoring Cakra's question, Inez dragged the boy's wrist even faster. This, of course, confused Cakra. Cakra, who felt uncomfortable with this, plus Inez's strange behavior, immediately stopped his footwork.
Inez automatically stopped and immediately turned her face back. Cakra withdrew his hand from Inez, then stepped back.
"You want to kidnap me, huh?" Cakra gave Inez a probing look.
Inez raised her chin. "Yes, I want to kidnap you, then I'll throw you into the room, strip you, and then we'll make love until we sigh with pleasure and reach the peak together." Inez smiled wryly, looking at Cakra, who wore a confused expression.
He scratched the bridge of his nose. "What the hell are you talking about?" Inez spoke very quickly, and Cakra didn't have time to listen.
"Let's not talk too much, hurry up and go home!" Inez urged, then approached Cakra and pulled the hem of his uniform.
"Home?" Cakra still looked confused. "Our houses are different, you can go home by yourself."
"This time I want to go home with you. There's no refusal or resistance at all. Understood?"
"No!" He spoke quickly. He shook his head vigorously and repeatedly. "Your house is far away, I can't afford to drive you. You have your own car, right?"
"I don't have a car," Inez replied. Her eyes then rolled lazily.
"I don't have the right to drive you even if you don't have your car." Cakra was already starting to get angry. Why was it always like this around this crazy girl in front of him? Cakra's emotions were often tested when he was with Inez. And honestly, it was exhausting.
"You don't want to?" Inez waved her eyes in all directions while laughing sarcastically.
"Yeah, I don't want to."
"You know that I'm famous here, almost every student in this school follows my Instagram."
Why are we talking about Instagram? Cakra was getting dizzy. Inez's conversation was so random. Cakra snorted, for the umpteenth time.
"This is not an achievement to be proud of," he said.
Although Cakra's words were quite sharp and hit her right in the heart. But Inez tried to stay calm and not get upset. "It's not an achievement, but I'm sure you'll be surprised."
"I'm going home." Cakra stepped past Inez, at first, he was sure that Inez would grab his hand or pull him uniform to stay in his original position. But, when he didn't realize that would happen, he immediately walked faster.
"If you don't want to go home with me..."
Inez deliberately dangled her words, making Cakra twist her body, waiting for Inez's words to come out fully.
Inez smiled. "I'll tell all my Instagram followers that you and I are dating."
He walked over to Inez with his super sharp gaze, his jaw instantly set. As soon as he arrived, he grabbed Inez's wrist.
"Come home with me!" he said coldly. He then took Inez by the hand to go to the parking lot.
Inez held back her nervous smile.
Yes! My mission was successful. Inez cheered inwardly.
