Chapter 293: Chapter 293
Chapter 295 The Remarriage Journey Ends
Elly walked out of the room. She walked up and proceeded to go unto the room that's at the end of the corridor. Patients and nurses are walking up and down the stairs and then stopped outside a spacious room with thick glass walls.
Rosalyn was supported by the oxygen equipment, and her whole body was filled with machinery and clinical apparatus. On the day that Elly woke up, she asked Secretary Gerald about Rosalyn's condition. She could not forget the results that came out of the doctor's mouth relied on Gerald.
"Miscarriage and prolonged blood loss caused serious damage to her body. Nerve damage to the head crushed by a rock may always cause a patient to be in a vegetative state."
The payer of the hospitalization bill by Rosalyn is not Elly or Secretary Gerald. The hospital keeps the information secret, but Elly can guess who it is.
The famous beautiful teacher in the hearts of bachelors is now like a stick, gasping her breath with the help of the machine. Elly wants her to atone for her sins she made to the law, but he is not cruel enough to treat her so mercilessly.
Sighing, Elly turned away.
She knew that Linda Peart didn't like her coming to see Rosalyn, but she couldn't control the evil and selfishness in her heart. The feeling of watching a woman went to bed with Alex, the pain she felt were unimaginable. In order to ease her mood, she needs to see her.
Although Secretary Gerald made it clear that the filmmaker who was close to Rosalyn was Rafael, who wore a human skin mask, but with the same figure as Alex.
Elly walked to the elevator and passed a man in a hoodie. She didn't care much about low-key clothes on a hot day. But it took her only a few seconds to realize that something was wrong, and she turned and ran to chase the man in the hoodie, and grabbed his hat.
The man leaned down quickly, then sprinted and ran up the stairs.
Elly caught up with him as she forcefully seized the corner of his clothes as soon as he ran to the stairs.
"Aron! You're so cruel."
The other person's body stopped, motionless, and remained silent.
"Don't you just want to stare at Alex's crippled body during the day? Now, he hasn't woken up yet to see anyone."
The man in the hoodie turned around. He slowly stretched out his hand and pulled the hood. The whole side of his cheek was scalded, and the skin of the eye socket protruded as he stared at her, feeling that he would only move and fall to the ground.
Elly was too frightened to shout. Her trembling legs made her fall to the floor of the hallway. She clasped her hands down as if she had crawled over in horror.
"What's the matter?" Aron sneered, smiled creepily all over his mouth. His drug-filled burnt wound is not wrapped in bandages, causing the meat and yellow puss inside to move synchronously with the movement of his lips.
"In your eyes, apart from nuisance, there is only fear, isn't it?"
Elly did not answer. She can't form any words to refute his words. Aron sat next to her and reached out to touch her face, but was infuriated by her trembling reaction.
"Don't look at me with such disgusting eyes!"
"... You. I didn't know you would be so evil."
Aron smiled and opened his mouth. His face contorted with malice and his eyebrows frowned.
"Are you saying I should not have my retribution? I have never regretted doing it. Even so, I will not give up."
He leaned sideways and whispered in Elly's ear. "I'll come back and take you away from Alex Hargreaves. Remember that."
"Are you getting out of here?" Elly found the right point of the problem.
"I'm always smart." Aron wanted to touch Elly's hair, but he was knocked down by her that made her nose dripped with blood.
"Why?" Elly asked.
Aron turned his eyes to look at her and pointed to his half-face with terrible burns.
"What about Rosalyn? And... your child? How many times will you still do this? Aren't you willing to give up?" Elly was still afraid. Fear engulfed her whole system and inside, which is evident to her voice that trembled.
"Rosalyn is just a bad pawn. I will let her continue to live unconsciously, which is a punishment for her foolish behavior." Aron stood up, spat cruel words, and extended his hand to Elly.
"Elly, I leaped faith, I finally did what I wanted to, and I don't regret it."
Instead of holding his hand, Elly stood up and kept her distance. Her voice was soft and firm, with determination in her eyes she stressed every word.
"You'll never get a chance to touch your child again. Alex won't give you a chance."
Aron squinted his eyes and couldn't bear to hear his enemy's name. After he stared at her for a long time, he finally turned and walked to the ward where Rosalyn is confined. After a few steps, he turned and said.
"I have something interesting to tell you as a last gift."
When he looked at the helplessness in her eyes, he laughed.
"It's about Emily Russel."
Elly shook her head. She doesn't want her story to haunt her. She does not remember how Emily Russel died in prison.
"Once, she told me personally that Alex had mistakenly thought that the child he played with when he was a kid was Emily. So, he helped Emily and love her. Actually, it's you! Emily Russel took the liberty to enjoy Alex's friendship and became his lover."
When Elly recalled that forgotten in her whole memory, she remembered that she played with a little boy when she was a child, but she didn't know it was Alex. When she first met him, she was sixteen years old, and he appeared as a successful man appeared in the name of Alex Hargreaves. The man's appearance and indifferent personality have no shadow of being a child that she played with at that time. She never thought about it even once.
"No, no, no! Is there anything to prove?"
