Chapter 32: Chapter 32
It was an exhausting reception for Rakia and Dashtan. They were now in the suite that was their bridal suite. Rakia was taking off the heels she had been wearing for hours and lightly massaging her throbbing calves. Dashtan took off his tie and outerwear in the living room of the suite. He also undid the cufflinks and one button of his shirt at the top. Not forgetting the buttons at his wrists, he then rolled up his sleeves to his elbows. It was five o’clock in the afternoon. Dashtan and Rakia had agreed to limit their reception hours so as not to get too tired, but they were already tired enough. Most of the guests they had invited had come, especially Dashtan’s business colleagues and Dashtan’s father. As well as guests from Rakia’s side, her friends at Daily Singapore, her father’s colleagues, her mother and Pedro’s doctor. Rakia didn’t expect that many guests even though she had limited them, but it turned out that her wedding to Dashtan was not just a wedding. Local and foreign media covered the event. Especially the Dubai News media. Dashtan’s stepfather who is a member of parliament made the wedding not escape the media.
“Hi, want me to help you take off the dress?” asked Dashtan as he approached Rakia, who was sitting in front of the dressing table, struggling to remove the small tiara that was pinned on top of her hair as a pin for the tulle cloth that dangled for several meters. Rakia looked at Dashtan through the mirror then nodded.
“Sorry for the kiss,” Dashtan said, breaking the silence between them. Rakia lowered her gaze from Dashtan to avoid eye contact.
“I guess... It was necessary to convince all those people.” Those words seemed to burn her tongue. The small sting in her heart made her startle but only for a split second and Rakia regained her composure.
“I’ll take that as a no-brainer, deal?” asked Rakia as she raised her gaze to Dashtan who was still staring at the tiara he had managed to place on the table. The man looked at Rakia with a small smile.
“Deal,” Dashtan replied.
“Do we have to stay here?” asked Rakia, changing the subject.
“You want to stay here? We have two full nights to enjoy the facilities in this place,” Dashtan said and then smoothed Rakia’s hair that was starting to unravel as he untangled his wife’s hair. Rakia considered. She still had two days before she had to go to work. But she was stuck with the one-room problem.
“But there’s only one bed,” Rakia said innocently. Dashtan smiled almost laughing.
“The bed is big enough for both of us,” he said, trying to hide the humor in his words. Rakia’s eyes bulged as she stared at Dashtan who was currently standing behind her while placing his hands on each of her shoulders.
“That’s rude, Mr. Pervert,” Rakia said which only made Dashtan want to tease even more.
“I’m your husband, so sleeping together is natural.”
At that, a hard elbow hit Dashtan’s stomach muscle. The man only felt a little pain but he deliberately overreacted to make Rakia satisfied to vent her irritation.
“Don’t be silly and forget yourself.” Rakia gave Dashtan an annoyed look.
“I didn’t forget myself, did I? I’m your husband.” Dashtan lowered his face to one of Rakia’s ears on the right side. Rakia glanced over with misgivings.
“You can choose, sleep on that bed with me or... Sleep on the sofa but also with me,” Dashtan said in a low voice that only made Rakia tingle. The woman immediately turned her body to face Dashtan. She found the man’s ignorant smile and intended to return it. Rakia stood up and brought her body closer to Dashtan, her original intention was to return the man’s teasing, she was distracted by the scent of musk that Dashtan released from his body.
“How about... Sleep with me without using anything, but...” Rakia brought her face closer to Dashtan, the man’s eyeballs seemed to dilate slightly then the next second his neutrals seemed to be more intense. Rakia looked at Dashtan’s lips which seemed to tempt her to taste that thing even if only for a moment.
“But what...?” Dashtan wanted to know he asked in a low, sexy voice. Somehow the interruption turned into a flirtation that invited their respective desires. But Rakia quickly realized their improper situation, so she quickly gave an answer.
“But... In your dreams,” Rakia said as she pinched Dashtan’s waist so hard that the man startled and groaned in pain. Rakia glared at Dashtan as she did so then left the man in a state of irritation to head to the bathroom. Dashtan, who was not expecting Rakia’s sudden attack, could only grimace while cursing in her mind. He stared at the figure of his wife who was moving away and deeper into the suite.
“Huh. I’ll get back at her someday,” Dashtan promised in his mind. He who initially wanted to tease Rakia became the target of the woman’s counterattack. Meanwhile, Rakia was looking for her cell phone in the bag she had brought here. When Dahstan came into view in front of the television in the same room as her now, Rakia immediately said, “Do you want to take a shower? Go ahead.” After saying that Rakia went to the front of the dressing table to call Lizzy. Dashtan also rushed into the bathroom, after Rakia made sure the man entered the bathroom, she immediately took the bathrobe that was available on a table along with other toiletries and called Lizzy to help her take off her dress. To be honest, she had left it at that but Dashtan had joked about it. She thought he would take a shower right away so she could call Lizzy to help her take off her wedding dress.
A few minutes later, Lizzy arrived after being invited in by Rakia. Lizzy looked around for Dashtan.
“Where’s your husband?” asked Lizzy looking at Rakia in surprise, but Rakia immediately gave her the code to help her take off her dress.
“He’s in the shower,” Rakia replied shortly.
“Why don’t you tell him to take this dress off, you might as well have your first night early,” Lizzy chirped as her hands unzipped the long dress that reached Rakia’s lower back. Hearing Lizzy’s words just now Rakia rolled her eyes and subconsciously said, “Dashtan and I won’t be having our first night ever, me and di are just.... “
Rakia immediately stopped talking then raised her gaze to the mirror to look at Lizzy who was frowning while looking at her.
“Is there something you’re not telling me, Kia?” asked Lizzy who was surprised by Rakia’s words just now. Rakia also lowered her gaze for a moment as she sighed loudly through her nose. Since it was no longer possible to try to hide it from Lizzy, Rakia decided to nod and said, “I’ll tell you later, now help me take off this dress.”
