" Where are they taking me?" Orni asked Nadia curiously.

Nadia answered smiling," We are going to bring your baby bears into the world."

" Really!! My baby bears will be with me!! They will play with me. Oh! I am so happy. I am going to love them so much. I will share my dolls with them, I will share my fries with them. I will share everything with them," Orni beamed with happiness when the nurse motioned her wheelchair to the operation theatre.

Today is the delivery date. So, Faiza ordered her daughter to take Orni to the hospital. Faiza wanted to come with Orni but due to some important work, she couldn't come.

" How will they take out my baby bears? They are inside my belly. Won't the babies get hurt?" Orni asked worriedly.

Nadia assured Orni," Don't be worried, Orchi. The doctors know magic. They will take out your babies carefully."

Orni was completely fine until she entered the operation theatre. Reaching there she noticed the doctors with gloves and masks on. She noticed them preparing some injections and it triggered a strong nerve inside her. She recalled some flashbacks where a man was injecting her. She doesn't remember VR but still, she was having some unclear images of VR injecting her with drugs.

" What are you going to do? Are you going to drug me?" Orni asked getting scared.

The doctors shared a confused look when Orni screamed crying," No. No. Don't inject me with drugs. Don't give me bad touches."

She tried to run away but due to her big belly, she couldn't move. Two nurses held her tightly and started trying to calm her down. But, Orni was scared shitless. Looking at the injections she almost peed in her dress.

" Don't hurt me, please. I will be a good girl," Orni requested shedding tears.

One of the doctors assured Orni," Hey, don't be scared. We won't harm you. You are a good girl and nobody doesn't hurt good girls. So, don't be afraid."

" Don't inject me with drugs," Orni requested nodding her head vigorously.

The doctor replied giving her an affectionate smile," This isn't any harmful drug. It's good medicine. If you want to meet your baby bears then I have to inject you with medicine."

" You won't give me bad touches, right?" Orni asked innocently.

The doctors assured touching Orni's nose playfully," I won't, silly girl."

After that, the anesthesiologist gave her anaesthesia and Orni lost consciousness. Her babies were delivered through the C section and the babies were healthy & fine. Once the babies were born, they were shifted to the nursery while Orni went through major surgery. Her uterus was removed.

A few hours later Orni gained her senses back and felt extremely light. She felt her stomach empty and that's when she realised that her babies aren't in her belly anymore. A desperate expression appeared on her face to see her baby bears.

She tried to get up when a nurse said," Hey, don't get up. You need proper rest."

" Where are my baby bears? I want to meet them," Orni said sounding desperate.

The nurse replied politely," Your babies are in the nursery and they are fine. You can meet them later. For now, you should take a rest only."

" Please, let me meet them. I want to see them. They must be missing me too," Orni said and started crying.

And, then in front of Orni's desperate cries to let her meet her children the nurse gave up. She shifted Orni to a wheelchair and took her to the nursery where the kids were sleeping while hugging one another.

" Here are your babies. You gave birth to twin boys," The nurse said showing Orni a baby cot.

Looking at the infants Orni felt something which she couldn't describe in words

Looking at the infants Orni felt something which she couldn't describe in words. Automatically, she felt a protective feeling over them and an unexpected smile formed at the corner of her lips. She felt extremely happy seeing the infants. Her heart was overjoyed seeing the infant's tiny pink legs, hands and fluffy cheeks.

" They are so tiny," Orni whispered touching one of their fluffy cheeks and the baby stirred in his sleep.

The nurse chuckled seeing Orni's curious face and said," Of course, infants are tiny and adorable."

Orni was touching the babies but suddenly, one baby held Orni's finger and Orni became nervous. She tried to take her fingers away but the baby wasn't letting her go. He was tightly holding his mother's finger.

" He loves you

" He loves you. Why won't he? After all, you are his Mumma," The nurse said and Orni looked at the babies with affectionate eyes.

Orni asked the nurse," I saw the mamma bear holding her baby bears. Can I hold them?"

" Why not?" The nurse replied and then settled the babies into Orni's chest.

