Chapter 94 Abandoning the Acquisition Plan

As expected in the plan, Russel's could not bear the pressure of bankruptcy that was forced by Alex Hargreaves.

"Hey! We need to talk. After the failure of the defence, Mr. Russel rushed to the head office of the company." He looked at Alex with a big smile on his face.

Alex was waving to the shivering security guard as if he was drying outside the door and motioned to him.

The door closed, and Alex looked at Mr. Russel calmly and said straight. "I don't like to be attracted to your employee."

Mr. Russel had a dark face. He didn't expected Mr Alex to treat him with such disdain. His voice was towering and furious.

Alex was startled and painstakingly picked up the internal phone with a careless voice. It seems that Mr. Russel doesn't want to talk about politeness. "I still have work to do. I only receive reserved guests."

Mr. Russel gritted his teeth and spoke in a shameful whisper. "Bastard!"

Satisfied with the hunchback, Alex put his pen on his briefcase and asked as if he was on court. "What would you like to talk about?"

"If you want to stand by yourself..." Alex was seated on the chair, which makes Mr. Russel felt more uncomfortable. Seated in the front chair of the board of directors, Mr. Russel tried to count word for word as a man who had not admitted defeat. "I heard that Hargreaves wants to buy Russel's Croup of Company. I'm here today to talk to you about related issues."

Alex looked at Mr. Russel's confident expression again, and Alex understated it, he showed a ferocious smile on the corners of his mouth. "Mr. Russel, what do you think I'm doing, buying a company on the brink of bankruptcy?" Alex's straightforward question changed Mr. Russel's color. He tried to hide the fear in his eyes and asked impatiently. "What do you mean by that? Isn't Hargreaves preparing for the acquisition?"

The last hope in Mr. Russel's heart was crushed by Alex's laughter.

"Basically, I gave up the acquisition plan." Alex looked at Mr. Russel's silent face and asked leisurely. "What else can I do for you, Mr. Russel? My time is so precious that I have no time for small talk."

Alex used to live in the Hargreaves family for three years and take good care of his son.

"Didn't Emily told Mr. Russel that she hit his son?" The thought of the scars on Kitten's hand, made Alex's breath even crueller.

When Mr. Russel heard about it for the first time, he secretly scolded his daughter for being useless. The cunning eyes turned and tried to maintain the relationship.

"Not because my sister respects your sister, and my youngest daughter is also the mother of Kitten and a member of the Russel Family."

Mr. Hargreaves slammed his hand on the table, and his cold voice made Mr. Russel shudder. The members of the Russel Family did not bring the charitable items he donated, and Mr. Russel did knew how to stay calm based on his face.

"I wasted my time dealing with undignified people like you. I called your internal number. Good luck to you"

A week later, the Russel Family declared bankruptcy. Once a powerful family, was now in chaos every night, and even their friends and long-term business partners have taken the initiative to cut off their contact.

As he watched Mr. Russel seated on his silent pipe. Emily got used to being spoiled, she showed a bad temper, and blamed him for all his sins.

"Dad is the skilful hand at running a company and doing business. You should know this better than I do." Emily bluntly said.

Mr. Russel was too tired to say a word. The bankrupt company had a great impact on him, but it was caused by the people who had been doing the accounts and were confident that they were in the palm of his hand. 'I thought I was smart, but it turned out to be a trap set by Alex.' He thought.

Mr. Russel sighed and ordered sternly. "From now on, I will not allow you to have any contact with Alex Hargreaves."

The stubborn Emily. "Why would you do that? We all know why Noble ended up like this today. Without Hargreaves intervention, the company would not have declared bankruptcy even if it was in deficit, if the relationship could be re-established."

On the weekend afternoon, the thunder suddenly tore apart the vigorous sky. Kitten, who was sitting next to the TV, jumped up and threw himself in Elly's body.

"How timid." Alex looked down at the material in his hand, and looked up at his son clinging to Elly's body, and said jealously.

Elly stroke Kitten's back, her eyes stared at Alex with displeasure. The kid was just three years old.

Alex was even more dismissive. "I slept alone when I was two years old and was not afraid of thunder."

Her mouth twitched and despised him. "Is there a father who belittles his children as you do?"

Alex struggled with her for a few seconds, he raised his nose, and bent down and continued to read the papers. His lips curve into a smile where no one saw it.

"Don't be afraid, your aunt and father are here. Lightning won't hurt you." Elly patted the baby's head.

Kitten secretly looked out of the window. Several flashes of thunder were deafening. He clung to her clothes and asked in horror. "Will it rain, Auntie Elly? I hate the rain."

After saying that, he put his head into her heart again and refused to come out. Elly dotes on.

Just then, the Housekeeper Geno came in from the outside, he looked carefully at Elly and whispered to Alex. "Boss, Miss Emily is outside. She wants to see you. "

Alex heard that Emily was outside, he didn't mind and continued to open the documents.

"There's no time. Bye."

"Yes, sir." Housekeeper Geno went straight outside, he looked at Emily who was standing in the doorway, and said politely. "Mr. Alex doesn't want to see you. Miss Emily, please come back."

She looked up silently, and the joy in her eyes faded. Leaving only disappointment and cold. "Why you? I don't need your pity."

Emily was embarrassed and pale, but she had not lost the pride of a young lady. Elly admired her.

"Your fiance has always been great. Why don't you go to the house and look for Alex and put him to shame?

Emily squinted and screamed. "This is none of your business. Where's Alex?'
