~Jaylen's POV~

I followed her scent through the building and ended up in the kitchen, getting in I noticed my mom was there, probably showing off her amazing cooking skills to Ana, smiling as I saw her stuffing her face with sandwiches. I took a seat across from her and she looked up at me, offering me a small smile that had my heart pounding, my mom placed a plate pilled with sandwiches before me and I shook my head pushing it away, I hadn't been feeling up to eating this past week, Leo walked in as my mom sent Ana a pointed look, she nodded at my mom before swallowing and turning to glare at me, I raised a brow and she gestured at the plate of food I had set aside, slapping Leo's hand away, I chuckled shaking my head and her glare intensified.

She moved the plate to my front,

"eat." she instructed, leaving no rooms for argument, my Lion purred at this and I sighed,

"eat and then we talk." she promised and I picked up a fork, she rolled her eyes at me, as she picked up another sandwich and I chuckled, eating slowly, she was done soon enough, standing up and going to wash her hands, she came back and took her seat, glaring at me,

"how long exactly do you plan on taking with that?" She asked gesturing to the pile of food that still didn't show a difference, I shrugged and she stood up

"knowing I might not be coming back here anytime soon, maybe I should go...." She trailed off and my eyes widened as I stood up but started coughing due to the force, Leo laughed loudly and I glared at him but smiled as she came to my side rubbing my back softly to ease my discomfort, her brows creased in worry,

"hey, hey relax, I'm not going anywhere." she assured and I grinned taking my seat.

"What a baby, choking to get attention huh, why don't you just ask her to feed you?" Leo grumbled annoyed things were going my way, I glared at him

"shut up." I growled, he smirked at me,

"you know I'm not totally against that idea." Ana said referring to Leo's suggestion to feed me, I looked up at her in shock meanwhile my Lion was victory dancing within me, Leo's smirk fell off his face and we all laughed at his expression, when the laughter died down, I looked up at her hopefully and she rolled her eyes at me,

"maybe if you're good and eat well today, I'll consider it some other time." I sighed in devastation and she laughed, I couldn't help the smile that tugged at my lips, she was so beautiful and here she was, right in front of me, and deep within me, I couldn't help the hope that spurred to life, that may be, despite everything, she'd be willing to have me.

We had finished eating for the past 10 minutes and I still didn't know what to say, I began wondering exactly what I was thinking when I said I wanted to talk to her, I only wanted her to stay for a bit. Suddenly she started laughing and I looked at her puzzled,

"you should see your face right now, you don't have to say anything if you don't know what to say, I understand, I also know you just wanted me to stay a bit longer, why don't we go for a walk in the woods, it's been a while for me." she suggested and I nodded eagerly, standing up and leading the way out to the woods.

We had been walking for some minutes. She seemed lost in thoughts, after a while she took a deep breath in, spread her arms and closed her eyes, I couldn't help staring in awe, she looked so peaceful and serene, so innocent I feared I would never be worthy of her,

"it's gonna be okay you know, it'll all work out in the end, I promise." she said to me softly, then moved closer and wrapped her arms around me in a comforting hug that had me feeling warm and fuzzy within, I couldn't tell what exactly she was talking about but somehow, I believed her and all the walls I had built round my broken heart for the past 5 years came crumbling down.

~Talon's POV~

My eyes widened in shock as I picked up a scent, her scent, I shook my head sadly, a knock on my door got me out my bed, swinging my door open, my jaws dropped in shock at the sight before me,

"Ariana..." I said,

"what are you doing here?"

she looked up at me and frowned, that was when I noticed my appearance,

"you idiot, how can you open the door to our mate looking like a druggie?" Ray growled at me, first time speaking to me since we found out her name, I sighed,

"how would I know it was her?" I asked and he growled,

"and why exactly did you think you picked up her scent if she wasn't here?" he replied annoyed, we were drawn out of our mental argument by a soft voice,

"uhmm...hello...I'm still here, would you mind maybe getting ready and meeting me in your office?" she asked still staring at me in disapproval, I nodded quickly and she turned and walked away.

