Chapter 97: Chapter 97
Chapter 99: Madeline is Elly
Elly was dumbfounded. "How did Emily know about my past? My relationship with her is only through Alex, we don't know each other at all."
Why does Emily know that she had lost her memory? She remembered clearly that she only told the Brotherhood about this.
She didn't believe in Emily but deep down she always wanted to know about her past, and she didn't ignore any clues related to her memory.
"Give me time and place." She replied
The next afternoon, in a small cafe, Elly waited for more than an hour. Emily didn't show up and made her impatient but she didn't leave.
As soon as the phone rang, Elly hastened to answer the phone, and her voice trembled with anger when she was out of control.
"Where are you? Does Miss Emily want to joke with me? Isn't that so naive?"
Oddly enough, Emily was not as sarcastic as before, but a little gentle.
"I'll wait for you in the old house of my family. If you want to know about your past, follow the address in the text message." She hung up immediately after the call, which prevented Elly time to consider.
"What do you want?" Elly called back, but there was no answer, so she had to drive to the designated address.
Emily's hometown has been abandoned for a long time, unattended. Entering the living room from the courtyard, everything was littered with weeds. When Elly walked into Emily's house, she could not explain the chill behind her.
Seeing Emily, Elly keep a safe distance of two meters and asked vigilantly. "Why did you call me here? What do you know about my past?"
Emily turned slowly, and Elly was startled by her anxious look. Her face had no makeup, showing blue skin, deep black eyes and lips cracked. There was an incomprehensible compassion in her heart.
Emily looked at the distance between the two and smiled. "Are you so afraid of me? Or do you really hate me?"
Elly felt a little strange when she saw alcohol. Is this the humiliation she endured in order to choose and repel the pain?
"Elly, I never meant to hurt you. I don't want you to be with Alex, not just for yourself.
"For me?" Elly asked with a big smile. "Tell me, why is it because of me?"
Emily sighed under Elly's faint smile. She seemed to have waited a long time. Her voice was slow. "If you know your past, you certainly don't want to be with Alex."
"What does my past have to do with Alex?" Elly approached, frowning.
"So, do you think we're the same? Don't you want to know why you and Alex's ex-wife have a lot in common? There are no such coincidences in this world."
Elly had a bad feeling. Her stomach was tight and her heart stopped beating before the next sentence.
"You are Madeline" She is the youngest daughter of the Russel family and the ex-wife of Alex.
Emily's message flashed like lightning in his ear, and Elly was shocked on the spot. She staggered and shook her head. "Impossible! How could I be his ex-wife? You're lying to me. If it's true, why are you telling me now?"
Emily sighed, looked painfully into her eyes and explained softly. "I don't have to lie. I never said it was for you. I didn't want my sister to get hurt, so I tried my best to stop you from going to him."
She looked at Elly lush, as if she were scolding her little sister. You misunderstood and I agreed but I didn't expect it."
Emily shook her head and looked at her. "Even if you lose your memory, you still love him."
"This is wrong!" Elly objected, her feet fell back, tripped and stumbled over something on the ground. Her hand was torn by a stick of wood and her voice was trembling. "You're lying! what you're saying is a lie! this is ridiculous! Am I your sister? Isn't your sister dead?"
Emily ran over and tried to help her up, but dodged. She was hurt by her evasive attitude.
Elly dared not look at that painful look. She stood up and kept a certain distance from Emily.
Emily took out a report to prove that Madeline died in a car accident that year. "Everyone thought you're dead, but in fact you're just badly hurt. I and John hid the fact that you were still alive."
"How about you? What are you making up?" Elly was screaming.
"If you don't believe me, you can ask John."
She shook her head, never thought that John knew the past and hid everything from her. This is terrible!
Emily can read her thoughts and analyze them kindly. "Don't blame John. He and I chose to hide because we love you and didn't want you to suffer."
"Why does it make me so sad to know that I used to be Alex's ex-wife? What happened to Alex's ex-wife in the past?" Elly finally asked a sensible question.
The more serious she was, the calmer Emily's voice was, and her eyes were not alarmed by Elly's doubts. "When you got married, your father and I opposed it, but you were still young and didn't understand the evil heart of people. Even if your family stopped you, you were determined to get married."
