Chapter 47: Chapter 47
It had already been a week after the Eid-ul Adha day. Ihsan had never been this exhausted like she was today. They got back from Kano yesterday, where they went and greeted Daada's relatives. Maama was from Kano too, and it's a whole lot easier. They had already went to Argungun a day after Eid. Throughout the week, she had never had time for herself and Sadeeq had been on her neck. Luckily, they're leaving tomorrow morning, it was a short break after all.
Sadeeq entered the room and found her packing her clothes into her trolley, she had already packed his. He smiled by the door and walked in together with the tray and cup in his hands. He knew she would be hungry, that's why he went to the kitchen, made some pancakes and poured yoghurt for her. A decent meal. He knew she would love ice cream, but this was the only thing she could get.
"Well done, Vardah. You did a great job here." He placed down the tray and cup on the bed side drawer and hopped on the bed, where she had her clothes thrown higgledy-piggledy over the bed. She looked exhausted, and he started massaging her shoulders and neck.
She turned and gave him a rough kiss on the lips before she turned back to her clothes. She wanted to finish this before midnight. Luckily for her, their flight tomorrow isn't early in the morning, atleast she'll get some sleep. That's if Sadeeq haven't disturbed her with his touches here and there until she finally gave in.
He fed her with the pancakes while she packed her clothes. He didn't stop massaging her shoulders until she was done and he helped her put back the clothes into the closet and took their trolleys to the living room. She laid flat on the bed and watched as he walked back to the room and began taking off his clothes.
She closed her eyes, "What are you doing, Sadeeq?"
"I want to take a shower, with my wife ofcourse." He answered and straightened his hands towards her and she grunted before she took his hand in her. She was so tried and she knew Sadeeq will not let her be unless she took her bathe with him.
"Only shower, promise?" She asked and stood still as he began unbuttoning her shirt, it was a plain navy blue shirt. He helped her slid it off her hands and turned her back so he could unhook her bra. He did, and she used her hands to block his eyes from taking a peek at her chest.
"What are you doing, Ihsan?" He asked with a puppy face.
She turned innocently, her hands still firmly covering her chest. "I'm helping both you and I, you aren't supposed to see, touch or do anything to anything here today. We need to sleep, tomorrow we're going to catch a flight back to Qatar. Unzip this jeans please, I'm so tired of it." She replied cockily.
Sadeeq grunted before he did as she said and she sat down on the bed as he helped her slid it off her ankles. They walked to the bathroom together, and Sadeeq was so persistent that she had to let him bathe her and well, the touches are inevitable.
They only wore their sleeping dresses before Ihsan walked to the bed and laid down there. Sadeeq came and she cuddled next to him. She felt the lub dub beat of his heart, she grazed her hands on his chest and felt it's sensation, and the soft touch of his peck on her forehead was the last thing she felt before sleep overtook her soul with a smile playing on her cheeks. This was love. The kind of love she dreamt of having. A warm and cozy love. And Sadeeq, he's all kinds of warmth.

They were already in the airport. This time, Ihsan was lucky Daada, Maama, Ummu, Manal and Abbu were there to send them off. Even though Abbu and Daada were to catch a flight to Hong Kong too, but it was better than none. They chatted for a while before their flight was being called and the waterworks began.
She hugged Ummu and said "Ummu I really don't want to go, can't I study here?" Maama broke their hug and walked her to where Sadeeq was.
"Ummu you shouldn't answer her please, this girl ditched us all and lived with Sadeeq for all their stay here. Not for once did she sleep in my room or even yours. We don't want the pretense, just show us that you're happy you'll finally be free with your is it Yardan or Vardan?"
They all burst out laughing, and Ihsan hide her face on Sadeeq's chest. Ummu laughed and pointed at how they were standing. His hands around her waist, her face snuggled on his chest while she wrapped her hands around him.
"You see what Maama is talking about? Sadeeq you should leave, you're going to miss your flight in the next ten minutes. And you should not forget what I warned you two about." If not because of the presence of Daada and Maama, she knew Sadeeq would've replied her back. Ihsan could only chuckle.
They arrived at Qatar when the night was still young and the sky was yet to give birth to enough stars to brighten its whole. Sadeeq's friend, Mohammed came to take them back to their apartment. They only bought food at a restaurant before he dropped them.
Ihsan stood by the door, she couldn't take a step forward, she found it so hard to lift up her leg to enter the house. The last day she was there was the night she became stroke. A lot had changed in the span of weeks, she was so much in love. Hell bent and neck deep. The picture of Noor was finally taken out, could she do this again? It's like their lives were rewinded back and she found it hard to accept the heavy fact.
