Chapter 80: Chapter 80

Chapter 82 Don't hit Auntie Elly

Elly hastened to deny: "My sprain is not so painful that I have to go to the hospital." Please put me down."

"Please don't put up with it. Doesn't it hurt a lot?" Alex asked again, and when he saw Elly nodded, he put her down on the sofa.

That moment, she was more concern that Alex held her into the office, rather than her leg pain. She expressed her thoughts.

"We have been misunderstood and absolutely no colleagues will believe that we are innocent. Now, even if I explain to them, no one will believe it."

"You don't have to worry. We are not doing anything wrong, and it is their malicious mind that has a problem." Alex was startled, he thought that the rumor might actually come true.

Rumors about the company have not yet spread, and the media have received news of a vague relationship between Alex and Elly.

"This affected Alex's image. The public originally supported and loved the image of him with his ex-wife, but now he and his secretary are complacent, affecting the Brotherhood's stock." News flashed in the TV.

Seated on the sofa in the living room while watching the TV news, Elly bowed her head and apologized to Alex. "I'm sorry, it's my fault. If I walked more carefully..."

"You didn't do it? Are you really that pretentious?" Alex's face did not change, and a cold look was thrown at her. "The public is dismissive of some news from the media."

After she heard Alex's confident answer, Elly felt a little relaxed. She said hesitantly when she thought of the content of the article. "Even better, I should leave the President now."

"What did you say?"

Alex's problem was simple. His face was still careless, which made him braver to speak his mind. "The CIA is not affected by the rumors, but you are in charge of the article, and if the media finds out that you live here, it will be even more troublesome."

She stopped and her chin was tightened. Alex turned over from the next sofa in front of her, and for a moment he leaned his knee against the edge of the chair, his hand on her chin, and his other hand on the lean of the chair, covering her body from his.

"Have I been too kind lately, so you want to do something crazy?"

The pressure from him made Elly cool her waist, and her fear of predators instinctively made her shake her head sensibly.

Alex still did not let go, he lowered his head toward hers and spoke word by word in her ear. "You moved here on your own, but now you wanted to move out. What do you think of my place? A Hotel or a motel? Don't you dare leave me, or I'll cut off your legs."

Elly blinked, her hands loosened, and her eyes looked directly in the sultry atmosphere.

As soon as Kitten came inside the room, he saw his father about to hurt his aunt Elly. He angrily ran over and took his father's hand and shouted. "Dad! You can't hit aunt Elly."

Kitten put his arm around his father's waist, so he let her go, stood behind and pulled his son out of him.

The little boy who was now facing his father raised his hands and stood in front of Elly, like a brave young man, guarding his lover. The noise resounded through the living room.

"Women are for love. I will not let you hurt my dear aunt in Elly. I will risk my life to be able to protect her."

Alex looked at his son complicatedly. He looked at Elly and was shocked by Kitten's words. He was glad with his son's relationship with Elly and supported him to protect her, but what was the jealousy in his heart all about? Was he jealous of his own son?

Without explaining anything to him, Alex turned and walked straight into the office and closed the door rudely.

After closing the door, the first thing he did was to make a phone call.

"I'll give you three days to sort this out. If three days later, I still see some junk news on the Internet, the staff of your team can apply to the human resource department for resignation."

The tone ran rampant, and Alex hung up the phone after receiving the order.

As for Alex, he had already calmed down, but he could not restrain his anger about Elly. He was angry with hers because she blamed herself.

In the living room, Kitten turned around and stood on the floor, he shook her legs with his little hands. "Aunt Elly, please don't be angry and don't leave our home. I don't want you to leave."

Elly stroked the boy's head and smiled. "I am not angry."

The person who was talking to her at the moment was just a child under the age of four, but he can already feel that others were either very sad or happy. He staggered onto the chair, stood up and put his arms around Elly's neck and whispered in her ear. "Auntie, I'll tell you a secret. Dad wants me to stay here, so if you hit him, I forgave you wholeheartedly."