Emily reached out to hold Elly to persuade her, but she sighed when she avoided her. "He suppressed and made trouble, inserting false news into high markets all over the country. Workers went on strike, production was suspended indefinitely, and our family suffered heavy losses after Alex stabbed me in the back."
"Bazaar bankruptcy is also the work of Alex." Emily's eyes were full of pain.
"Without Alex, our family would not be as miserable as it is now."
The cruel fact that Elly cannot consume in a short time. She didn't believe it; she was full of suspicion and vigilance.
"I don't trust your previous behavior." She looked at Emily honestly.
"We can do a DNA test if you like." Emily enthusiastically put forward the suggestion and when she saw that Elly was still skeptical, she exhaled a breath. "Well, then, you chose the hospital."
The two women came to the downtown hospital together. Elly stood at the door in a panic and did not have the courage to come in.
What if what Emily said was true, am I really Emily's sister and Alex's ex-wife? What would I do? How can I face Alex?
Emily smiled to appease Elly. "Don't you want to know the truth?"
Elly took a breath and went in with her.
Unfortunately, the test results were not available immediately, and it will take several days to get the results. This worried Elly very much.
She blocked Emily's route with her hand and wanted to know. "If I am really your sister, why are you saying this just now?"
"Because I don't want you to marry Alex, it's enough for me that you had a painful marriage once. If it wasn't for Alex who was too cruel to our family this time, I even hope you will forget the past forever."
Emily's mouth was filled with her thoughts, but she was constantly on alert, so that Elly could trust her fully. She is not a person easily to trust.
On the way back, Elly did not dispel her doubts, so she hurriedly called John. She dosen't want to disturb him, but she wanted an answer from him as soon as possible.
In response to Elly's expectations, the phone rang several times and then hung up, John did not answer the phone.
He always hung up the phone all the time, which made Elly feel very cold. John is completely disgusted and doesn't want anything to do with her, does he?
In fact, all the phone calls of Elly's company were hung up by Sarah Olsen, and she also deleted the phone diary.
"Elly, you and Alex are engaged. Don't contact other men." The selfishness of women when their love is full, on Sarah Olsen's heart.
As she put the phone back in place, John came out of the bathroom, wiped his hair and asked." "Who was it?"
"What?" Sarah Olsen pretended to be dull. "I didn't hear the phone ringing. Are you mistaken?"
"You can look through the phone log on your cell phone, there is no missed calls. I think you've been in the shower for too long, and you're hallucinating."
Seeing that John had no doubt, Sarah Olsen breathed a sigh of relief.
At the Mansion, Alex felt that Elly was a little strange recently. She deliberately avoided him and restricted her communication with him. Even if he took advantage to cheer her up, she was avoiding her.
When the two met in the corridor, Alex stood in her way. Elly silently moved the man aside, but then he followed. Her big eyes were round for a long time and before she looked up, she glanced at him, boldly drooping her lips, trying to get out of his arm.
Alex gave in and hugged her by the waist, pushed her against the wall, and locked her in with both hands.
Because of their height difference, he only saw the black hair drop rapidly, so he raised his chin and asked carefully. "What's the matter with you? Why are you avoiding me?"
"Nothing!" Elly shook her head and said reluctantly. "I was just thinking, I didn't notice you. Don't misunderstood."
"Why don't you look me in the eye?" Alex stroked her lips with his thumb and pushed his slender arms high, forcing her to face a sharp look. "You did something wrong, didn't you?"
Elly gradually grew his line of sight from high places, touched the bottom of his deep black eyes, and her heart beat faster. Am I too sensitive? What's wrong with me?
Alex bent down and hug her. "It's my fault that you don't care about me."
He looked at her quietly. "It's always Elly who loses." She said gently pretending to be calm and very fulfilling. "If I don't care about you, how do I know you will have a video conference with your partner in a few minutes? It's almost time. Let's go!"
Alex still felt strange, but because there was not much time, he had to get out of the way and let her go back to her room. "Go to bed early. In a few days, I'll take you out to play."
