Chapter 19: Chapter 19

I woke up the next morning, stretching with a tired sigh, I hadn't slept well last night, I wasn't surprised though, ever since I was young, I usually found it hard going to sleep whenever I spent the night out, I tended to have a hard time calming down my alert senses that identified we were in a strange environment or on a strange bed. I sighed again, getting up, I had a class by 1pm today, there was no hurry, changing into a tank top and gym pants I grabbed my head phones and left my room.

On my way to the ground floor, I was greeted respectfully by the few people I came across although they didn't overdo it, thankfully. Getting out of the elevator I was directed to the gym by a nice girl, the only girl there actually, it seems not much people were up, I couldn't blame them though, it was just 5am, even I wouldn't be up so early if I had actually managed to get any sleep, I sighed in annoyance.

I swiped my key card unlocking the door I was directed to, hearing the click I was grateful my card granted me access, else I would've had to either wake up a grumpy Mia or a naked Dan, which was something I didn't want to deal with right now, btw yeah, Dan mostly slept naked, the day I found out added one more horrifying battle scar to my brave heart, one I carry till this day, shuddering in horror at the memory, I shoved it outta my mind and entered the gym.

Switching on the lights, I gasped in awe at the sight, my face morphing into an excited grin, this was officially my favorite place in this mansion, although I admittedly didn't really know much places within the mansion, I'd only been through the hallways, in the elevator, to my room, the dining hall and then Mia's and Dan's rooms, anyways I'd go with what I have for now, now back to my gasp of awe.

I looked around once more, in short it could be rated as a five star gym, one of those top rated gyms, the interior alone would make anyone want to plant their roots right here so they didn't have to leave, especially someone like me, it wasn't necessarily as huge as I expected considering the population of the pride but it was definitely extravagant, that's for sure, how could something people used as a multi million dollar business be a personal gym within someone's mansion

I mean I was already complaining about the amazing gym back at our apartment that the twins insisted on but this, this was something else, apart from the outstanding decor, the gym was well equipped, it literally had everything, from the most common equipments to the most unique, from the basic free weight machines, benches, squat racks, dumbbells, tread mills, elliptical machines, and a perfectly punchable looking punching bag, to odd machines like the roman chair and lower back extension etc, the list went on and on .

Everything was well positioned so the gym didn't look cluttered and there was enough space for free movement, the lighting in the gym was dim, though not too dim but not too bright either, it was just the way I liked it, there was an expensive looking sound system at the far end and I grinned again heading towards it, I put my headphones aside, connecting my phone to the sound system, scrolling through my phone and settling on my play list restricted for work outs, Eminem's loose yourself sounded from the speakers, I gave the gym walls an intense examination, sound proof, Good, I turned the music up just the way I liked it and headed to that punching bag, however in my excitement, I had totally forgotten the fact that I had left the gym door slightly ajar.

~Jaylen's POV~

I woke up to the sound of loud music, checking the time

"5:10." I sighed in annoyance, shutting my eyes and covering my sensitive ears with my pillow, hoping that whoever that was would sensibly turn that off before I decide dealing with them was more important than my bed right now, to my dismay, it didn't stop.

I waited it out for as long as I could, but all I got instead of the peaceful silence I was craving was a constant change in the music, I checked the time again, "6:10" ,

"what the hell?" I growled in annoyance, whoever that was has kept this up for an hour straight, he probably woke up the whole house by now and mind you in this mansion, a certain lion's mate was probably trying to have her beauty sleep and that certain Lion wasn't appreciating this nuisance that was probably bothering his little mate....that certain Lion was me, standing up with an annoyed growl, I pulled on a shirt and matched purposefully to the source.

Getting out the elevator, I locked eyes with Talon, sighing in annoyance

"could this morning get any worse?" I asked him blankly and he shrugged,

"well I probably wouldn't cross paths with you if you hadn't taken so long to get out of bed and get this house quiet again, in my defense I waited in my room to hear you going out first, when you didn't, I decided to resolve it myself, I know it's not my house and all but myself, my warriors and pack members and you know who need their rest.", I rolled my eyes at his response, brushing past him and heading towards the source which was the gym or more accurately my personal gym, I heard Talon follow behind me probably curious to know who the hell was daring enough to do this shit, I didn't blame him, I was too.

Getting there, a small angry crowd was already gathered outside the door, the stone twins and a laughing Grey although sleepy seemed to have taken up positions, standing protectively in front of the door, although judging from the looks of the crowd, for some reason, no one actually seemed to dare go in, and it sure as hell wasn't because of the sleepy warriors at the door, at the sight of us, the crowd parted and Grey started laughing again, I glared at him before pushing past the three of them and shoving the door wide open.

