We were all seated in the bus.

"Okay people, our journey begins. Hope you have your notebooks, cameras and recorders." our professor said.

"Yes, sir." we all replied.

"Good. Let's go then."

He took a seat and the driver started the bus.

I turned to Lucas,

"Here we go, handsome."

"Yup." he smiled at me.

The journey began well. Most people chatted, others had earphones or headsets on, listening to music. I was amongst those listening to music.

Lucas sat by the window. I looked at him. He was quiet, staring out the window like he was thinking about something important.



I took my earphones off and wrapped my fingers around his arm. He looked at me.

"What are you thinking about?" I asked, with a smile. He smiled back.

"You. And me."

"Oh, yeah?"

"Crazy we turned out to be close." he chuckled, "When I think that you called me gay the first time we met."

I laughed.

"Oh, I forgot that."

We chuckled together. Then I noticed someone staring at us a few seats ahead. Brianna and Bella. Why did they have to attend the same course and classes as us?

They gave us a nasty look before looking ahead again.

"I hate those bitches." I murmured to Lucas.

"That's why I like you." Lucas mused and kissed my forehead.

"Mmm, do that again." I moaned playfully, imitating him, a little too loud though because the two guys ahead of us turned to our surprise.

"Whatever y'all are doing back here, keep it for a room." one mused and they both laughed before facing their front again.

Lucas and I looked at each other in amusement.

"It's embarrassing." I mused and Lucas laughed.

After one hour and thirteen to fourteen minutes on the road, we arrived Cove Neck.

"Here we are students. Cove neck."

We all looked at the busy and rich city. One of New York's cities with high per capita income. We were gonna have fun.

The Cove university was going to welcome us. We were going to stay there throughout our field trip.

After about thirty minutes driving through the town, we reached the cove university. As expected, the campus was chic and clean.

We were given some free rooms in the dormitories to share in twos.

"Okay students, go change because right now, we have to go the Cove Judiciary Courtroom." our professor had told us before we went to the rooms. Soon we were all done.

We lined up in front of the bus again.

"We're gonna walk up to the courtroom people. It's just two streets away from here. Y'all ready??" the professor asked.

"Yes."

"Then follow me."

We followed him through the campus and out if it. Lucas and I held hands throughout and I noticed Brianna kept giving us ugly stares. I did not know what her problem was but I didn't give a fuck either.

Walking through the city of cove neck was much more fun than being in a bus. The students laughed, chatted, stopped to take pictures and selfies. It was great.

Lucas and I would discuss and laugh, admire the city, shops and many others.

He told me something crazy that had happened to him when he was younger. It made me laugh so hard.

While I laughed, he called me.

"Hey, look here." When I did, he took a picture of me with his phone.



"Ooou, lemme see the pic!" I told him, "It's great."

"I know right. Your shoes are dope."

"Thanks. They're new. Now that I make a lil money, I can buy things I like. And provide for my momma."

"Right. Come here." he put an arm over my shoulder and we continued to walk with the others.

We walked up to the second street. Cove was a nice place.

We walked through a spot where people could sit and read, chat or have lunch. Nice.

"Take a picture of me here." Lucas said, going to sit. I watched him take out his black shades and put them on, then he looked away, making that superstar pose. I laughed.

"So you think you're a star, huh?" I mused.

"Baby, please." he started, using a fake British accent, still looking away. "...I'm a prince. Now take the fucking picture."

I laughedm

"Okay, your highness." I mused and took the picture.

We got to see the cove courtroom, we were given major advice, instructions and information which we noted down.

We then had the luck to visit the offices of two known Judges in New York. One of them was present and he answered all our questions. It was great. We ended up returning to cove university at seven PM.

When we got to school, we were told by the students that one of their fraternities were organising a hot party that same night from ten PM. Of course they invited us. Perfect.

That night, we were all dressed and ready for the party organised by the Alpha sigma. We were led to their frat house. It was big on the inside as much as the outside.

There were drinks and loud music booming and fun! It was one crazy party with crazier games than the ones we had back in Greenwill.

Here girls would run around in only their panties and some boys were actually naked and dead drunk. It was a mad party.