Smiling brightly Orni whispered in their air," Roman & Rion. From this onward, you are my new friends. No....No.... I am the Mumma of my baby bears."

While Orni was busy hugging her babies and flooding their faces with adorable kisses, Faiza was talking to that childless couple who came to adopt the babies. Faiza was ready to give the babies while the doctor interrupted.

" These infants shouldn't be away from their mother because they will be needing their mother's milk," The doctor said.

The lady said," Doctor, we can give them bottled milk, right?"

" If you want to lose them forever then you can give them bottled milk. The nurses already tried to feed formula to the infants but they refused to drink it," The doctor informed and everyone became nervous.

Then, the doctor suggested," Let the kids be with their mother for 6 months until they start taking other foods as well."

" That's a long time," The lady whined looking at her husband with desperate eyes.

The guy tried to say something when Faiza said," If you guys can be patient for 12 years then I think it's not a big deal for you guys to spend 6 months more. After 6 months the kids be with you as I promised earlier."

" Ok, remember your promise. If you fail to fulfil your promise then there will be taken legal actions against you," The woman said while Faiza only nodded her head.

Holding the pen VR's hand was trembling and his whole face was pale. His eyes were almost teary and his lips were shaking slightly. Looking at the papers he felt like his heart was crumbling inside his chest.

" Mr Mehra, sign the papers. Ms Niyati has already signed. Once you sign the papers, you & Ms Niyati will be married legally," the lawyer reminded VR while he just closed his eyes.

Opening his eyes he looked at Niyati and found her looking outside with teary eyes. He knew why she is crying and a long sigh left his mouth. His eyes landed on her pregnant belly and he thought for some time. Then, he signed the papers in one go and felt something shattering inside him.

" Now, you guys are married legally," The lawyer announced.

Well, VR and Niyati did court marriage. The circumstances turned complicated that they had to agree to this marriage. Niyati married VR because she has nowhere to go and society was raising fingers at her character. After losing everything it was VR who stood beside her like a true friend.

Just like Niyati, VR has his own reasons to help Niyati. He noticed how much vulnerable is Niyati. He wondered where will she go after her baby's birth, and what will she do? She has no job, no place to stay. She had nothing. Thinking about Niyati's unborn baby VR agreed to this marriage.

For him, it's his redemption. He couldn't save Orni and his baby. Niyati reminds him of Orni and that's why he decided to help her. He failed Orni but he won't let another woman go through hell whose husband left her in this crucial situation. He just hopes Orni will forgive him after seeing his redemption.

VR's eyes met with Niyati and both of them shared a sorrowful look. Taking a long breath Niyati caressed her belly while VR rubbed his forehead out of nervousness. Both of them agreed already that they won't consummate this marriage because they don't love each other. Niyati married VR to secure the future of her baby while VR married her to redeem himself.

" Ranvijay, I don't know how I am going to thank you. You have done so much for me that a mere thank yo................" Niyati couldn't finish her sentence and started crying.

She hiccupped clutching the hem of her dress," The person who promised to protect me, stand beside my side and love me.......Just abandoned me!!"

" Even though you are a stranger, you helped me, sheltered me and promised to protect me & my baby! I don't know how will I return this favour of yours. You are a good human, Ranvijay. You appeared in my life like an Angel. I am glad that I met someone like you," Niyati finished saying while VR was silent all the time. He was just looking down.

He whispered letting out a painful chuckle," I am no better than your ex-husband. I did the same with my wife. I promised to protect her, love her........but...... I failed."

" Did you say something?" Niyati asked VR to see him mumbling something with an inaudible voice.

Nodding his head in the negative, VR said softly," Today you have an appointment with the doctor? Won't you go?"

" Oh, I almost forgot," Niyati answered and forwarded her legs to leave.

But, she slipped her leg and almost fall to the ground. But, VR held her and then helped her stand up. Both of them shared an awkward look. VR took away his hand from Niyati's waist and looked down.

" Let's go. I will drop you at the hospital," He said to wipe out this awkwardness.

VR got startled when Niyati held his hands and whispered with teary eyes," Thank you so much."