I opened the door to my office, getting in to see her sitting at the opposite end of my desk, with Grey, Caine  and Dan on the couch, I rounded my desk and took my seat.

"Okay, first things first, would you mind not throwing Grey out the window again, it's not nice." she informed me and I glared at Grey for ratting me out,

"As long as he doesn't get on my nerves." I replied, she shrugged,

"Grey gets on everyone's nerves Talon, get used to it." she replied, I didn't really process what she said though, I was still stuck on how perfectly my name rolled of her tongue, I couldn't help but think how much I wanted to hear her scream it in pleasure, I bit my lips, as my body reacted to my thoughts and I took a deep breath trying to control myself,

"so I heard from Cain that you've agreed to let me keep my memories, Jaylen did as well, I'm really grateful for your understanding." she informed me with a smile, it's no wonder I picked up Jay's scent on her, she had gone to see him as well, I sighed in disappointment, knowing she probably only came here to hear my decision on her memories.

She stood up to leave and I sighed again,

"let me show you out." I offered standing up and she frowned, I thought she would turn me down,

"I was actually told your parents wanted to see me, rather than that, you could lead the way to them." I raised a brow at her words, wondering what my parents wanted with her, but nodded eagerly, as I walked up to her, leading the way.

As we walked, I kept stealing subtle glances of her but it seemed I wasn't subtle enough because she stopped and glared at me,

"staring is rude Talon." she informed and I chuckled guiltily, she suddenly laughed and I frowned in confusion,

"your expression though, I was kidding, you can stare, I don't mind." she replied with a confident smirk that looked so beautiful on her, my heart fluttered at the sight, we got there too soon and I stopped, a frown on my face,

"rest assured, don't miss me too much yet, something tells me you'll be seeing me around alot." she said mischievously, flashing me a heart stopping smile and I couldn't help grinning back,

"Talon, soon enough, it'll all fall into place, I'll make sure of that, do me a favour, when that day comes, let go and just let things happen as they should." she said, I gave her a puzzled look but nodded, she chuckled softly,

"promise me...?", she asked, I raised a brow and she pouted, I couldn't say no

"I promise." I replied , she nodded with a smirk,

"I'll hold you unto that Talon, btw, I never wish to see a tear in your beautiful eyes again." she said softly, leaning up, she placed a soft kiss on my cheek and I shuddered in pleasure, she smiled again and walked into the house, I stared after her for a long while and somehow I knew my healing process had just begun.

~Ariana's POV~

"So that's why I'm here." I said, I had been with Talon's parents for a while now, I had sent Talon away after I arrived and I took the time explaining the situation to them, about things they knew and things they didn't, I had told them about my status as their son and Jay's mate, my discovery of Jaylen and Talon, the rejection between them, my rejection, my desire to help dissolve the problems between the packs and then my current intentions, they both stared at me for a while, before nodding,

"I was wondering what the root of the problem was, now I understand." Bane, Talon's father said,

"I understand yours, but what could be the reason they would reject each other?" Mira, his mom asked,

"I'm wondering the same thing, I first thought it was due to fear of the packs reaction or their parents reaction but Jake and Leona already assured me that couldn't be the case, I do know it's mostly having to do with Talon though and I intend to figure it out, which is why, I will be needing your help." I said, and they both nodded,

"what would you have us do?" Bane asked eagerly and I smirked replying with a question,

"don't you think it's about time your pack house gets renovated?" I asked evilly, they looked at me puzzled and I smirked,

"don't worry about accommodation, I know a certain huge mansion with enough space to accommodate y'all, no costs whatsoever, what do you say we vacay in Lion territory.....?" I said, chuckling darkly

Our female lead is so evil , are you sure the pride house won't be torn apart , let's see how it goes, Jaylen and Talon are so not gonna like this , but who cares , we're gonna vacay in Lions territory y'all
