Chapter 19: Chapter 19

Ihsan slowly squinted her eyes, and her gaze fell on Sadeeq's face, whom had his eyelashes beautifully casted on his cheekbones. She had never been this close to him all her life, and that gave her the opportunity to check the whole him out.

Her eyes slowly lifted up from his chin that had nothing on it, not even a strand of hair that one day could grow out to be some beard. To his long chiseled nose she wished she could graze hers on. She looked at his eyes that were close, and she could shudder at the mere thought of being stared at with those amber eyes that always made her go nuts. His perfectly arched brows, she smiled; knowing she always made them creased in confusion.

She brought her eyes back to his lips, and they were pursed into a little pout-which made her snorted and uttered "He's just a boy that even pouts when asleep," groggily as she closed her eyes to get rid of the slight pain she felt in her head.

"You can say that again, after you finished cuddling with me yesterday, idiot!" She heard his sleepy voice, while slowly opening his eyes.

She abruptly opened her eyes and jerked away from his body, making a huge distance between them on the bed. "I don't have your time, mumu. You better stand up and get ready for school, you said you have a test right? You shouldn't be late." She reminded and placed her frail feets on the cold marbled floor, taking a deep breath as the cold seep through her melted soul.

"You're also going, your classes starts today. Don't act all sluggish if you don't want to find your way there." He lazily dragged his legs out of the blanket and placed them down on the floor, looking at how she stood midway in the room; glaring at him.

"What do you mean that I should get ready too? Wait, I haven't even got the chance to ask Daada, what course did you applied for me?" She asked, trying to get her messy hair back into its ribbon.

She looked so comfortable, Sadeeq thought. "I mean you should go and do all the necessary things today, collect your timetable and know your department and school in general. It was medical radiography, like the course?" He inquired, standing up as he stretched his whole body; stifling a yawn.

"Yes it's not bad, I've always wanted to help the humanity medically. And you, what are you studying?" She realized that they almost lived together in the same house but she had never got to know the course he was studying for a whole year in Qatar. The evidence that she didn't give a damn about his life!

"What concerns you about my life? Can you just move out of the room and get your bath before we're all late?" He groaned annoyingly and began walking towards the bathroom in his room.

Ihsan hissed and rolled her eyes at him, "Have you realized that you being an idiot would never let us have even the first five minutes of our lives with a reasonable talk rather than a fight? What would it do to you just to answer a simple question?" She hissed softly and shook her head in disgust, before walking towards the door.

"I study civil engineering. Now, get your stupid ass out of my room. And I repeat, don't you dare waste my time." With that, he walked into the bathroom and banged the door, without even waiting for an answer from her.

"And you're an asshole! Idiot!" She yelled angrily and stomped out of the room. She entered into her room and slumped on the bed, letting out an exasperated groan.

"That boy is very stupid! I must surely teach him a lesson today." She avowed and stood up. Taking out her toiletries, she wrapped her petite frame into her forever loyal pink towel and sashayed to the bathroom, hissing with each passing minute.

Ihsan walked out of the bathroom looking all fresh and scented. She headed towards the mirror and pulled out her makeup bag; not that she had everything more than her lotions, a single pack of powder, her deodorants, a white lipstick and her kohl. Then her perfumes, the bestest of them all.

She quickly finished getting reading and placed her big trolley on her bed, leaving it wide open not being able to choose between the heap of jeans and tops staring back at her with smiling faces. She let out a sigh and finally picked a black jeans with a black top that reached her hips with white dots on it. Donning on a white veil over her head, she bathed herself with perfumes and looked at herself in her mirror before taking out a pair of shoes and a chained side bag. All set to go.

She silently walked to the living room and found Sadeeq eating his breakfast, she could smell its taste still lingering in the house. So he made them breakfast? Quite impressive.

"Let me taste the boy's cooking abilities and judge wether he's good or not." It was as if she was talking to herself rather than intentionally wanting to annoy him.

He looked at her and choked on his food. "Easy there tiger, eat your food in peace or else you wouldn't be able to write your test." She warned and served herself, sitting at the other sofa around the living room, not flashing him a glance.

All Sadeeq did was stare at her, and she snubbed his complete existence. She finished her breakfast and stood up, sliding her bag over her shoulder and she looked at him, "I'm ready, let's leave." She had that expression of no nonsense on her face, which almost made Sadeeq laughed, knowing what he intended to do to her.

"Where do you think you're going like this? You must be insane." He shook his head and relaxed back into his sofa. He wished she wouldn't act stubborn so they could leave early.

She looked at her outfit and glared at him, "what do you mean? What's wrong with my outfit?"

"You better go back and change into a gown or an Abaya, or drape a kimono or whatever it is you call it over these clothes." He crossed his arms across his chest and looked away, not wanting to keep looking at her and give her the expression that he enjoyed looking at her with the jean making her look extra hot than she was.

"Kai let me be clear with you, I'm not changing into anything nor am I draping anything over my clothes. What do you think of yourself? It's better we spend our day in this living room I think." And she surprised him by slumping down onto her sofa as she on the tv, not even glancing his way. But he could tell she was fuming.

Sadeeq pulled out his phone, and the next thing Ihsan heard was "Good morning, Daada." It's 8:45am here, and he knew Daada must have just woken up there, considering the two hours difference between the countries.

She abruptly looked at him, not being able to hear what Daada had said. she watched as he replied "Daada actually it's Ihsan, she isn't sick tho. We're leaving for school now, and she isn't going to put on an abaya above her jeans, she's acting stubborn." And he clenched his eyes shut at the hot glare she sent his way, stomping right above him as she snatched away the phone.

"Daadaaa..." she slurred, not wanting to vent out on him instead of the boy staring at her with a smirk playing on his lips.

Sadeeq didn't know what he said to her, but he saw her face loosening its knots at her forehead and she nodded hesitatingly. "It's okay, Daada, you need not to worry. And I promise you I'm taking my medicines, but these new ones are sour and whatever taste is it they are, they make me nauseous." She knew what played in Sadeeq's mind the minute she said that, for she saw him smiled.

"What?! You're having a breakfast at Abbu's house? Ya Allah, tell them I love them, we need to go Daada, I'll call you when we're back. Tell Abbu that I have a case to file in his court later today. I love you, Daada. Tell Maama same, Ummu too." And she hanged up the call and flung it over Sadeeq's stomach.

"Who do you think you are to report me to Daada just to make me drape over a kimono on my jeans? What concerns you with my jeans?" She inquired, her hands at akimbo as she kept glaring at him. If looks could kill, Sadeeq would've been long dead.

"Because you're my wife, and you can't go out with these tiny unhealthy hips propping out of your jeans." He regretted that, because the look in her eyes told him he must surely pay for that.

"I won't fight you today, because I already promised Daada that I won't. But you will repeat this later, and we shall see who has tiny unhealthy hips. Idiot." She took the cap of the water bottle beside him and threw it at his face before she stomped to her room.

She came back with the kimono draped over her body but the belt was loosely tightened. He could still see her thighs beneath her jeans from there, but it was better than having none over.

"Useless boy, let's leave." She declared and went to the door without waiting for him, still seething.

"Tighten the belt Ihsan, pull the ends of the fabric so it could close half of you." He demanded and met her standing at the door.

She looked up, leaving her mouth agape. "You're seriously insane, if you think I'd do that then you're stupid! And I need some fresh air, you know we-those who's hemoglobins aren't full-we usually feel hot and it isn't good for our health. So if we could leave."

She didn't wait for his answer as she turned the door knob but halted midway. "But wait, are you by any chance jealous? Because I can't grasp the reason of all these." She was glaring at him, demanding for an answer.
