Chapter 15: Chapter 15

Winnie bowed her head like a misbehaving child, her shoulders shaking slightly. Primrose spoke to her to reassure her, calling for her to come down. At this time, Winnie cautiously took every step.

"This is Winnie, the cousin I told you about. She will remain in the same house with us until she finds a new job and a place to live."

After being interrupted earlier, Joel was not satisfied. He just looked coldly at Winnie and then nodded to Primrose to show that he understood. Anyway, Joel had no interest in getting to know or getting too close to girls other than Primrose.

Winnie, since seeing Joel, had bright eyes and was constantly staring at Joel making him somewhat uncomfortable. She said a few more sentences and went upstairs. Primrose didn't notice the strange atmosphere, just quietly reassured Winnie.

"Don't worry, he just doesn't like being around strangers but has a very good personality."

Winnie nodded, and her face flushed strangely. Primrose thought that she was so scared when she saw Joel that she blushed and shivered, so she only gave more instructions and went upstairs to let her be alone.

Alone, Winnie looked at Joel, who had just left, and suddenly felt a little disgruntled. Anyway, when she was at school, she was always beautiful and was noticed by many boys in the school. Many people confessed their love every day; she was used to being the center of attention. Suddenly meeting an elite man who is cold will make you feel extremely excited.

That night, when having dinner, Joel, because he wanted to have more contact with Primrose, sat very close to her and kept picking up food for her. Winnie had a few times when he wanted to start a conversation with him, and he always replied casually, focusing only on talking to Primrose. Primrose ignored him, only occasionally reminding Winnie to eat a little more.

"I've eaten enough."

Winnie only ate a few bites, put down her plate, and elegantly wiped her mouth with a tissue. Primrose swallowed the steak, surprised.

"Did you eat so little?"

Winnie mumbled in response, her eyes seemingly endless on Joel.

"Yes, eating a lot in the evening will make me fat; additionally, because my stomach is small, I can't eat too much. My mother said, men usually like slim girls, eating too much will make me fat, they won't like it."

Primrose suddenly exclaimed, no wonder Winnie's figure is so beautiful; it's not easy. After Winnie leaned back into the room, Primrose tilted her head to look at Joel.

"Why were you so cold to Winnie during the whole meal? She's my cousin, don't embarrass her."

Joel soon got used to the approach of the girls around him, and of course, he understood what Winnie's purpose was. He had no interest in having an ambiguous relationship with Winnie, so he tried to ignore Winnie's seductive eyes and meaningful words.

"Don't you feel that Winnie has bad intentions towards me?"

Joel sighed. Primrose is indeed a heartless girl. Her cousin tried to seduce him, lightly touching his feet under the table, yet Primrose calmly advised him to talk to Winnie more.

"There is none. She's still young; she must be a fan of you."

Primrose also did not find Winnie's attitude strange; anyway, her personality seemed gentle, probably because she wanted to get close to her and Joel, so she tried to communicate.

"Primrose, you are a cold woman. I already warned you; don't blame me for not telling you in the future."

Joel got angry and decided not to continue explaining to her, but would do his best to prevent this cousin.

After eating, Joel and Primrose also returned to the room together. Joel habitually goes into the office to handle a little more work for the company and then lies on the bed to rest for a while. When he had just laid back on the bed, there was a knock on the door and a soft and pitiful call.

"Joel, it's me, Winnie."

A blue vein appeared on Joel's forehead, indicating that he was experiencing something unusual and was dreading having to get up and open the door. When he saw Winnie outside, his eyes became even colder than ice, and his eyebrows furrowed.

Winnie is now wearing only a thin two-piece dress made of white silk, with the skirt sticking to her body to reveal all of her seductive curves. The collar is also very late, almost half of the breasts are exposed, and the body still has a strong scent of shower gel. Not to mention, the dress is also very short, and the white and slim legs are all exposed, half closed and half open, attracting the eyes of the opposite person.

However, Joel is not the type of man who will notice these little tricks. At Winnie's obvious charm, Joel laughed coldly in his heart. Yet Primrose was nice to her and said Winnie was an innocent person, apparently just good at pretending.

It seemed that his puzzled smile made Winnie shiver slightly; she tilted her head to look up, using wide innocent eyes to talk to Joel.

"Brother-in-law, the faucet in my bathroom is broken; I was taking a shower and the water ran out. Can you come in and help me?"

Winnie tightened the white towel in her hand, there were still small water stains on her body, and her appearance was very pitiful. After saying that, she bowed her head shyly, just barely exposing her breasts in front of Joel. He half smiled, suddenly wanting to call Primrose here to see what kind of person her "naive" cousin was.

"Is the faucet broken?"

Joel asked again, deliberately emphasizing the word "broken" in a mocking way. Winnie forced a nod, deliberately exposing her delicate collarbone and silky skin in front of Joel, trying to expose all of her curves.

Joel was afraid that he would get mad at Winnie for one more second and then kick her out of the house, only coldly laughing and leaving a sarcastic comment before slamming the door.

"Then you must come and find Primrose. Don't you know the difference between men and women? Dressing up as if appearing in front of men is so easily disgusting."

Joel obviously did not want to treat Winnie gently. For a woman like this, looking at her a little more makes him extremely disgusted.

After leaving Winnie unwilling to stand still, Joel decided to make this clear to Primrose tomorrow. Having rushed into his arms on the first day, he was not sure if Winnie would harm Primrose because of his rejection. Moreover, Joel also has no intention of letting a woman like Winnie stay in the house.

The next morning, Primrose still followed the old routine of going to work very early. Although Joel tried to wake up earlier than usual, she had left the house long ago. He clutched his head in anguish, evidently having no choice but to endure Primrose's anger to calm itself.

As for Winnie, he planned to speak to Primrose tonight in front of her to see if she could still object.

Joel on the other side is very depressed because of Primrose's separation, while Primrose is very serene and loves life. She was in a relatively good mood this morning when she arrived at the company, so she went to a nearby cafe to buy a cup of cappuccino, making it convenient to buy another cup for Nancy. The weather is cool and fresh, a warm cup of cappuccino is very suitable to enjoy.

At lunchtime, before Primrose could ask Nancy to go with her, her phone rang from her bag.

"Mom, what's wrong?"

Primrose pressed listening, tone relaxed. Her mother seemed to be outside gathering with her friends, and sometimes she could hear a small whisper.

"Primrose, do you and Joel have time this afternoon? Tonight, the child of our aunt Anna, our neighbor, returns. She just brought our whole family there to have dinner and enjoy the wine her son brought back from abroad."

Primrose remembered her aunt Anna's son, a boy two years older than her, they were also relatively close when they were children. However, he later went abroad to study abroad during his high school years, so they did not contact much after that.

Now that he's back, it's understandable that Aunt Anna is excited to have a party. After all, at their house, whenever a certain family had a good time, everyone would have dinner together and enjoy fine and expensive wines. In Nancy's words, that's how the rich enjoy life.

"I'm free tonight, I'll ask Joel later if he has time to go there. If possible, we will return together."

"Okay, then you should bring Winnie, too, leaving her alone at home will make her feel lonely."

Primrose's mother added. Anyway, Winnie was at Primrose's house right now, and it wouldn't be so nice if she returned to leave Winnie alone.

"I know that. I'll call Joel now, goodbye, Mommy."

Primrose finished speaking, then hung up, conveniently pressing to call Joel, and the phone was quickly connected. Primrose repeated her mother's words to Joel earlier. Joel said he was not busy tonight and would drive her home.

"Yeah, my mother told us to bring Winnie home with us, so you remember to tell Aunt Iris not to cook dinner for us."
