Chapter 61: Chapter 61
Chapter 63 Lunatics and Fake Nurses
The next day, Alex opened the door and saw Elly appeared with two deep bags under her eyes. He asked excitedly. "Are you so excited to go abroad with me that you haven't slept all night?"
"I can't sleep well," Elly said lightly that there was no mention of last night's dream. "Just go straight to the point. Didn't you say you were here on business? You should let a secretary like me know the schedule for the next few days."
"I'll let you know if necessary." Alex closed the door of the room. The hotel restaurant always has a buffet in the morning. "I'll give you a day off today for you to balance and get used to the time zone."
"Do you take good care of your other employees, too?" The two are neck and neck, Elly did not forget to kick him a few words. After all, he has always belonged to the exploited class, so she will not be unkind to Alex.
"Well, I've always been a boss who cares about my employees. Especially my little secretary." Alex did not forget to flirt as he responded to Elly.
Elly glared at him, flushed and silent.
Two people ate a harmonious breakfast. Alex did not give up his affectionate words, making her feel much more natural.
"You go back to your room first, and I'll smoke before I go up. Just like you two." Mr. Alex said.
She didn't want to fight and walked into the elevator with coffee when someone squeezed through the door and hit her body. Elly staggered on her shoulder against the elevator wall, spilled hot coffee on her hand, and the back of his hand turned red.
He angrily looked for the person who met her and immediately saw a man wearing a headscarf and a mask. The cold man looked at her and said calmly. "Oh, I'm sorry."
Although the apology was not sincere, she only suppressed her inner discontent and remained silent.
But the man, like a deliberate fight, looked at her fiercely and liked to wake up. "What are you looking at? Who told you to see me?"
Elly is not willing to ask again. "Are you talking to me?"
"You and me are the only people here, is there a third person in the elevator?" The man's attitude is arrogant.
She doesn't like getting into trouble, but his bossy attitude annoyed her. She said it harshly and ruthlessly. "Dear sir, you obviously bumped into me first, and the attitude of your apology didn't work. I'm not responding. Now you're talking terribly. Is it too loud?"
Put all your eggs in one basket. But the infuriated the man remained prideful.
"I already apologized, and you are the rude one. That's not good. I'll tell you the price of despising others."
As soon as he had finished speaking, the man reached out his hand and rushed to her. Elly was startled and hurried away. Because the elevator was too narrow, she was soon pressed in the corner as the man's hand crushed her throat. Creepy, crazy laughter rang out in her ears.
"What a bitch! A woman dared to talk to me like that! I want to see how arrogant you are as you go down to the underworld!"
Her throat was tight, and Elly was out of breath. The oxygen did not flow. Her face began to turn blue and her eyes became dizzy. Elly didn't think she would die just because of a word.
At the last moment of her losing consciousness, she vaguely heard a familiar voice. "Fuck you! What did you do to her?"
Alex never thought that such a terrible thing could have happened to her just a few minutes away from him. When the machine opened, he saw the hands of the man on Elly's neck, and his blood rushed to his mind and his anger burst that urged him to punch the man into his face.
"Go away." Brother hit the man in the temple and pulled him out of her. His hand clung to his neck and hit his head against the wall of the elevator.
Elly slipped on the floor without stopping. Alex threw the man hard and ran to pick her up. "Elly?"
Seeing something wrong, the man got up with blood all over his head and quickly slipped out of the elevator. Alex did not chase him because Elly's body has softened his heart, no matter what he calls it, she does not respond.
Lack of breath led to Elly's coma. Alex hurriedly took her out of the elevator, got out of the car, and took her to the hospital.
At this time, Elly only felt that he was in a cold water tank and kept whispering in her ear. "Ms. Elly, if you wake up, I will listen to you." His voice was warm and panicked.
Elly woke up the next afternoon, and she was in a coma day and night.
At that time, Alex was waiting by the hospital bed, and he never left because he knew she would feel lonely when she woke up alone.
Elly opened her eyes painstakingly, and Mr. Alex Hargreaves' uneasy face was pressed against her face. She said unconsciously "Look how handsome you are!"