"Oh yeah?" Elly smiled and hugged him, with the fear that he might fall, and calmly asked, ignoring Alex's thoughts.

Kitten said earnestly. "Really! I care too much about aunt Elly!"

Elly's smile paused for a moment, but she soon regained consciousness, sat solemnly on the chair, stretched out her arms and sprained her cheek. "Handsome! Do you know what it means to care?"

"Yes, yes." Kitten shook his feet, looked sideways at Elly and betrayed Alex. "I heard you were cooking stew in the kitchen. I hope the pain in your leg will be healed soon."

She was surprised that she did not know that Alex had done these things for her behind her back. He never mentioned or talked about it.

Elly felt something in her heart and asked her in a tender voice. "When I found out you were eavesdropping, I told you not to tell your aunt. Your dad said, you can care about a person as long as you know them. Don't you understand?"

She didn't answer her, but stroked his soft hair. Unconsciously, she looked up at the closed studio door, and Elly's eyes sparkled with tenderness and warmth.

Somewhere else, the Russel family.

Seeing the news on the Internet, Elizabeth's expression became ugly and twisted. In the title of the article, warmly welcomed by all parties of public opinion, Kitten had been protecting Elly everywhere, this kind of behavior is the envy of Elizabeth.

"Is this what you call a plan?" Elizabeth threw her cell phone out of the window in an impatient tone. "What impact do you think these scandals will have on Alex? He is a man who steps on public opinion and never cared about these false rumors. The man is a big mountain and is not easily shaken by cats."

Elizabeth looked at Mr. Russel seated on the opposite side in frustration. She said angrily. "If this is what you call revenge, I'll take care of it myself. The news will only bring Alex closer to Elly, and Alex will have a reason to protect her."

His eyes sparkled and Elizabeth screamed. I won't let her get carried away.

In order to avoid reporters, Elly did not come to the company for two days. She was afraid that the reporters will find out that she was living with Alex's family and she doesn't want to go to the office to listen to the gossips being spread by her colleagues.

When the water was boiling, Elly received a call from John.

"Elly, can we meet?"

Elly didn't want to have anything to do with John anymore, so she politely refused.

"Well, then, I'm in some trouble. So I'm going to be restricted from going out. Have you seen the news lately?"

She thought John understood her situation, but he was surprisingly stubborn.

"Elly, let's meet!"

"Well, it's not convenient for me."

"I want to see you!"

The sullen voice spread over the phone, which dealt a blow to Elly's kind-hearted nature and softened her heart. After hesitating for a few seconds, she couldn't bear to refuse. "I'll text you the address."

"Okay, then. I'll wait for you." After Elly agreed, John 's tone was obviously lighter.

As soon as Elly opened the door, she saw him stood there and looked up at her. "Where is Elly going?"

"Are you eavesdropping on adults again?" Elly had a headache about the boy's habits. "You sit down and listen carefully. I am going to see a friend and we will meet outside. I promise I'll bring you a present when I get home."

"No, no!" The boy shook his head and staggered. "Dad said you would be locked up at home for three days, and if you go out alone, he would be in trouble. I made a promise not to let my aunt sneak out to play." Kitten also informed her and asked her to listen.

Elly knew she wanted to be nice to him, and considering John's mood, she still didn't have the heart to let him down.

Elly was dumbfounded with laughter, and her voice seduced her gently. "Kitten, this friend is very important to your aunt. So, I have to see him, okay?"

Her words were so deep that no matter how smart he was, Kitten was only a child under the age of four. He could not understand Elly at all.

"Are your friends more important than you?" This little boy was only concerned with this issue.

"Yes, sir."

After answering, Elly saw the loss in his eyes. With low cheeks and moist eyes, he finally pushed his aunt and ran back to the room.

The child's world is very simple. In Kitten's mind, what is more important than Alex is Elly. He doesn't want her to like others. He just wants her to like her father.

Sorry! I don't want to remember the crucifixion, but, uh. Elly walked out of the house with lips.

She answered his question repeatedly at the back of her mind, but honestly, she did not know to whom the balance of her heart was tilted.