"Come in, Ihsan. You don't want to be sick, right?" He finished getting their bags into the house and found her standing there, tears glistening her eyes.
He held both her shoulder and smiled, he knew what she was thinking, from the way her face was cringing in pain.
"What is it, Ihsan?" He asked and placed both his hands on her shoulders.
She looked up at him and her tears finally fell. "Sadeeq, I'm afraid, I'm afraid if I set my feet into this house all those chaotic memories will be back, not as memories to laugh at or relish on, but they'll be back in us. We will walk back to the path we left behind our backs. And I love you too much to want that to happen to us." She broke into tears, wrapping her hands around his waist, placing her head on his chest.
Before he said a word, he pulled her up the ground and walked into the house, she laid there silently on his chest. He didn't drop her until he was on his room and on his bed. She sat down and he sat beside her, taking her hands in his.
"Ihsan, as I've told you, I can't promise you a smooth journey, because that only happens in movies. But all you have to know is I love you with all my heart and soul, I love you so much, and deliberately; I can never hurt you. So, if this house brings back the bad memories to you, let's find a new home."
Like the baby she was, she began shaking her head, she hugged him and spoke "I love you as much as the stars loves the moon, and I treasure you like the sky treasures the moon. You see, it's all about the moon, and you're the moon in my life, Sadeeq. You brighten my life, you beautify it, calm and soothe all the hassles in it. And I look up to living forever with you, till days we all turned gray hairs and wrinkles on our faces. That way I'll tell my grandkids how so much lovable you are to my life."
She pulled apart a little and took a look at the room, "And for this room, I'd love to have my kids here, because here's where it all started. Where we all started." She pointed at a spot and smiled "And over there, you gave me the best hug ever possible in life. The bare chest with a mist of water, a purple almost lacy bra, a light blue bum short, and a peeking baby pink pant hug. That was the best of its kinds."
He didn't know what to say to her, he was awestruck, amazed and tongue tied. She made him speechless. "This reminds me, Vardah. I went to Ummu's room when you came out of the shower, I haven't seen their colors today."
She began chuckling when Sadeeq started tickling her and began taking her clothes off, all in the name of wanting to see the color.
"Ummu!" She warned and he laughed before he sealed up their lips.

Three months later
Life had never been better like it was, for Ihsan and Sadeeq. They found love at a young age and nurtured it into something beautiful. It was weekends, and she was doing all she can to clean up the house. Yesterday night wasn't easy for her and Sadeeq as well, they invited their friends, Qamar and her hubby were there too, for a dinner. Even though she wasn't the one that cooked, it was stressful.
She was tidying up his room when he walked out of the bathroom, he showered. He rushed to where she was and took the blanket from her hand. "What are you doing, Ihsan? I told you I'll do it all, you shouldn't stress yourself. You said you were feeling dizzy and nauseous yesterday."
She looked at him gratefully and smiled, before she laid on his bed. "I think I'm sick, Sadeeq. But not my usual kind of sickness, this is a whole new type. I'll sleep a bit." She tucked herself in his blanket and snuggled her head into his pillow.
Sadeeq got himself ready before he went around the house and did all that was left by her to be done. He came back to the room and watched as she began shivering beneath his blanket. It made him up the creek. Because ever since that incident, he had stopped taking her sicknesses lightly.
He rushed to the bed and she was crying while shivering beneath her blanket, her teeth clattering. "Ihsan, let's go to the hospital." He uttered, agitated.
She shook her head adamantly, because she was the one that stopped them from getting to the hospital since yesterday. "I know I'll be fine, it's nothing sort of serious."
"How can you be fine like this?!" He didn't wait for her answer when he rushed to her room and brought out her Abaya. He helped her slid into it before he took her to the car, she had relented and stopped objecting.
While driving yo Al Ahli hospital, through the rear mirror, his eyes were fixed on her left leg, he knew he could have an attack the moment he saw a single shake of it. They arrived safely and were taken to the doctor's room.
All tests were done and they were sitting in the doctor's office waiting for the results, and when the nurse came into the office and handed the doctor the papers, he smiled.
Looking between their faces, how Sadeeq has nearly gone crazy and how Ihsan was shedding silent tears, he beamed again. He tapped Sadeeq's shoulder and smiled. "Masha Allah, brother. Congratulations to you two, she's two months pregnant, and this sickness is natural for pregnant women that are in their first trimester and also..." they didn't wait for him to finish before they both stood up and Sadeeq lifted her up, whirling her to the sky.
"Sadeeeeeeeqqqqq!!!!" She squealed and laughed, as if she wasn't the one that was sick some minutes ago. The doctor could only laugh at how they had clearly gone out of their minds, laughing, giggling and squealing.
