Chapter 39: I Love You, Elly

Elly hugged her chest, she still couldn't escape her fear, she looked ahead and silently sighed. John stopped right next to the sidewalk, it does not cause an accident.

She passed Secretary Leon's desk, ignored his curious eyes, and knocked on the door of the director's room.

After a minute, Alex said. "Come in" and Elly pushed the door inside.

Alex was standing by the window, with his back to the door, his voice indifferently ordered. "Put documents on the table, I will sign it later." Apparently, he thought the person who entered the room was Leon. Elly looked at his body in an expensive suit, silently admiring Alex as the prince in the eyes of the company's female colleagues.

When Elly did not reply, Alex turned around in annoyance and was startled. He was surprised but after a second, he recovered and a cold expression returned to his face. "You came back for what? Didn't your fiancé pick you up? "

She noticed the sourness in his voice, she was a bit confused. "Sir, are you okay? I did not thank you enough, earlier"

"I'm still alive" He felt even more frustrated and unhappy when he found out that she just came back to say thank you.

Elly saw him loudly, immediately closed the door of the room, stepped closer, and sincerely said. "Sir! Thank you for keeping me safe in the elevator. I was so scared of the dark and it is the first time that I experienced that situation, I was scared. Fortunately, you're there and I also apologize for leaving in a hurry. "

"Did you came back just to tell me this?" Alex does not want to hear her apology and thanks "If that's all, then you can get out of the office."

The cruel expression on his face was gone when he said those sincere words and he became gentle, which scared her. Her brain functioned so fast, she could find a hundred thousand reasons for him not to love her, surely, there were some mistakes here.

Suddenly, she thought of one thing, Elly understood what was going on. "Sir, do you mistake me for Miss Maddy? I heard that she looks like me, there are many strangers were look alike ... "

A pause of Alex made her feel down. Obviously, she wanted to deny his feelings, until she found the exact cause, she was disappointed. She was very disappointed with the man in front of her. She dodged his outstretched hand and stepped back to keep some distance.
