Chapter 61: Chapter 61
After Rakia returned from Peru, she found Dashtan and Dalilah arguing in the living room. They hadn’t noticed her presence so Rakia had watched them argue with a flat expression. During her time in Peru, she had been pondering whether she should move into her new apartment immediately or wait for the right moment. She listened to the material being debated by the two humans who had been upsetting her lately. They were still discussing Dalilah’s insistence on moving in with Dashtan and Rakia.
“Ash! I’m your wife now too, and we’ve agreed to go through with this until you manage to fix your mistake.” Dalilah spoke with anger clearly visible in her eyes. Dashtan sighed while Rakia was confused and wondered.
“Did they discuss this while I was gone? Oh, my God... It’s a good thing I came back today.” Her mind began to nag.
“Yes, I know that, but I can’t hurt Rakia by making you guys share a house and fight every day, I’m the aggrieved one here, this is my house and I’m free to decide who can live here.” Dashtan persisted in arguing.
“Are you going to let me stay alone and let Steven blackmail me? You know he’s a crazy man.” Dalilah’s voice began to rise in volume. Rakia was intrigued by their discussion, it was like she was watching a television drama right now, with her husband and another wife acting out the drama.
“You’re crazy too, so it’s only natural that you’re together,” Dashtan concluded with a smirk on his face.
“Are you done?” Rakia decided to end the play as she needed to rest after her long flight. The two humans simultaneously turned to her and were surprised.
“Habibti, are you home?!” Dashtan looked surprised and confused. He was also suddenly nervous. Rakia approached the two annoying humans as she pulled her suitcase with graceful steps. Dalilah stared at Rakia without blinking, she had to admit the woman had a striking charm and charisma, just like Dashtan. Her mind was saddened by the bitter reality, that she was indeed not comparable to a woman named Rakia Adeline who was only a journalist. Even her position as one of the leading female CEOs was outmatched by her.
Unlike Dashtan, he looked at Rakia like an angel who had just descended from the sky with a charm that thrilled him. It made him even more unwilling to let her go, even though he sounded like the most selfish and evil man in the world, he wouldn’t care. He just wanted Rakia to be with him, even if she hated him he would spend his whole life making her forgive him. It sounded crazy, but Dashtan was determined to do it patently. If it wasn’t for the mistakes he had made recently and needing Dalilah’s help, he wouldn’t have broken his promise to Rakia.
“Are you still trying to stay here?” asked Rakia as she fixed Dalilah with her deadly gaze. Dalilah tried to look defiant but to no avail, she was more than a little nervous now.
“I am also Dashtan’s wife now and I have the right to ask him for that,” Dalilah defended herself. Rakia chuckled with a pinched feeling in her heart, after all what the woman said was true. They were both wives of Dashtan Al Ghani.
“Alright then.”
Rakia’s words made Dashtan widen his eyes in surprise.
“But Habibti-“
“She can stay here and will occupy my room, while I....” Rakia trailed off and turned her body toward Dashtan.
“Will sleep with you, in your room,” Rakia broke off which now made Dalilah widen her eyes while Dashtan played a faint smile on her lips.
“That’s not fair,” Dalilah snapped with her face starting to turn red from holding back anger. Rakia turned to stare at the woman with both foreheads raised.
“You asked to live in this house, while there are only two bedrooms in this house. I... graciously gave you my room and in return I have to occupy the other room, which is Dashtan’s room and that means I have to share a bed with him.” Rakia looked at Dalilah with a look of feigned innocence. But that only increased the volume of Dalilah’s anger.
“That’s not fair, you’re monopolizing Dahstan while he also has another wife, which is me.” Dalilah spewed out her desire. She wanted to slap the woman but she had to respond to the woman in an elegant manner. Rakia laughed softly, Dashtan massaged his forehead.
“Then I’ll give you a choice, but Dashtan decides.” Rakia began her game.
“First choice, you sleep in my room, and I share the room and bed with Dashtan or... I keep my room and you sleep in the apartment I bought, or... Dashtan is the only one in this house, I’ll stay in the apartment I bought while you sleep in your house.” Rakia looked at Dalilah and Dashtan in turn. She knew the choices she gave were not in Dalilah’s favor. Her the other side laughed and enjoyed the moment. Dashtan sighed while Dalilah could only surrender with a sour face.
“I choose the third option,” said Dahstan who was not without meaning to say that. Rakia snorted but she smelled Dashtan’s despicable intentions. Dalilah finally protested and that was what Dashtan expected.
“But Ash, one of your wives must live with you.”
“Then I choose the first choice,” Dashtan corrected which still made Dalilah unacceptable, Rakia waited while looking at her nails which looked shiny because they had received treatment while she was in Peru. She let the two humans she wanted to destroy argue.
“That’s not fair to me.” Dalilah looked at Dashtan pleading for understanding.
“Then the second option remains.” Dashtan said with a ‘No other choice left’ look on her face. Dalilah sighed harshly. Rakia smiled with pursed lips, a smile that only touched her eyes slightly.
“Deal, second choice,” said Rakia.
“No, first choice,” Dalilah argued. Rakia was quite surprised while Dashtan cheered inwardly.
“I want to live here too, with you guys.”
“Deal.” Dashtan immediately validated the choice.
“I’ll move in tomorrow,” informed Dalilah.
“And Rakia will move in tonight,” Dashtan said as he stared at Rakia like she was prey that he would devour and savor every inch of. Rakia returned the man’s gaze with the same stare, but in a different context. Rakia would not let the man dominate her while Dashtan would not let Rakia out of his grasp.
“Well, since it’s decided, I should get ready to move.” Rakia walked away after saying that sentence. Dashtan and Dalilah both stared at Rakia’s leaving with their own thoughts. Dalilah thought of ways to fight the woman and make herself dominate Dashtan, while Dashtan thought of ways to keep Rakia by his side.