"You're awake!' Alex breathed a sigh of relief when he heard that she had the strength to joke. "You were strangled, you were in a coma all day and night, and you made my heart worried."
It took Elly a while to digest his words and the memory before she fainted slowly returned to her mind. She asked in surprise as she felt the pain in her neck. "You saved me?"
Alex nodded and informed her that she was almost strangled to death. "Did you have anything to do with that madman? What happened? Why would he want to kill you?"
"Alex asked questions, again and again, he was still frightened in the accident. Elly described the reason why and what happened at that time, including her nonsense debate with the man.
The hotel's security camera recorded only the man's figure and argument that you two had. Unfortunately, it didn't record the conversation." Alex explained.
"I think the man deliberately stirred up trouble. Even if I were more polite, he would make excuses." Elly spoke his mind.
Alex nodded and agreed. "You know not too many men have been murdered because of a simple sentence." Alex realized that something was wrong.
"Can't you find information about that man?" Elly asked.
It was intentional from the beginning, so he wore a hat very low to avoid showing his facial structures and even expressions on the camera." He regretted letting him go. "Don't worry. I'll take care of it."
When Alex went to the bathroom, a nurse came in to remind her. "It's time to take your medicine."
Elly was surprised, looked at some pills on the tray, and asked questioningly. "What kind of medicine is this? I was in a coma just a while ago because of a lack of oxygen, and the doctor said I didn't need to take medicine."
"Here are the vitamins. The doctor asked me to give them to you." The nurse's attitude was cold, and her hands that held the medicine approached Elly.
Elly felt something was wrong and shook her head firmly. "I don't want to drink that. I'm leaving the hospital."
"Don't say too much. All you have to do is listen to the doctor." The nurse's eyes were apathetic as she impatiently walked faster.
She screamed when she thought there was something wrong with the medicine in the nurse's hand.
"It's not a vitamin! You're not a nurse! Who are you?"
She rushed to the first aid bell and pressed it in horror. The next second, her body was pressed on the bed, her chin was pressed against her mouth, and the nurse's physical strength was much greater than that of Elly.
The nurse's eyes were stern and her voice was vicious. "You are doomed to die!"
Several pills were stuffed into Elly's mouth, and no matter how much she struggled, the medicine softened quickly and quickly dissolved into her throat. The nurse laughed happily, picked up the cup on the table, and kept gushing it into Elly's mouth. "Piss off, bitch!"
"Stop! What are you doing?" Alex came back in time and pulled away from the nurse who forced the glass of water into Elly's mouth.
He hit the nurse in the stomach and asked angrily. "Speak please! Who sent you?"
The nurse did not answer but watched Elly lie on the bed and finish the task with a smile.
When they were notified by the first aid bell, the real nurse of the hospital ran in and looked at the patient lying on the bed. She turned pale and asked anxiously. "Miss Elly, what's wrong with you?"
"My body seems exhausted," she explained aloud and teetering. "She forced me to take medicine."
"What medicine did you gave her?" Alexis hurriedly pulled up the fake nurse's clothes and shouted angrily.
The nurse laughed at him. "Don't waste your time, it's no us. She won't live much longer! Even if I die, I have to drag her into it."
Alex slapped her and smashed her hair directly on the bed. His brain is now occupied by anger, and bloody violence opened the door to her death.
The real nurse screamed in his ear. "Don't fight in the hospital! Take the patient to gastric lavage."
Alex looked at the hospital bed after being reminded by the nurse, clear-headed, and aware that Elly was in a coma.
He threw the fake nurse's body on the ground, hurriedly picked up Elly, and ran to the emergency room.
Watching the emergency room door close, a feeling of fear welled up in his heart. The same fear that he has lost something as important just like what happened in the car accident three years ago.
"This is her second emergency for two days in a row, and she is in danger because you can't protect her." Alex berated himself as he was drowned in his thoughts.
As he crouched in the corridor outside the emergency room, Alex frowned and buried his head in his arms. Now, his mind is confused, panicked, and he blamed himself. So, some missed calls on his phone went unnoticed.
At present, for Alex, nothing is more important than to let Elly get out of danger.
