Three years later

" Mumma, this is so good," Rion said taking a bite from his burger. " Can I have another one, please?" he requested.
Orni denied," No. We are going to have veggies and rice at home. Fast foods are not good for our health." She tried to convince him.
Making a sad face he diverted his concentration on his burger. He doesn't know why his mother is so strict about their diets. She doesn't let them eat all those tasty street foods and fast foods. He doesn't know what is wrong with eating such food.
Orni diverted her eyes at Roman who was eating his fries silently. She noticed him watching somewhere else. His concentration was somewhere else. She followed his eyes. Her eyes got stuck on a family. She noticed a pair of twin boys with their parents. Orni noticed how Roman was looking at the father with his sad longing eyes. The way that father was treating his sons with so much affection, Roman wished his father was with them.
" Mumma, are all the fathers good except mine?" Roman questioned diverting his eyes to Orni.
Orni was perplexed by his question. Her mind couldn't think of any answer. In these three years, she tried her best to not let her sons feel any kind of lacking but she failed to provide them with the happiness that a child feels with his father.
After her surgery, Orni started a new life trying her best to forget VR. But, somewhere deep down inside her heart, she was still stuck with him. However, she told her sons that their father wasn't a good person and that's why the police arrested him. She never said anything in detail but still, this one sentence left a big impact on their innocent mind.
" Why my father is only a bad person, Mumma?" Roman lowered his eyes letting out a sigh while Orni kept sitting like a statue. She has no answer.
Roman waited for an answer from his mother but as usual, except for silence, he got nothing. He wishes he could meet his father and ask him what did he do that his mother hates his father.
" Just eat fast. Your grandpa and grandma must be waiting for us," Orni diverted the topic.
The boys concentrated back on their food while Orni kept looking at them with affectionate sad eyes. She wished she could give them what they want. Their father. She vowed in her mind that she will love them so much that they will never feel the necessity of a father's love. She will sacrifice every single bit of her for her kids' happiness.
" Orni aunty," A baby voice startled Orni.
When she looked frontwards she noticed Niyati and Neela standing in front of their table. Niyati gave Orni a warm smile caressing Rion's head gently.
" How are you, sweetie?" Orni questioned Neela kissing her fluffy cheeks.
Neela smiled," I am good, Aunty."
Neela diverted her concentration on Roman and Rion. The kids started talking about their school and friends. Roman shared his fries with Neela and she shared her chocolates with Roman and Rion.
" You are looking worried. Is everything alright?" Niyati asked Orni noticing the anxiety on Orni's face.
Orni denied forcing a smile on her face," I am alright."
" Yeah, I can see that," Niyati replied letting out a sarcastic sneer. " What happened?" Niyati asked sounding serious.
Orni let out a long sigh. Remaining silent for some time she answered," I don't know why I am feeling so down. I feel like I am failing in life. I don't even know what is bothering me but something is always itching inside me. I don't know what."
" VR is still messing up with your mind, isn't it?" Niyati questioned startling Orni.
Orni shook her head in denial," No. Not at all." She smiled awkwardly.
" Are you sure? Your eyes are indicating something else," Niyati frowned her brows. " Why are you still thinking about the person whom you hate the most?"
Orni sounded confused," Hate or hated the most! I don't know."
" The last time when I met him, he was a completely different person," Orni added. " He was remorseful of his sins."
" Do you want him in your life again?" Niyati asked.
Orni looked into Niyati's eyes with an apprehensive expression. " No," she answered shortly.
" Why would I want him? I don't love him anymore," Orni chuckled before standing. She forwarded her legs to leave.
Niyati held Orni's wrist," I don't know what is bothering you. However, I will pray that you will never regret your decision. I pray that you will not suffer for listening to your heart."

Orni returned home with her kids. Entering the house she was surprised to see Shivansh sitting in the living room with her parents. They were discussing something. But, the moment they felt her presence they stopped discussing.
" Bhaiya, you are here? I just met Neela and Ms Niyati. I thought you went on a business trip," Orni said to Shivansh placing her purse on the table.
Shivansh answered," I just returned a few hours ago."
" Roman and Rion, go to your room and don't come here until I call you," Sanjay ordered his grandchildren which they obliged without any delay.
Orni was surprised after hearing her father's serious voice. She wondered what happened.
" Is everything alright?" Orni asked blinking her eyes.
" Come," Sanjay patted the place beside him. " Sit here."
Orni obliged her father and took the sit beside him. She was confused. Different types of questions started roaming inside her mind.
Srilekha cleared her throat," Well, We want to discuss an important matter with you."
Orni frowned," I am all ears."
" Do you remember the lawyer who fought for you in the court against VR?" Sanjay questioned.
"Rudraksha Joshi?" Orni asked. " Yes, I remember him. What about him?" she wondered why they were talking about her lawyer suddenly.
Shivansh dropped the final bomb," He asked for your hand in marriage."
Orni blinked her eyes repeatedly. It took a few good seconds for her to understand what he did he just say. The moment she understood Shivansh's words she backed away from her father.
" We are thinking of saying yes. But, before that we want to know your opinion," Srilekha said softening her voice.
Orni yelled," I am not going to marry him or anyone else. I am not interested in marriage." She stood up hurriedly.
" How many days are you going to stay single? Don't you think Roman and Rion need a father?" Shivansh tried to convince Orni. " Rudraksh is a good person. I know him personally and........
Shivansh was interrupted by Orni," He might be a gentleman and a good person but still I am not interested in him at all. I want to stay single and raise my kids. I want to focus on my children only and take care of my parents. That's it."
Srilekha turned Orni towards her with a pull," Orni, try to understand. We are not going to live forever. You will need a partner sooner or later. Your kids will grow up and they will have their own lives. They won't stay with you forever. You will need someone's love and affection."
" Rudraksh isn't in a hurry to marry you. He promised that he will give you enough time to know him and decide if you want him as your husband or not," Sanjay said but Orni didn't pay any heed to his words.
Everyone tried their best to convince her but she was firm in her decision. She had suffered in a relationship so much that she was scared to even open up her heart a little bit.
" It's a request," Orni joined her hands in front of them. " Don't force me into an unwanted relationship, please," She cried out and then ran into her room.
Srilekha tried to follow her but Sanjay held Srilekha's hand. He shook her head in denial. " Let's not force her."
" I think she needs more time to move on," Shivansh sighed.
Sanjay said," I know why she isn't ready for marriage."
" Why?" Shivansh and Srilekha questioned at once.
Sanjay replied having a disappointed expression," Because she is waiting for someone."
" Whom?" Srilekha frowned.
Sanjay answered," You won't like my response." Saying that he left them and went to the backyard having a disappointed expression.
