" Why did you call me urgently? What's the matter?" VR questioned Dr Roshni who was sitting on the chair holding Orni's medical reports.

Forwarding her hands she gave the reports to him and he took them frowning his brows. Though he tried to act normal, he couldn't hide the anxiety in him.

" Since you told me to monitor your wife's health every day I get to know something very serious about her," Dr Roshni said and VR gulped down nervously.

He looked at her questioningly when she continued," Yesterday, I did a full body checkup of your wife and got to know that she has an abnormal uterus. Not only that but also there is a tumour in it."

" What? Tumour?" VR mumbled widening his eyes and a chill ran down his spine.

Dr Roshni nodded her head when he questioned worriedly," Tumours can be removed through operations right?"

" Yes.......But......" Dr Roshni hesitated and he growled banging his hands on the table," But, what?"

Then, Dr Roshni started explaining," The tumour in Orni's uterus has gone to its last stage and it's in the beginning stage of cancer. That's why Orni was having irregular and painful periods. With passing time the cancer cells will spread throughout her every reproductive organ and eventually it will kill her."

VR was stunned after hearing Dr Roshni. He wasn't understanding what to say right now. A sudden pang was felt by him right in his chest hearing that Orni may die. Though he threatened her that he will her, he didn't mean it. He was angry which led him to say that.

" How can I save her? There must be some way to save her, right?" VR questioned and Dr Roshni rolled her eyes seeing his anxious eyes for Orni.

She replied professionally," The only way to save her is surgery. We have to remove her uterus through surgery. In that case, she will lose the ability to be a mother. She will be barren."

This time VR was speechless. Though he didn't want any children with her, he never even imagined in his dream that something like that will happen. His mind travelled back in time when he and Orni used to dream of a big family. He recalled Orni's words when she wished to have twin boys with him. He doesn't know how she will feel after hearing it. VR couldn't think anymore and lowered his eyes having a disturbed expression.

" But, there is a way to save her as well as her motherhood," Dr Roshni said and VR's eyes lit up.

Raising his head, he looked at her with hopeful eyes when she started explaining," A girl becomes physically prepared to have a child around 15-16 years old. So, in that case, if Orni conceives and everything goes well then we can do the surgery and delivery together. We will deliver her child through the C section and then we will remove her uterus. By doing so Orni will be saved as well as her motherhood."

Silence. It was just silence from VR's side. His mind wasn't working properly after hearing Dr Roshni. Rubbing his forehead he lowered his head and automatically the doctor's words continued buzzing inside his head.

" This is the only way to save Orni," Dr Roshni reminded and VR raised his head.

He replied sighing," I will come later."

Saying that VR stood up and forwarded his legs to leave the room. He was walking slowly since his mind was filled with various types of thoughts. He wasn't concentrating where he was walking and then bumped into a table. Groaning in pain he kicked the table to vent his frustration and Dr Roshni felt peace seeing him in pain.

" And, another thing," Dr Roshni said when he turned at her with annoyed eyes.

She said having a pitiful expression," The drugs you are using for Orni are very lethal. Very soon you will get to see the side effects of it. So, I suggest you stop drugging her before it's too late."

Hearing her, VR just stared at her for some time and Dr Roshni expected to hear a positive reply from him. But, to her utter disappointment, he didn't say anything further. He just left silently.

" Orni mam.........Orni mam.........where are you?" The female guards are calling Orni by her name but there is no trace of her in the whole house.

Ranvijay shouted Orni's name for the nth time," Orni, where are you, shortie?"

Well, since morning Orni is missing. VR left early in the morning and after his leaving there is no trace of Orni like she has vanished in the air. The guards, maids and Ranvijay are searching for her for hours but their attempts were going in vain. They haven't informed VR yet that Orni is missing because no one wants to face VR's wrath.

" VR sir will kill us if we fail to find out Orni mam," One of the female guards said to Ranvijay having a panicked expression on her face.

Another one requested Ranvijay," Sir, please do something. I don't want to lose my head."

" What can I do? I also don't know about Orni's whereabouts. I don't know any witchcraft to bring her back," Ranvijay shouted getting annoyed and the guards lowered their heads.

Suddenly, they heard a screaming from the abandoned side of this house. Without wasting another second they rushed towards there and stiffed in their place seeing the scenery in front of them.

They found Orni who was hiding on this balcony holding one of her teddy bears. A female guard found her and when she tried to touch Orni, she screamed at the top of her lungs getting scared.

" Please, don't touch me.....Don't.....give me....bad....touch," Orni hiccupped curling herself into a ball and everyone was dumbfounded by her words.

Another guard tried to touch her when she pleaded crying," Please, don't touch me there. It hurts."

Last night's incident has started haunting Orni. Though she doesn't remember those women's faces clearly, she can still feel their touches all over her body. She also remembers that those people were female and that's why she is getting scared of every female around her. She was getting scared of the guards fearing that they might assault her.

" Mam, calm down. None of us will hurt you," One of the guards tried to console her but her crying increased.

Hugging the teddy bear tightly she flinched backwards and didn't let anyone touch her. She was crying and sometimes throwing her hands and feet everywhere like a child. And, her actions were making the audience more shocked with every passing second.

" Orni....Orni.....look....it's me..... Ranvijay," Ranvijay said crouching down Orni's level who was hiding behind the huge teddy bear.

Peeping slightly she noticed Ranvijay and continued staring at him for some time. He offered his hands to her but she was hesitating to hold his hand. Suddenly, she remembered the times she spent with him and slowly placed her hand on his hand.

Pulling her towards him, he hid her inside his chest and she clutched his shirt tightly. Feeling his gentle caress on her back she stopped sobbing.

" Why are you scared, Orni?" Ranvijay questioned stroking her hair.

She replied meekly," They give me bad touch just like him."

" Whom?" Ranvijay asked curling his brows.

Orni replied gulping down," Vijendra."

" You have a lot to answer, dear brother," Ranvijay mumbled hearing her and tightening his protective hold around her body.

On the other hand, Srilekha was holding another video recorder having an emotionless expression on her face. She just saw another video of Orni and this time the video recorder was handed to her by an unknown man just like the previous time.

Flushing the recorder into the toilet she came outside of the washroom and stood in the middle of the room. She wasn't crying like the previous time like her tears had dried down in her duct. Her daughter was being abused non-stop and except for the crying, she was failing to do anything. She was feeling so pathetic, so helpless which she couldn't describe in words.

She realized one thing there is someone who really hates her and using Orni to hurt her. After thinking for a long time she couldn't find someone like that who really hates her. She thought about VR but the question is why will he hurt Orni? According to her, he doesn't know that she has a daughter.

Srilekha also realized that if she keeps breathing then the person won't stop hurting Orni. So, she decided to stop breathing and free Orni from hell as well as herself. Holding a knife in her hand she closed her eyes when a few drops of tears escaped her eyes.

Wiping away the tears hurriedly she took a deep breath and remembered Orni & Sanjay's faces. Tears tried to escape her eyes again but she controlled them.

" Orni, my baby. Please, forgive your ma. I couldn't protect you," Srilekha mumbled clutching the knife tightly.

Then, she said remembering Sanjay's face," I loved you and will love you forever. Maybe in the afterlife, I will be with you. I love you, Sanju."

Slitting her wrist she fell to her knees. A painful smile appeared on her face and slowly she fall to the ground with a thud sound. Blood started spreading all over the floor when she closed her eyes slowly hoping for her daughter's well being and a better life in heaven.