My jaws dropped open in shock at the sight before me and a glance at Talon showed his expression mirrored mine,

"surprise!" Grey whispered hysterically before bursting out into laughter again, I still didn't understand what he found funny though, because rather than crack me up, the sight before me had me hardening in secret places, noticing how he studied I and Talons expressions before falling over with laughter, the stone twins and some others joining him this time, I finally understood his mirth.

My queen stood within the gym, the dim lighting giving her an other worldly glow, she wore a tank top that still showed off her toned stomach, with no jacket on this time the flawless almond skin on her lower back was also on full display, but what had me practically convulsing with need was the powerful punches and kicks she was throwing at that punching bag, her skin glowing with a light sheen of sweat.

My tongue came out to wet my lips at the sudden need to taste her, I didn't even want to start repeating the unmentionable words and thoughts my Lion was thinking to me right now, despite all this, she seemed oblivious to the attention she had not just drawn but kept as I finally noticed the mob still hadn't left but some were actually given my mate looks of lust, a deadly growl from me and a get lost from Talon was all it took to have them all scampering away, the stone twins and Grey inclusive.

I couldn't take my eyes off her, her routine was swift and constant, leaving no room for a counter attack, each punch and kick were thrown purposefully and with enough force behind them the punching bag rattled on the chain holding it, I couldn't help but wonder how someone so small could have the amount of force I was currently witnessing within them, I made up my mind there and then that getting on her bad side was the last thing I wanted.

I picked up the scent of Talon's arousal and I growled lowly, fighting to calm myself, he was going through the same conflict as well as I could see his eyes flashing as his wolf tried to take over, my Lion wasn't helping me either.

My jaws dropped again as she executed a perfect spinning back kick, the bag flew right off the chain and she smirked sexily, dusting her hands, she walked to the fridge, grabbing a bottle of water, and taking a sip, my gaze followed the drop that trickled down her chin, I wet my dry lips again, wondering if something was wrong with the air conditioning here, why was this place heating up, I ignored my Lion's response of something along the lines of "it's not the air conditioning, it's our sexy, hot as fuck flame over there, which if you just take a few steps we can let her consume us with her flames." I was admittedly surprised at my usually cool and collected Lion, my eyes were drawn back to the bobbing of her throat as she swallowed, and then to the little red muscle she slipped out of her mouth to catch the escaped droplets and with how fast my heart was beating I briefly wondered if a shifter could experience heart failure.

I froze when her sexy voice rang out in a lazy drawl,

"are you both gonna keep standing there or are you gonna make your presence known?", we both exchanged a look before walking in slowly, once we were a good distance from her, we both stopped and she chuckled lightly,

"how long have you known we were standing there?" I asked sheepishly and she chuckled again, placing the cap over her bottle of water,

"I should've realized it sooner that's for sure, I got a little too carried away, when I noticed you both, it seemed you had already been there for sometime, what gave you away again, oh right, the moment I felt eyes practically fucking me where I stood." she said nonchalantly, turning to us with a raised brow.

"Sorry about that, we didn't mean to intrude." I said, a little shocked at her bluntness whilst passing an annoyed glare to Talon, now that I was slowly snapping out of the lust haze, his presence was beginning to seriously irk me, he sighed but didn't return my look, keeping his gaze on her,

"it's okay, something tells me, y'all had a rude awakening, I didn't shut the door did I?" She asked glancing at the door, we both nodded, she grimaced, before flashing us an apologetic smile .

"I'm sorry about that, it skipped my mind, damn, with how much I turned up that music I probably woke the whole mansion." she said with a sigh, I nodded in accent to her words and she grimaced again,

"it's alright though, I'm sure being deprived a few hours of sleep wouldn't kill them." Talon assured, she gave him a slight smile, and honestly rather than being okay with it, I wished I was jealous instead, she grabbed a towel, wiping her sweat.

"please send everyone an apology from me though." she requested, I smiled, sending a mindlink instantly, tuning back in to meet her patient smile,

"done." I said and she nodded gratefully turning to Talon he smiled with a nod and she returned the smile,

"thanks guys, I have to go now, I really need a shower, catch you both inna bit, maybe for breakfast?" She asked walking towards the exit,

"yea, sure." I replied eagerly and she laughed, that was when my brain processed the you both and I frowned, my features hardening, I noticed Talon glance at me turning his gaze away instantly at my sharp glare, I was drawn out of it by words that banished me to a fate of an immediate cold shower, she had halted in her steps pondering for a bit without turning before saying,

"you know rather than stand outside and mentally strip me naked, next time maybe you should just ask, it'd be alot easier if I did the stripping myself, physically of course and who knows, if you asked nicely enough, I might just be agreeable." throwing a wink over her shoulder, she walked out of the gym with a sexy sway of her hips, I and Talon exchanged a look absent mindedly, before heading for our respective rooms all hot and bothered, I think at this point Talon and I could agree on one thing, we were both doomed.