Emily Russel's identity was exposed based on the small scar on her arm. Aron looked at her arm and asked suspiciously but found that it's non-existent. Alex has been married to you for several years. Why do you have scars on your hands, just like the kid he played with when he was a child, and won't recognize you? He's so stupid."
Elly never told anyone that during their marriage, Alex only touched her when he was very drunk and accidentally made love with her because he thought she is Emily Russel. He was mistaken that night that the next morning, he stabbed Elly's heart with his hurtful words.
It was an unpleasant past. She doesn't want anyone to dig it up.
Everyone has made mistakes, and Elly can't blame Alex for being with Emily Russel- his own sister. He was ruthless to her as his previous wife, let alone made her a humble mistress. Everyone became a youth once, who can't guarantee that every decision is right. As long as we act with heart instead of reason, we're happy.
"Alex fell in love with Emily Russel because she pretended to be his little friend when they were a child. But Alex loves you because you are weak, clumsy, and unreasonably kind. Isn't that a reason to be happier?"
Aron waited for Elly's response, but she was immersed in her thoughts which annoyed him. He turned away and put his hat on his head and walked into the silent corridor. He retreated with a lonely figure.
No one welcomed him in front and no one waited for him.
Elly did not expect that their meeting was the last time that she'll see Aron.
Three days later, Secretary Gerald submitted the materials to Alex Hargreaves' desk.
Aron moved their company abroad.
Elly was surprised and hurriedly took the material and read it quickly.
Secretary Gerald's phone rang and he answered it. His face flushed as if he just heard the good news.
"The hospital called that Alex woke up."
The two of them hurriedly went to the hospital.
Elly was greeted with an eagle-like eye that looked at her affectionately. With tears streaming down her face, she ran into him.
"I've been waiting for you for a long time." She held his hand and burst into tears.
"I heard your proposal whispered into my ears and I couldn't wait but to wake up."
Alex's joke made her looked as red as a tomato. Every night as she waited for him, she always thought about their marriage and talked about their interrupted wedding. She reproached him for keeping her waiting and then begged him that she would be the one who'll offer to marry him as soon as he woke up. What she did not know is that he had heard these words while he was in a coma.
Elly woke up and was taken again for a comprehensive examination. Elly still ran from the hospital to the Hargreaves' company. She oversees and examined the Design Studio that she owned, and went back to the Hargreaves' Manor house. She then took Aunt Mathilda's nutritional soup to visit her man.
One sunny morning, Elly pushed the wheelchair into the hospital courtyard just like what Alex requested. She stopped under the willow tree that bloomed tulips and let him sit in a wheelchair near the stone chair. She came to the leaves and reached out to pick a bunch of beautiful tulips flowers.
Alex shouted as soon as her fingertips touched the petals.
"Elly, be careful!"
She turned around, took care of him, and then looked at the scene with her eyes wide open.
Alex had a bouquet of roses three times the size of his thigh, his head sticking out on the edge of the bouquet, and looked at her with a smile.
"I'm Alex!"
Elly's heartbeat suddenly, and her intuition told her that something special was going to happen. Her screaming mind made her more elated, but she composed her heart and stepped forward to him obediently.
Alex held a bouquet of flowers for Elly who was once Madeline Russel, his wife.
Her heart trembled and her lips quivered with excitement. She bit her lips to prevent herself from squealing. Elly held a bunch of beautiful flowers in her hand as she waited for him.
Alex Hargreaves' took out a luxurious purple velvet box and slowly opened it. A ring sparkled in the sun, like a rope, clinging to the heartstrings in Elly's chest.
His hoarse voice was full of hope, and he told her gratefully.
"Your Majesty, be my wife! I want to be your husband until the next life."
Her trembling heart eased in the sudden applause of the nearby corridor. Alex took the lead, and George Hargreaves, The mother of Alex, Linda Peart, Secretary Gerald, Uncle Geno, and Aunt Mathilda went out respectively. There were warm applause and cheers in the hospital.
"Dad! Kiss her!"
"Mommy Elly promised to marry my crippled father!"
Alex's face suddenly turned sour when he heard the cripple that made the crown boomed with laughter. Startled by the cheers of his son, he kept his face serious with his face that smiled brightly.
Elly stared affectionately at the face of Alex. His physiques are full of masculinity coupled with his eagle eyes that can make any girl swoon. She made up her mind and vowed that she always with her beloved, and felt that her heart was very calm now.
She held out her hand and speak slowly.
"I agree! Alex, I want to be with you for the rest of my life and beyond."
Alex's eyes sparkled with joy. He put the ring on her finger, which trembled uncontrollably.
"Kiss my mom! Kiss her!" The screams of Kitten caused the crowd to burst with a crisp of laughter.
Elly tiptoed and kissed his lips. Her soft voice seeped into Alex's happy heart and leaned into his chest.
"Well, I love you. I'll love you for the rest of my life."
It's Over. After all the things that they've been through, Alex and Elly held an intimate wedding. The two lovers have gotten married in the morning when the sun was rising and watched the sunrise. After all, sunrise symbolizes hope and the beginning of a new day, and a chance for happiness.
"Thank you, God, for your grace, for my family and new life that I'll cherish until my last breath," Alex muttered in himself.
