Author's pov

" My baby! Someone is hurting her," Srilekha screamed like a madwoman when Indrajit tried to console her.

She was hospitalised after losing consciousness. The moment she got her senses back she began to cry. Now, it's been hours since she is crying and yelling for her child.

Indrajit asked very affectionately wiping away her tears," Little dove, would you tell me who told you that someone is hurting your baby?"

" I don't trust you. You will also hurt her. I won't say anything to you," Srilekha refused to say anything and Indrajit lost control over his temper.

Yanking her hair behind he shouted on her face," Bitch, tell me everything and stop wasting my time. You are getting on my nerves. You really need to get fucked hard to get back to your senses."

" Sir, what are you doing? You can't behave like that to a traumatised patient," A nurse told Indrajit and shoved him away from Srilekha.

Pointing her finger outside Srilekha hiccupped looking at the nurse," My baby must be crying. I want to save her but I don't know where is she now and who is hurting her. Please, help me."

" Don't cry. Everything will be ok," The nurse consoled Srilekha when she hugged the nurse's waist.

Looking at Indrajit with disappointment the nurse said," I am giving her an injection. It will relax her for some time."

" Give me one too. Her tantrums and crying are just becoming a pain in my ass," Indrajit mumbled rubbing his forehead and sitting down on the nearby chair.

Closing his eyes he leaned on the headrest when he heard VR saying," You don't need injections. You need some fresh bullets inside this shithead."

" You said something?" Indrajit questioned raising his brows and VR chuckled awkwardly.

He replied entering the room," I just said you are getting younger day by day."

" I haven't lost my hearing sensation yet, boy. Be grateful that I am not in the mood to discipline you," Indrajit warned and VR rolled his eyes mentally.

Diverting his gaze towards Srilekha he found her sleeping. He felt a soothing sensation inside his chest seeing her tear-stained distressed face. He looked at Indrajit with side-eyes and found him way too worried. It's the first time he is seeing Indrajit so much anxious for someone. VR mentally danced after seeing two of his enemies in misery.

" Why are you here?" Indrajit questioned VR curiously.

'To see you guys in pain' VR wanted to say this but didn't utter it since he doesn't want to finish this game so soon.

VR replied showing his fake concern," I heard that Mrs Randhawa is hospitalised. So, I just wanted to see her if she is fine or not. No matter what she is also a family member."

Indrajit blinked his eyes after hearing VR. He looked at him from head to toe trying to be confirmed if it was his son or not. VR is concerned for Srilekha! Indrajit couldn't digest this sudden change.

" Did she inject something in you too? You are considering Srilekha as a family member. Lol!!" Indrajit asked sarcastically pointing his finger to the nurse.

VR answered getting annoyed," Think whatever you want to think. Anyway, I will be going now. I hope that Mrs Randhawa will be alright soon."

Saying that VR left the room and a crooked smile appeared at the corner of his lips. Recalling Srilekha's tear-stained face he felt a sadistic satisfaction.

" I can't wait to give her another shock," VR thought evilly when Orni's face flashed in front of him.

Immediately an anxious expression appeared on his face. Recalling Orni's crying face he started pulling his hair in total frustration. Walking towards a wall he started banging his hands and cursing his fate.

" Orni can't be that whore's daughter. Maybe Akash didn't investigate properly, "thinking that VR called Akash and ordered him to meet him.

When Akash met VR, he told Akash about his turmoil and doubt about Orni's mother. Akash was very disappointed when he got to know that VR is doubting his investigation.

" I have been working for you since my teenage years. Till now I never disappointed you. It's the first time you are saying that I might have investigated wrong," Akash said sighing.

VR answered taking a puff from the cigarette," I am not doubting your professionalism. One wrong piece of information can cost me a lot of things."

" Fine. Why don't we just do a DNA test?" Akash said and VR instantly agreed.

Nodding his head Akash said," Give me a few days and the truth will be in front of you."

VR hummed when Akash left the place hurriedly. Throwing the cigarette under his feet, VR smudged it thinking about something.

" I just hope the DNA report turns out to be negative," VR mumbled worriedly.

After few days

Orni's pov

One of the female bodyguards said helping me while I tried to stand up," Slowly, don't put too much pressure."

" What's your name?" I asked forwarding my wobbly legs to the balcony. It's been two days since I can stand up.

She replied softly," Kiara."

" Lovely name, Kiara di(sister)," I said and she looked at me very emotionally.

It's been days since Vijendra married me forcefully and locked me inside this house. I don't know where is this house since it wasn't his previous house.  He didn't let me meet my father and never told me where is my father.

I thought that he will torture me every day but he didn't do anything yet which was quite surprising for me as well as relieving for me. He didn't even touch me sexually and I can't tell how much glad I am about it. Every day he would feed me, bath me, braid my hair and take care of me properly. And, every night he would sleep cuddling with me.

I am not understanding his behaviour at all. He doesn't talk much with me and it seems like he is depressed about something. It's not like I am melting because of his gentle behaviour. It's just I am curious.