I danced and had fun though. As usual, Lucas would sit at the bar and just observe.

After dancing and having fun to my satisfaction, I went to join him at the bar.

"A bottle of beer, please." I told the barman.

"Right up, pretty." he turned to get the drink which he then gave me. I turned to Lucas.

"Still drinking soda, huh?" I teased him.

"Yup." he chuckled.

"Why don't you wanna have fun? We're not in Greenwill. Free yourself! I've spotted more than three girls from this university checking you out." I told him over the loud music.

"Well, too bad for them." He laughed. I joined him.

"You're a case."

He smiled and me.

"I know."

There was a moment of silence and Lucas just stared at me.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing. I wanna try something."

"What's that?"

He turned to the bar guy.

"Hey, two shots of vodka please."

I stared at Lucas in shock.

"What are you ordering those for??"

"To drink."

I laughed

"Oh my are you serious?!"

"Yup." he mused.

The guy put the shots on the table in front of Lucas. Lucas picked up one of the little glasses.

"Omg, Luke are you serious?? You wanna drink that?? It's too strong."

"I know. But it can't kill me right?"

"Uh..."

He smirked at me and to my surprise, I watched him raise the glass and gulp down all it's content in a second!

"Oh!" I screamed, clapping happily.

"Aaargh!" he groaned grimacing and I laughed. "This shit is horrible!"

"Hahaha!"

"My poor throat." he chuckled, rubbing his neck.

"That was courageous of you."

"Yup. But now thinking of it, the taste isn't that bad."

"Hahahaha."

As we laughed, we noticed Brianna at a distance chatting with a guy from cove.

At a point she turned and smirked provocatively at Lucas, then to our surprise, she kissed the guy in front her in such a raw provocative manner.

Lucas scoffed.

"She's trying to make me jealous." he stated.

"Seriously?"

"Yup. Don't you see it?"

I looked at them. At a point, during the kiss, Brianna opened her eyes and stared at Lucas. Pure provocation.

"Oh, I see. And are you jealous?" I asked him.

"Are you kidding me? She's a slut." his reply made me laugh out.

"Omg! I love you!" I laughed and Lucas joined. "How about we give her a taste of her own medicine??"

The question left my mouth before I could think. Maybe I'd had a little too much to drink.

No. I did it intentionally, to help a friend.

Lucas stared at me.

"Her own medicine as in?" he asked.

I stood up and gave him a knowing smile.

He stared for a while but then realised what I meant. He smiled and grabbed the second glass of vodka which he drank at once before standing up to face me.

"This is the best idea you've had so far. Come here." Lucas held my face and before I had time to realise, his lips were on mine.

I froze at first, not knowing what to think anymore about the situation. But when his tongue found its way into my mouth, I got carried away with him.

There I was! Standing there as Lucas and I shared the most sensual kiss I'd ever had in my entire life. And all this just to make his ex jealous.

It surprised me and my body froze.

Lucas was a great kisser. The way he kissed felt like he was making love to my mouth. His arm found its way around my waist and when he pulled me close against his body, my knees went numb.

The way Lucas kissed me was something I'd experienced with no other guy. He was no angel as he claimed to be apparently.

We stood there for about a minute.

I used the little force left in me and opened my eyes to catch Brianna staring at us, red with anger. She then stormed away into the crowd.

I gathered that remaining force and tried to break the kiss.

"Mmm- mmf! Lu- Lucas..." I managed to say through the kiss, slightly pushing against his chest.

He eventually broke the kiss, leaving both of us breathless.

"Um, it- it worked." I said nervously with a smile. He smiled back and his face turned red.

"Uh, great."

We were awkwardly silent but then Lucas chuckled nervously and we ended up laughing at the situation.

"Well, that- that was...wow." I laughed, nervously.

"Um, sorry if I did a lil too much." he smiled shyly and I saw the blush in his cheeks.

"No. No. You're a great kisser. I assure you." I admitted with a little laugh.

"Thank you."

That night I couldn't find sleep.

That kiss I'd shared with Lucas kept coming back to my mind. I hoped it wouldn't cause any awkwardness between us.
