Chapter 23 Is Madeline alive?

Numerous employees were fired because of Elly. This was a warning to others.

The sudden sound frightened the girl, bumping into the computer mouse caused it to fall off the table.

Alex approached, glaring when realizing that this was a female employee in the assistant room. "It's time to get off work, what are you doing at Elly's seat?"

The employee was embarrassed when Alex came closer, she was confused. "I just want to help, Elly forgot to take the USB, I want to unplug it for her."

"Really?" Alex did not expose her guilt. "After firing some bastards, the solidarity between colleagues has improved."

The female employee trembled, but she can't give up so easily, she took the USB and said. "Elly is having dinner out. I will bring this USB to the restaurant."

Standing in the hotel finding the Data storage USB, Elly was really worried. She didn't found it in every bag. She will need it at the meeting tomorrow, there are many documents she must work on right now.

A knock on the door interrupted her search through her things. Elly dejectedly opened the door thinking that she should return to the company for a trip.

Waiting in front of the door is John. He was dressed in very intellectual and polite retirement clothes, but his face could not hide his fatigue.

When Elly left the house, she didn't tell John where would she stay. She rented a room in a hotel which was near to Hargreaves Company. It was more convenient for her to go to work.

Elly knew John hated The Hargreaves Company, he will never come to places and buildings that were close to The Hargreaves Co.

Thinking of the argument when she moved out, Elly frowned unhappily. "I won't go back to Country S with you. Your stubbornness only aggravates things."