Whenever he is not around me he would order the female guards to be with me all the time. He knows that I could barely stand up but still he thinks that I will try to run away. Jerk!! Among the guards, Kiara is way too concerned for me and that's what I like about her.

I requested him to take me to my father but he didn't. He said that I am his wife now and I should only think about him no one else. He doesn't even take me outside. I am feeling like a prisoner inside this house. I am suffocating and I don't know how I will escape this house.

" Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked Kiara who was still staring at me with emotions.

Pulling my cheeks softly she replied smiling," You remind me of my dead sister. She was just like you. A cute bear."

" Dead! I am really sorry," I said softening my eyes and she looked down.

Then, I asked her wondering where did Vijendra found her," How do you know Vijendra?"

Taking a long breath she started saying, "A few years ago my younger sister married a man. I was against this marriage since she was underage. She left my house for her husband and after some days I came to know that her husband murdered her just because she became an obstacle between him and his other girlfriends. I couldn't tolerate this and killed him right in the middle of the road. Police arrested me and I learned basic martial arts in jail. Somehow I got in touch with Akash who taught me about the weapons and finally, I met the most feared gang leader Vijendra Randhawa. Seeing my skills he chose me as your bodyguard."

" Oh!!" That's what I could utter after hearing her tragic story.

After that, both of us became silent for some time. Looking outside I started longing to go outside, meet my father and go back to my school. Thinking about my previous life I started crying silently.

" You want to escape, right?" Kiara asked and I nodded my head in the positive.

I replied meekly," I want to meet my father. I want to go away from Vijendra. I have endured enough of his madness. Not anymore."

" I have an idea for you," she said and I looked at her with hopeful yet shocking eyes.

Author's pov

VR was standing like a statue while holding the DNA report. His whole face was emotionless and his eyes were looking dead.

" I told you that Orni mam is Srilekha's Randhawa's daughter. See the DNA report," Akash said and VR remained silent.

Throwing the report on the floor VR lit it on fire and closed his eyes tightly. Clenching his fist tightly he continued standing like a mute for some time. Akash tried to say something when VR ordered him to leave the place.

No sooner had Akash left the place than VR started destroying everything in the room. He was behaving like he was possessed by some kind of demon.

" I can't torture her. I can't........ I love her," Shouting angrily he continued destroying everything.

It was midnight when VR reached the house where he kept Orni. Reaching the room he found her sleeping. Looking at her innocent sleepy face he smiled sadly. He laid down beside her silently and closed his eyes for some peace.

" What's wrong? Why are you upset?" Orni asked stroking his hand and he looked at her shockingly.

He thought she won't talk to him or give him disgusting glares just like every other day but to his utter surprise, she was concerned for him. Her eyes were soft and showing affection for him.

He blinked his eyes trying to understand her when she asked stroking his cheek," I am your wife. You can share everything with me."

" Angel, do you really love me? Even after whatever I did that day?" He questioned and sat back impatiently for her answer.

Orni smiled hearing him and sat back too. Moving slowly towards him she sat right into his lap and he was startled by her sudden change in behaviour. Circling her hands around his neck she looked into his eyes.

" Can't we start everything afresh? Just like we used to dream. Can't you be the guy whom I loved actually? Can't you be the guy who was sweet, caring and gentle to me?" Orni asked emotionally shedding some tears and VR was overwhelmed.

Looking into her eyes he forgot everything. Whatever his mother installed inside him. He forgot about revenge and melted looking at her eyes. He forgot whose daughter is she and what he was supposed to be doing with her.

" I am sorry, Angel. I am so sorry. I won't hurt you again. I was blinded by rage. Please, forgive me," He apologized with his heavy voice.

Kissing his forehead she placed his head on her chest and he closed his eyes.



He tightened his hold around her body and her body fragrance soothed his disturbed mind.

" Sleep, babe," Orni said affectionately stroking his hair.

On the other hand, Orni's father Sanjay reached the police station like a madman. He was discharged from the hospital and VR told him to forget about Orni. VR told him that Orni is now his wife and only he has rights over her. No one else. Not even her father.

" I want to meet ACP Roy," Sanjay told one of the constables.

The constable ignored Sanjay and replied lazily," He hasn't come yet. If you want to file a complaint then talk to the inspector."

" Didn't you hear me? I want to meet ACP Roy. Without meeting him I won't leave," Sanjay yelled banging on the table and the constable lost his temper.

Glaring at Sanjay he threatened," Stop shouting otherwise I will throw you inside the jail."

Sanjay replied without any fear in his voice," I am not afraid."

" This son of bitch," the constable screamed and raised his hand to punch Sanjay.

Before he could even touch Sanjay a strong hand stopped him. Sanjay looked frontwards and found a tall handsome man who was standing in Police uniform.

The man introduced himself to Sanjay, "I am ACP Roy. Tell me how can I help you?"

" Sir, please save my daughter. VR has kidnapped her," Sanjay requested to ACP Roy whose blood boiled hearing VR's name.
